Hello everyone
I'm new to the boards, this is my first post. I'm not even sure if I'm doing this right. I have seen a lot of the designs and stuff on here and I am amazed. I was wondering if any of you might have some designs for tshirts that i could use? My 2 daughters and I are taking my grand daughter to disney in march. It's the first time for all of us and I would love to be able to do up some tshirts for us. thank you

Well, we just got home from soccer practice. No rain in 5 months and as soon as soccer starts, bam....lightning.

OMG I'm so excited! I got my gas bill today! (never thought you'd hear those two sentances together did ya? )
To give you a back story...we have a gas line that goes behind our house to our barn. About three years ago, the line broke (small leak but enough to scare the crap out of us) and it was deemed our fault because it's a private line not the public gas line. Since we are on budget our gas bill shot through the roof for a year and a half (the leak wasn't noticed for almost two weeks.) It was at $172 for a year, then dropped to $98 then this year it's been at $66. (Becuase we were on budget, we have to pay a set amount each month; because of the leak, it went up alot and we've had a HUGE balance since then.) They just refigured our balance again (budget up in August) and we *still* have a huge balance with the gas company, they dropped our budget to $25!!!
It's hard not to close the account and get the $ that they've been sitting on, but it'll be a live saver this winter knowing we only have to pay $25.
That's my exciting news for today.

All in all it's been a good day today...did laundry and went out to supper with my girls (and Jim) tonight and it was so sweet Cassidy told me I'm her bestest friend. I know we were the ones to be jealous of yesterday as Cassidy WANTED to go around the fair with us.
Abi also said I was her best friend after she decided that she couldn't be her own best friend.

Have I ever told you all what a lucky mama I am?

Very long day tomorrow - have to get up at 5am to get everything together to leave by 7am - then I have an 8 hour drive - then a 1-1/2 hour meeting, then a 1-1/2 hour performance review with my boss. I'm the opposite! I love CSI and NY but can't stand Miami - I just don't like Horatio... and some of the other actors look too similar to the ones in CSI

I agree with you. I don't like David Caruso, the actor who plays Horatio, ever since he left NYPD Blue thinking he was the star of the show and was moving on to "better things" on the big screen. Interesting that NYPD Blue went on to bigger & better things and David Caruso pretty much went nowhere until he came back to TV.

CSI is one of my favorites now. House is good as well.

My family has all chosen to go to Christian churches....but according to my grandma I will always be a lapsed Catholic. She is in constant prayer for all of us to come back to the Church. It's not enough for her that we are very committed Christians...oh well.

My mom raised us Christian after divorce from my dad and it was a problem to him that we weren't raised Catholic. I just pray my kids have a close relationship with God at an early age (whether it's christian or catholic protestant or baptist doesn't seem as important) to avoid some of the mistakes I made as a young adult (I went to church but didn't have a close relationship til after marriage and kids) Just my opinion.

Holy crap! Is anyone watching Monday Night Football? ESPN has this thing called "Ulti-Mo" (instead of Slo-Mo) and -- wow!! -- is it cool. It's the slowest thing I've ever seen and in PERFECT clarity and totally fluid. We hit rewind and watched it again just for the video aspect!

Well, I tried the Mexican Casserole tonight. I can't remember who posted the original recipe, but thank you. I thought it was very yummy! I did however, leave out the kidney beans, and the kids have requested that next time I leave out the tomatos as well. So then it will be just meat, chips and cheese.

I posted it! Glad you liked it! I wonder if you could add tomato paste or sauce and still get the tomato taste without the texture that kids don't seem to like. It's a really good meal, though. Instead of the beans you could add a can of corn. My kids like the beans, though, so I add them. It also helps to stretch the meat a bit.

Wow!! I am SIGNIFICANTLY more jealous about that than your cruise even!! I don't think I could get over a bill that low. I'm absolutely DREADING our winter bill, because our electric bill is bad enough!
