Claire, I bought your stamp for my postcard to send you the other day...$0.75 and a HUGE AirMail stamp that the &%$#$& post office lady stamped RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the postcard...of course she stamped "AirMail' on the postcard AFTER she put the $0.75 stamp on the postcard. So forgive me when you get your postcard in the mail. :teeth:

oooohh a postcard! I LOVE getting post cards...will have to keep my eyes peeled for the postman :thumbsup2

OMG! Reading this in my head, it sounded out PERFECTLY!

ETA: Ok, now I feel bad.

ok I have a travel question too...

We are flying continental into Newark and then a few hours later flying continental to MCO... do we have to go through immigration and get our luggage off the racks and then re check in? Any idea how long that might take?

isn't it your turn?

I will go with the next line

so we were having no luck and the CM tells us to hold on and goes to get a flashlight

This I have no idea. I've never flown internationally. How long is your layover?

ETA: Just checked!
Yes, you'll have to go through customs in EWR. But you get your luggage, go through customs, and right after customs you'll more than likely have someone there to recheck it onto the EWR to MCO flight.

We wait forever for him to finally come back with the flashlight.

You all are really going to be disappointed with this story. It doesn't seem to be as funny now, and with this damn new search engine, I can't find the original trip report.

erm a couple of hours on the way there and about 4 on the way back (we were worried if we missed the return flight out of newark we'd be stranded for 24 hours!)

cool - does that mean we don't have to go through customs again when we get to Orlando?

I think it's time for some of your shameless posting Clare . . . . . . . .

What's everyone's opinion on this?

www.cnn.com
Their headline story is that you can watch the events from 9/11/01 unfold via CNN Pipeline in realtime starting Monday at 8:30am...

I didn't want to see it the first time. DH was on his way into the city & saw the towers on fire. Many people from our community including Dana went in to volunteer to help. They did a lockdown on Katie's school so I couldn't even get to her (she was in kindergarten). I guess people are interested but once for enough for me. Sorry for the rant, but it feels like it was yesterday.

shameless post since Kristin isn't here

At least I'm not the only one that feels this way.

I will give a little more here b/c I don't think Tammi realizes how funny their excahnge was:

so he finally gets back and we find the ring - Tammi's response was classic:

"that's it - that's not a ring - I waited all that time to see that!?!?!?!?!"

So then Tammi asks him

t: "got any other good stories for us"
cm: "what one do you want to know"
t: "well if I knew it then I wouldn't have to ask you"
cm: kind of looked like a deer in headlights :teeth:
t: "tel us about the yellow streets"
cm: "what?"
t: "you know the streets are yellow b/c of the pee"
the poor cm looked totally confused and seemed lost!
t: never mind -

we thanked him profusely and decided that we needed to add him to our list of CMs we wanted to write Disney about (which we never have) but I questioned how we would remember his name...
