During all this sadness today, Leighanna took it upon herself to try to cheer me up. She told me to come into the family room and this is what I found.
I told her that Batman wasn't part of Disney. She said that he was there for me. I asked her why? She said he is a superhero, and that I was her superdad.

God sure knew what he was doing the day Leighanna was born.

OMG thank you Tom!! This post made me smile. Thank you Leighanna for being such a wonderful daughter to your superdad!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

And with this post, I'm going to bed with a smile on my face. I really didn't think that would be possible. But now I know anything is possible with the DDA... I love you all....

I just spent the last hour creating a contact list for anyone that has sent me their info. My plan is to list whatever information I have, then I will email the file to Vicki so that she can add whatever additional information that she might have. If I have an email address for you I will send the completed contact list to you once finished. If you do not want your information shared amongst our "regular" posters please PM me and I will not share your information. I truly feel like we are a big family and am comfortable sharing my info, but understand if some of you would rather not. So if you'd like to be added to the list I am listing Screen Name, First and Last name, address, phone number(s) and email addresses. I have had a really good response so far. It is unfortunate that it took an tragedy like this for us to realize that we may need to contact each other, but it seems that June has brought us a little closer together.

Deb

Thanks for doing this, Deb.

I received this in the mail today. I think they made a big mistake. I was :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I read it to my mother and she said even I don't qualify for that study. :rotfl2: I know it is for a legitimate study but I definitely do not qualify. I really wonder how they got my name and address. :confused3 :confused3 They must be desperate for test subjects, are they wanting me to put my name on a waiting list for once I get to this point?? :confused3

Here is the letter.

Are hot flashes making you miserable? You're not alone.

Hot flashes are the most common symptom of menopause, 85% of postmenopausal women experience the discomfort of hot flashes-sudden sensations of heat, often accompanied by sweating, racing pulse, and anxiety. Hot flashes that occur during sleep can disrupt your rest-leaving you fatigued and irritable.

If you're suffering from hot flashes, you might be pleased to know that there is a clinical research underway studying an investigational drug to relieve hot flashes.

You may be eligible to participate in the important clinical research trial being conducted medical professionals in your area. To qualify, you must be between the ages of 40 and 64, have not had a hysterectomy, have not had a period of at least 6 months, and you must be experiencing bothersome hot flashes with sweating everyday.

Qualified participants will receive at no charge:
medical and gynecologic exams
mammogram
laboratory tests
electrocardiogram
study-related medication
compensation for time and travel

Call us now for more about this clinical research study. We'll be happy to answer you questions and determine whether you are eligible to participate.

At the bottom it says: Names and addresses for this communication were obtained from publicly available lists. I wonder how many males received this letter? :confused3

Terry how are you doing?

Actually, not good, cannot stop crying.

I am good health wise.
Gonna be tired tomorrow

I sure hope your ankle gets better.
Stephanie went thru a lot of pain before hers got better.
Will be thinking good thoughts for you.

Kate & Kelli-great photos!

Debbie-I love your new signature.

Tom-what a special little girl you have!

Beth/Deb-do you know what age boyscout starts? Joe was asking me about it tonight. He's still too young isn't he?

Joe's first full day is tomorrow. I wonder how Emma will handle that.

Good night all.

Tom -- Leighanna is beautiful and sensitive too. Waiting 17 years certainly gave you all the perfect family.

On July 15, 2006, I met an amazing woman named June. Her DIS name is legalslave and her signature is a picture of her and her main man, Goofy. From all of her posts, she showed she had such a great sense of humor, lots of love to share and would give you the shirt off her back.

Today I received a phone call and my heart cried.

Melanie, to you and your family, I send my love. It was such a pleasure to meet you.

June will stay in my heart forever.

I think this needs repeating.

Terry it was nice to talk to you today. How are you doing?

Once again my question was already answered.

I did that off and on all day today. I hope you eventually can get a little bit of sleep tonight.

And remember, I had to go back to work and teach and sing for 9 hours after Vicki called me. I am still dealing with what you all worked through all afternoon and evening long. :goodvibes
