Ok, I actually did some shirts for the twins yesterday. I found some darling stencils at Michael's and thought I could use them with the spray paint technique that I did for Katie's party, without having to mess with flour and water, and peeling it all off. Here's the results. Tell me what you think.

The Pooh bear is easier to see, but Leslie wanted both blue and pink for her Tinkerbell shirt. As long as she is happy, right? I'm going to be looking for more of these stencils!!!!!

Glynis - they turned out great :thumbsup2

If you can do it, you should take the kids to see the Lion King. It's an amazing show and I know that you all would just love it! Alan and I went a couple of years ago, and were sad that we hadn't brought the kids with us!

I second that! It's an amazing show.

DH HATES the theatre - but after I took him to WDW in 2003 and he saw the festival of the lion king he came home and bought me a surprise xmas gift... tix to go see the stage show in London

He enjoyed it as much as I did :thumbsup2

Do I smell a DDA Meet in Dec 2007 here in NYC??? Wow, one that I could actually go to????!!!

You know what is funny? (speaking of avoiding crowds) is that we spend almost every day of the kids holiday break doing something in the city & we apply the same principle to NYC as we would to WDW. Get up & out early in the morning. Get alot done by lunch..have a reservation somewhere for lunch, go back to hotel for mid day & then go back again for nightly entertainment. (since we live here we don't go back to a hotel, but we plan everything for early am or later pm) We went to AGP at 9 am (during Christmas break) & there wasn't anyone in the place...by 11am it was mobbed but we had finished shopping...checked our bags & went to our bitty baby show during the height of the midday madness (we were in a comfy seat watching the show) after that we had a 2pm lunch reserved. Done by 3pm & we didn't wait on any lines...
I love the way our WDW training can be applied to the real world... and some people think we are

I think they're the crazy ones :rotfl:

Hi everyone-
its been crazy and i do not have time to catch up --If i missed anything major, could someone please PM me ??? Thanks!!

I got to see Alex today after about a week and a half..i walked in the room, he looked at me and said "hey jen!" I havent heard him talk in so long and it was great to hear him! He had some type of device hooked up to his trach. to allow him to talk.He was talking to my dad and I for about 30 minutes, even joking around. He asked me how college was going and asked us if we saw the tshirts with his name on it. I was SO happy being in there.

He told us that he was even sitting up for 18 minutes--said it was dizzy, but thats to be expected after laying down so long..

People have been asking me for updates so i wanted to post this great one! thanks for all the prayers!

That is such great news about Alex!!!! I have been wondering about him

how is the fundraiser going?

Kate--The tshirts are selling great--All of the firemen are buying at least 2..Its great because they are being sold for 10 dollars and going really quick!

We have a fundraiser this weekend..Alex was supposed to run a triathelon this weekend so we will be there selling shirts and accepting donations.

In the next couple of weeks, we are going to be having a chicken dinner and a motorcycle ride for him-hopefully they will raise alot of money too!
Thanks for asking!

Because of copywrights they will not print any Disney images.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Continued good thought for Alex.

Good Morning DDA'ers!!!

We had a great time last night at Olive Garden. Denise, Julia and I actually closed the restaurant down. We left at 10:40pm and noticed on the way out the sign said closing time as 10pm. I was kind of wandering why there were 5-6 servers hanging out just 3 tables away. Other people were still eating so we weren't the only ones.

YES!!!! We stayed on our diets. They brought the salad out without the dressing and we added our own fat free and I had NO breadsticks. The chicken giardino was really good with the whole wheat pasta. I could have had about 1 cup of grated cheese on top of it but I kindly said no thank you.

Thank you Denise, Julia, Terry and Debi for a wonderful evening. It is nice to be able to talk face to face with my DDA friends.

Lynn

Glynis--I love those shirts! I remember seeing stencils at Michael's, but I wasn't sure what to do with them. I'll be going to look soon.

Denise--the NYC trip sounds fun! My dh would never be happy with a cruise either.

Anne Marie--Good job getting started on your shirts! I still have to get working on mine.

I'm so jealous of yet another meet in January! You guys are going to have such a great time - even if some of you are running a marathon! ;)

Lindsay -- LOVE the new picture in your signature -- can't wait to show DH and the kids when they get home today!

What a line-up, Jo! Sounds scrumptious!

Reminds me that I need to get my ADR's together for our impromptu trip in like a month! The only thing I've scheduled so far is dinner at California Grill on my b-day for during Wishes. This will be the 2nd year in a row that I've been able to see Wishes on my b-day. Don't you think I need to make it a tradition?!?!

Absolutely! This will be the third year that I've celebrated mine Disney-style. Three years ago I was in Castaway Cay, last year I was staying at AKL and this year I'll be in Grand Cayman (weather permitting) on the Magic. I'm beginning to get very spoiled, but also this is the best time for us during the summer because we have to avoid all sports plus summer school. I don't mind waiting until August to vacation when they are these kinds of trips!

Glynis - I want to comment too on how nice your shirts came out.

Lindsay - Your new picture is cute!

Denise, Lynn and Terry - I'm glad you all had a good time. I'm looking forward to the pictures.

Kate - What does Steve think about the DDA following him around on his business trips? We can just plan our meets for wherever he is travelling!

Thanks, Lindsay. And I love your new Hook 'em Horns Mickey picture!
Now this shows how clueless I am about college football. I thought they were saying "I love you."

Opps I thought they would, sorry. Last year I made some shirts on Zazzle using the Disney images I had made. But I never had them printed, I went ahead & ironed them on myself.
