Glynis said:Ok, I actually did some shirts for the twins yesterday. I found some darling stencils at Michael's and thought I could use them with the spray paint technique that I did for Katie's party, without having to mess with flour and water, and peeling it all off. Here's the results. Tell me what you think.

The Pooh bear is easier to see, but Leslie wanted both blue and pink for her Tinkerbell shirt. As long as she is happy, right? I'm going to be looking for more of these stencils!!!!!

its been crazy and i do not have time to catch up --If i missed anything major, could someone please PM me ??? Thanks!!
I got to see Alex today after about a week and a half..i walked in the room, he looked at me and said "hey jen!" I havent heard him talk in so long and it was great to hear him! He had some type of device hooked up to his trach. to allow him to talk.He was talking to my dad and I for about 30 minutes, even joking around. He asked me how college was going and asked us if we saw the tshirts with his name on it. I was SO happy being in there.
He told us that he was even sitting up for 18 minutes--said it was dizzy, but thats to be expected after laying down so long..
People have been asking me for updates so i wanted to post this great one! thanks for all the prayers!

I blame you not one bit for not wanting to go to the mall on Sunday. You dragged your ankle all over DC on Saturday and did very well doing so.Steffy said:PT was surprisingly good. I only have 2 more sessions. My ankle held up really well. I still think it was a good choice for me not to go to the mall on Sunday. I think that saved it.
Thanks for asking!![]()

I left work late and as I pulled the handle to get into my car, the sky opened up.![]()
I left my mirror tucked in. I had opened the window last time to flip it and gotten soaked. Lesson learned. I just used my rear view. There weren't many cars on the road. I turned the corner and heard this crack!!! and part of a tree fell right on top of my car.
I love Miss Blueberry.![]()

She saved my life again. The limb just bounced off the top and onto the road and I rolled right over it. It happened so quick I didn't have time to react at all, didn't have a heart attack or p@@p my pants. Nothing. I just pulled over and couldn't believe I was alive....
One of my staff's daughter led the news tonight. A tree fell on her house. She had just walked in when BOOM. It is resting on her roof. Sheared off her shutters and the framing over her door. Didn't penetrate her roof though. We are both blessed.![]()

I thought Miss Blueberry had no scratches at all, but one of my staff looked really hard and in the light and she could make out the pattern of the branches in the fabric.
and protected me, as always...

legalslave said:I'd be up for another meet in NYC in August - especially since I'm only 75 miles from NYC!!!

Tinkaroo said:Denise - I can vouch for the Marriott Marquis - great hotel. If you're also looking for something between midtown and the TS area, the Michelangelo Hotel is FABULOUS, and the Omni Berkshire Place is quite comfy, too. I was able to get great rates for all of these at a website that has since changed names/looks (I haven't been since 2003). The original site was www.express-res.com, and now it's something like QuikBook. The only hotel I've ever stayed at in NYC that I wouldn't recommend is the Warwick - teeny tiny rooms.
I've also e-mailed a friend of mine to ask where she and her family stayed - they were there Thanksgiving week last year, and stayed in a hotel right on the parade route - they watched it from their window.
Tinkaroo said:We've always done a late breakfast seating for Kona (my favorite for b-fast btw, next to Chef Mickey's). I think they go as late as 11 a.m.! If it's your last day, you could sleep in, take your time checking out, and then head over and fatten up for your return flight home!

Tinkaroo said:Denise - are you guys doing NYC in lieu of the cruise, or do I have that mixed up?
tinker1bell said:Well my sister Debi and I met with Denise, Julia and Lynn and we really had a nice time. I was so happy she was able to come. We met at Olive Garden. Did a lot of talking. My sister Debi is still not 100% up to par so we all left about 9:15. I will post a picture later. Thomas had a good time. Lots of girl talk so he tried not to listen too much!!
We talked so much that we only got one picture on my camera and one on Denise's.![]()
