Ok, I actually did some shirts for the twins yesterday. I found some darling stencils at Michael's and thought I could use them with the spray paint technique that I did for Katie's party, without having to mess with flour and water, and peeling it all off. Here's the results. Tell me what you think.

The Pooh bear is easier to see, but Leslie wanted both blue and pink for her Tinkerbell shirt. As long as she is happy, right? I'm going to be looking for more of these stencils!!!!!

I want those stencils!!!!

Who do you think my first phonecall of the day from work is to? :teeth: And I'm pulling a "Jo trick" and asking for both two and four just in case they do have a four top that they don't want to give me. But don't tell the dining board. They might yell at me. :teeth:

To tell the truth the CM told me she didn't have 2 & gave me a 3.
Then told me to tell them somebody got sick.
Leave it to Disney, go figure.

Hi everyone-
its been crazy and i do not have time to catch up --If i missed anything major, could someone please PM me ??? Thanks!!

I got to see Alex today after about a week and a half..i walked in the room, he looked at me and said "hey jen!" I havent heard him talk in so long and it was great to hear him! He had some type of device hooked up to his trach. to allow him to talk.He was talking to my dad and I for about 30 minutes, even joking around. He asked me how college was going and asked us if we saw the tshirts with his name on it. I was SO happy being in there.

He told us that he was even sitting up for 18 minutes--said it was dizzy, but thats to be expected after laying down so long..

People have been asking me for updates so i wanted to post this great one! thanks for all the prayers!

What great news Jen! Yay Alex. :yay: :yay:

PT was surprisingly good. I only have 2 more sessions. My ankle held up really well. I still think it was a good choice for me not to go to the mall on Sunday. I think that saved it.

Thanks for asking!
I blame you not one bit for not wanting to go to the mall on Sunday. You dragged your ankle all over DC on Saturday and did very well doing so. :thumbsup2

maybe there will be a Duck tour next summer!!!!!!

That sould be soooooo cool!!!! This will be fun to plan. Kate, no need for a party..I don't want to be reminded that I am getting older! :rotfl:

We should go to the top of the empire state building. That is cool. My kids got such a kick out of that last year. It was snowing up there but not on the ground.

Dawn- I am so glad to hear that your brother's surgery went well and that he is doing better. :wizard: for a speedy recovery

We had a little what we call "weather" today.... :umbrella: :umbrella:

I left work late and as I pulled the handle to get into my car, the sky opened up. :umbrella: :umbrella: I left my mirror tucked in. I had opened the window last time to flip it and gotten soaked. Lesson learned. I just used my rear view. There weren't many cars on the road. I turned the corner and heard this crack!!! and part of a tree fell right on top of my car. :earseek:

I love Miss Blueberry.   She saved my life again. The limb just bounced off the top and onto the road and I rolled right over it. It happened so quick I didn't have time to react at all, didn't have a heart attack or p@@p my pants. Nothing. I just pulled over and couldn't believe I was alive....

One of my staff's daughter led the news tonight. A tree fell on her house. She had just walked in when BOOM. It is resting on her roof. Sheared off her shutters and the framing over her door. Didn't penetrate her roof though. We are both blessed.

I'm calling it a night.... :goodvibes

We had that same weather here. I am so glad that you are ok. I am still counting my blessings that I did not go out for my walk 30 minutes later than I did or I would have had one frightening walk through the woods with the nickel sized hail, wind, lightening, thunder and pouring down rain.

Clare -- please clean out your PM box - I tried to answer you but you were full!

Denise --

Na na na na boo boo -- We have ADRs for the night of the princess/pirate party for 5pm at the Liberty Tree. Who's better than me???? :thumbsup2

Yea!!!!!!! I'm so glad you got it tonight. We are going to have a really good time, but I'm not dressing up as a Pirate or a Princess...;)

Just walked in the door from dinner. It was wonderful meeting Terry and her sister Debbi, and seeing Lynn and Julia again. We had a great time and we all stuck to our diets! I got a cute picture of us with PM, and I'll post it later.

Glad to hear you're safe - you and Miss Blueberry! :goodvibes

Thanks Lindsay.  I thought Miss Blueberry had no scratches at all, but one of my staff looked really hard and in the light and she could make out the pattern of the branches in the fabric.

Nothing I'm going to fix. Just proof that my car got hit by a tree.....   and protected me, as always...

Thanks for all the awesome NYC info. Y'all are great. We have not booked anything yet, I just know what day we'll go (for the ticker). I think the Times Square would be best so we are close to stuff and the parade.

Things we want to do:
  • Empire State Bldg
  • Ground Zero
  • See the Christmas lights and store fronts
  • Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island
  • American Girl Store
  • FAO Schwartz and/or Toys R Us
  • Love to take a carriage ride through Central Park
  • Maybe go see the Today show
  • NBC tour and/or Rockettes (John and I saw the touring show)
  • Ice skating at Rockefeller Center
Anything else that's a must do?

I'd be up for another meet in NYC in August - especially since I'm only 75 miles from NYC!!!

Oh behave! I have to be in North Jersey the 19th. August. Close to NYC.

I love NY!!

Denise - I can vouch for the Marriott Marquis - great hotel. If you're also looking for something between midtown and the TS area, the Michelangelo Hotel is FABULOUS, and the Omni Berkshire Place is quite comfy, too. I was able to get great rates for all of these at a website that has since changed names/looks (I haven't been since 2003). The original site was www.express-res.com, and now it's something like QuikBook. The only hotel I've ever stayed at in NYC that I wouldn't recommend is the Warwick - teeny tiny rooms.

I've also e-mailed a friend of mine to ask where she and her family stayed - they were there Thanksgiving week last year, and stayed in a hotel right on the parade route - they watched it from their window.

Thanks, Lindsay. And I love your new Hook 'em Horns Mickey picture!

We've always done a late breakfast seating for Kona (my favorite for b-fast btw, next to Chef Mickey's). I think they go as late as 11 a.m.! If it's your last day, you could sleep in, take your time checking out, and then head over and fatten up for your return flight home!

I have 5 words. Tonga toast and kona coffee. Woo Hoo :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Denise - are you guys doing NYC in lieu of the cruise, or do I have that mixed up?

Yes. There's a huge thread on it on the cruise board. John just really didn't want to cruise on so many levels. I love him too much to pick a trip he is truly uncomfortable with, so we're headed to the Big Apple for Thanksgiving instead! Yippee!!!!!!!!!

Well my sister Debi and I met with Denise, Julia and Lynn and we really had a nice time. I was so happy she was able to come. We met at Olive Garden. Did a lot of talking. My sister Debi is still not 100% up to par so we all left about 9:15. I will post a picture later. Thomas had a good time. Lots of girl talk so he tried not to listen too much!!
We talked so much that we only got one picture on my camera and one on Denise's. :rotfl:

I had a great time too! Didn't Debi say I was "enthusiastic"? I think that was a nice way of saying I talk all the time! ;)

I'll try to get the picture up in a bit.
