Hi Janet,

Miss Blueberry, my cute little blue lifesaver, is just fine. I couldn't believe she had narry a scratch! When I bought her, I was concerned as converibles used to be called "rag tops" and I saw enough tops with holes. The VW salesman assured me that the top was made of seven heavy layers and was strong. But I have to tell you, I was surprised she was THAT strong.

Is there really? Wow - I didn't know that! Might have to check that out one day... although I don't want to go to London for a very long time...

yesterday was so hot it was just yucky, they kept cancelling the trains so I was nearly stranded! Then the one I did catch crawled all the way as the tracks were too hot!

Apparently it's going to get so hot today it could break records for the hottest day in english history... I'm sitting out in my back garden in a bikini... it's 11am and already getting toasty, when the sun comes over in about an hour I may have to go hide in the house next to the fan... that's the problem when it gets hot, we don't have a/c so we just melt

No AC!!!!! Here's to staying cool Clare!!!

When I saw the DC picture of you all round the table I didn't recognise everyone - I worked out who Steffy was based on the fact that she was wearing the same shirt as Terry

How scary, Steffy! Miss Blueberry to the rescue agian. I am so glad everything was OK! Many thoughts for the young woman with the tree on her house. That is unfortunate.

I'm going to get a picture from her mother. The tree is huge! It split in two. We still don't know how much damage there is because they haven't moved the tree.

We're all fine. I just gave my co-worker a DVD of the newscast with her daughter's house and the HUGE tree on it. Gotta love MediaCenter....
