Thanks for the pictures everyone! I can't wait to see the rest from Terri and Elin when they get them up. It was so nice to see all your smiling faces having such a good time together. I am SO going next time around!! I hope that at least some of you got to go home to better temps! Looks like we stuck with the 90s for a few more days which means 85 or so (hopefully not more) in the apartment since we have no A/C.

Luckily, I only have to work really hard lugging things in and out of closests and sorting for our move. I started some packing yesterday and Terra is being a (surprisingly) wonderful help at it. Unfortunately, she is determined that we need to leave NOW! I think it is going to be harder to get her to wait for this move than it will our Disney trip.

Speaking of which, I think I have to cancel October. :sad1: The money dates are just to close together for the move and trip, plus I would be abandoning my sister just after having her give up her babysitter. So, I'm am waiting to see if our Feb trip has to move. Then, we'll probably plan something for December since sis will be on maternity leave then. I'm still holding out hope for Oct and not cancelling yet, but we'll see.

Hope everyone stays cool today!
Tia, I hope it doesn't get too hot in the apartment today. I know that my cousins don't have air conditioning either up in MA and CT. I think 30 years ago it really wasn't needed but it is just as hot there as it is down here.

Good luck on the packing. That is the worst part of a move, in my opinion!

It is definitely great excercise!!! Just during 1- 45 minute practice I think they do atleast 15 - 20 laps in the pool. I am more of a social swimmer and prefer to float around. I can't imagine going 3-4 laps in a row without a break. Swimming during the summers really gets the boys ready for football in the fall. Which is my true passion!!! Lynn
Who would have guessed :lmao: (you know I'm right there with ya ;) )

Yes, it is terrific exercise! Sorry, we are into cross country running in the fall instead of football. We can still be friends, though, can't we? :goodvibes

The practice pool that our team uses in the summer (and for this meet) is a long course (50 meter) outdoor pool. Miles tried one practice, but it was during a cold spell and in the rain. That was enough to convince him to stay at the Y in swim lessons for the summer instead of joining the swim team. We are going to try it again when they move indoors (and to a 25 yard pool) for the fall session. Dd doesn't swim fall session, because it is too much with cross country and synchro (and schoolwork!). Her friends swim modified/varsity with the schools in the fall, so they aren't at practice either.

Not much on the agenda today! We are hanging around the house and will probably watch a movie and then play some games. We might venture out for a snowball later tonight! I am watching my neice, Alyssa for the next 6 weeks so Emma is enjoying having someone other than 2 2year olds to play with. Well that is when they are fighting with each other. They are much more like sisters than cousins as they lived together for the first 5 years of their lives! Have a great day! :sunny:

OMG!!!!!!! SIL A and I made a website for SIL T
www.helptammy.com

WOW was that hard to do with kids running around and calling SIL A every hour I think it was about all the things we wanted to get in it.
Let me know what you think of the job we did. Keep in mind that we have a lot of work yet, but we did this in about 7 hours.
Thank you.

Hi everyone! I heard you were anxious to see some pictures! ;)

Matthew's first week certainly flew by...my mom was here until Wednesday and we've had lots of other visitors too, including one of my very best friends who is in town from Paris! My dad and stepmom are driving in tomorrow.

Alyssa loves her little brother and she requests to hold him several times a day. Kevin had the whole week off, so Monday will be my first day alone with the two kiddos.

I am feeling pretty good. There's a big difference between a labor/delivery that ends with a 4th degree tear and one that does not! :thumbsup2

I miss you all and hopefully I will be able to return to my bantering ways as we continue to get settled in.

Amy :)

First I have to post pictures to thank you for your continued generosity!
I know you've heard it from me a hundred times already but he's so adorable! You look great! I hope Kevin is on the mend and you have an uneventful day today! I'm glad Alyssa likes the doll. She looks like a proud big sis!

I am glad that they are both getting counseling. I hope that it helps them save their marriage. They are continually in my prayers. :grouphug:

Thanks! How's the move stuff going? How's Phil coping? I know you are sooooooo excited to finally be moving "home".

ETA: just read a little further. I'm so sad I won't get to meet you and Terra in October. But I understand tight finances and cancelling. (still sad, though!)

Yes we can still be friends :thumbsup2 As long as you cheer for UGA when they play against BAMA or LSU :thumbsup2 . Just trying to warm up some good rivalry :lmao:

He will enjoy the 25 yard pool more. I know the 50yd pools are very intimidating. All we have here are the 25yd pools. I know alot of swimmers practice year round. The boys have never asked to do that so I have never checked into it. I am glad they are into different sports instead of the same thing all the time.

I didn’t tell you all that my SIL T(Tammy) only made it to San Francisco on Friday afternoon because of some complications from flying and saying goodbye to her daughter. She has been in the hospital w/ a fever for over 34 hours now. I don’t know all the details (because I am low on the totem pole) but all of the family has driven down from Redding (SIL A is flying in now and her DH and kids will be driving up from Vegas in the morning) to be with her. The Doc will not let her be transported to Redding (3 ½ + hrs north) because he feels she will pass on the way. I swear she is dying of a broken heart right now.

I may not be around for a bit, but I will try to post updates when I can. If you don’t mind will you please keep her in your prayers. Thank you all so very much. Thank you for looking at our web page. SIL A and I are going to continue to work on it when we can because we will not stop praying for her to see her baby before she passes.

Thank you again your support has kept me from losing it.

Thank you,
~Paula
Tammy and her family remain in my prayers. I hope you'll be on with an encouraging update soon and Tammy will soon be with her family :grouphug:

Off to lunch with my best friend & to buy something to wear out to dinner in Atlanta for our anniversary trip (going out to dinner with a good friend from high school & her hubby that we haven't seen since my 15 year reunion & that's been 6 years ago now). & I have to buy something new because nothing fits....... (thanks Weight Watchers).
Congratulations Melanie! I know you must feel so good!

Kate -- thanks for the kind words. I am stressing way too much over Jessie. I just feel so bad for her and want to make sure I give her the best chance at an outside life with the healing of her leg. Every time I lock her in that crate and she starts meowing I flash back to pushing the garage door button. It's just in my nature to agonize over these things, even though our Pastor tell us to lay our trust in God.
