Oh before I forget - I know I missed some of you - but have a fantastic weekend in DC! Take lots of pictures and make sure we get some trip reports!

Is anyone taking a PM on the meet?

There are a couple of pals in DC this week-end. Brooksie and Tommy will be there.

I was like she tells me she will see me and than she isn't going, :confused3 I reread it and realized I can't read. Thanks for the info and I will see you around 9am tomorrow.

Ok, I'm supposed to be working on putting our budget together. While we were in Green Bay today for Chuck's specialist appointment (that is a thread for later), we stopped to look at travel trailers. We have been talking about upgrading our pop-up to a regular travel trailer since Chuck has been having his joint issues. We looked online last night at some Jayco ones and picked one that we liked. We stopped at a big dealership in Green Bay and didn't really like them as well as the Jayco we saw online. We stopped at our local Jayco dealer in Iron Mountain when we got home. They have the exact one that we were thinking about and it has all the bells and whistles. It is a 2006 model so is clearanced price (I never quite understand that but I guess they have to make room for the 2007's which will be out in the next month or so). It is reduced by $7000. They think that our pop-up is probably worth $3000. We can get financing and the interest is tax deductible because it has a bathroom, bedroom & kitchen.

Here it is. We would get the 26' version. That is all we need. It has two bunk beds in the back for the girls if they come (or our grandbabies in 5-10 years  if we are so lucky).

Here is the floor plan.

Now, I have to get off the DDA and put together the info to show Chuck that we can afford this. I know that it will cut into my Disney trips, but my new plan is to travel around the country and meet my DDA friends!!!! Chuck says that he would do that with me in this (& after we get a new vehicle to pull it because our suburban isn't reliable). We pay off both our vehicles within the year so next summer we could afford another vehicle payment!!!! So I could be knocking on DDA doors as early as next summer!!! :woohoo:

This is my post from a couple of days ago with the details. It is beautiful. I plan to have many happy travels in it.

Hi everyone! TGIF!! I hope you all had a great day! I only had about 5 pages to catch up on today (I cheated, though--I checked in on my mom's computer when I went to her house for lunch! ).

Elin--congratulations on your weight loss!! You look terrific! I have to tell you, DH & I just lost some weight, too, and the first thing I bought was new underwear! :rotfl2: So, I know where you're coming from!

Kristine--way to go!! The 10 pound mark--that's great!!

rosiejo--I hope you get to spend tons of time with your husband! It's cool that you celebrate the anniversary of the first day you met. DH & I always go out to celebrate the anniversary of our first date (8 years ago this August).

triplefigs--do you like your treadmill? I am debating seriously about getting one! I think I would use it more if it's in the house, than I would by joining a gym and using theirs. :confused3

I hope everyone has a fun and safe trip to the meets this weekend--and I am so excited that there are some PMs going! My PM should arrive tomorrow or Monday at the latest! :cool1:

Have a great Friday evening!

Let's hope he arrives tomorrow so you and he can sit by the computer and wait for news from the Meets! :rotfl:

Also, would you mind sharing your first name? We all pretty much call one another by our names and I feel funny not knowing what to call you! Thanks!

The floorplan looks different than the pics. Does yours have a shower/sink in with the queen bed or at the other end of the trailer? It gorgeous. You are going to LOVE it! My brother and I always loved the bunk beds.

Thanks. It was a lot of fun! Katie and her 8 closest friends invaded my house! First of all, I had bought them all canvas tote bags, and with flour and water paste I freehanded an ice cream cone on the front. I did that last night, and when the girls got here today, I gave them some fabric spray paint, and let them get artistic. Once the paint dried they peeled off the paste and had a darling bag to take home.

We played a rousing game of Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream Cone, a version of Hot Potato (using a stuffed ice cream cone), and had an ice cream eating contest. Then they got to make their own ice cream sundaes. Most of them built these wonderful concoctions, but when it came right down to it, their eyes were bigger than their stomachs! I don't think anyone finished their bowl of ice cream. But they had fun trying. After Katie opened her presents, I handed out the loot to put in their bags. I had gone to the dollar store and bought ice cream scoops for them all, Baskin Robbins ice cream flavored hard candies, a gummy "make your own ice cream cone" kit, ice cream stickers, crazy straws, ice cream bubbles, ice cream play dough and to top it off I bought salt water taffy in ice cream flavors and gave them each a handful of that.

They were very pleased with it all, and I didn't spend a fortune! Alan was pleased about that! I'll try to get some pictures uploaded tonight!

Sounds like everyone had a great time, Glynis! That is something I miss... little kid birthday parties.

:bday: Katie!

I promise to take care of MTM when he gets here. I am afraid he won't have as many wondrous adventures here with me though. He has to go teach music composition almost every day and then come home and work on those compositions at the computer every night. I hope he doesn't get too bored.

He does get to go back to DC for the National Yamaha Music Camp and concert at the end of the month and to New York City at the beginning of August, so I hope he can hold out that long!

I seem to have had quite a slew of P3s today! I am off here for a while and will hopefully check in later on tonight. See you all later!

Glynis, so glad Katie's party was a huge success today! It sounds like it was a lot of fun.
