Have you seen POTCMC yet? It's definitely much scarier. NO WAY will I be letting Christopher watch this one for many years. I don't think he'll have to be 13, but he'll have to be much older than he is now.

ETA: I'm not saying anyone with a child under 13 shouldn't let their kids see it, I'm just saying it's not right for my child .

No, we haven't seen it yet. I wasn't planning on allowing Miles to see it until after I had seen it and after it is available on DVD (if I think it's ok after I've seen it). Thanks for the warning!

Ok, all you creative types. I need birthday party help! Katie's birthday is tomorrow, but her actual party will not be until the 14th. She has decided to have an ice cream social. I'm going to put a banner up on our front door that says Katie's 9 Year "Old Stone Creamery" and inside will be the party. We are going to have an ice cream eating contest, decorate cupcakes baked in ice cream cones, play Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream, and Hot Potato (with a small stuffed ice cream cone). I'm also going to have some kind of craft for them. I'm thinking of having them decorate aprons or T-shirts with an ice cream pattern or something along those lines.

Anyway, on the invitations it will say "Cookie Dough Katie is inviting you to an Ice Cream Social." All the pertinent info will be given and the envelopes will be addressed to each girl. I want to come up with an ice cream name for each girl, but am stumped on a few. Here's where I need your help: I need names of ice cream to go along with the following names:

Abby
Abrianna
Emily
Jessica

The others will be things like Rocky Road Rebecca, Mint Chip Myra, Cookies and Cream Carmen, etc.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone-
I ended up finally going to the hospital to see Alex today--He looked so good!! he was completely awake and even had baseball turned on the tv in his room. When we walked in, he took our hands right away. Dad said "i brought jen the other day and you were sleeping"--he mouthed "sorry"--I went over to hold his hand and he smiled an ACTUAL SMILE! His swelling is going down and he seems to be improving every time i see him. I overheard a relative saying that they may try to remove the tube from his trachea in the next week or so..WHen that happens, he will be able to talk to communicate! I cannot wait to see this!

Thanks so much for the prayers, thoughts, and PMs about Alex..He is a fighter and is continuing to amaze us every day!

Hi Gang.

I found a computer terminal in the waiting room here in the mommy-baby unit. Haven't had a chance to really read everything but this one kind of stood out. The Doctor kept making references to the next one last night as well. Not going to happen.

Anyway, everybody is doing great. It looks like we will all be leaving the hospital by midnight tonight. Amy, Alyssa, Matthew and I thank you for all the good wishes.

I'm sure Amy will update later. And of course there are lots of pictures we will send along. Talk again soon.
