Poor Bethie!!! That is so painful! The same thing happened to Kate when she was about the same age. Alan had been swinging her by the arms, and one of her elbows popped out. It waas awful! We didn't know what was wrong with her, and I was 8 and a half months preggo with Jacob at the time. Alan ended up taking her to the ER while I stayed home to let the carpet cleaning guy in to our house. Side note: I ended up slipping on some carpet cleaning solution and falling on my rear end. Went into labor that night and Jacob was born the next day, 3 weeks early.

ETA: Your whole family will be in my prayers for the next little while. I'm so sorry that you guys have to go through this!

so Jacob wanted to be a part of it all? Ok Jacob, mommy and daddy enough for you as well, they love you all.

He is just a kid who want a little attention. :)

thankyou for the prayers.

Good Morning DDA,

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: All around

Things have been hectic here, I've tried to catch up but haven't done a very good job. We've had to have two of our vehicles worked on since we've been back and my DH was in the emergency room until late last night. He's been diagnosed with gout and his foot is really giving him a fit right now. I think it has a lot to do with all the alcohol he consumed on our trip.

Here's a picture of us with the DGS, he had a matching shirt on earlier in the day but it didn't make it all day, too many spills. Another plus to wearing matching shirts is how much easier it is to spot everyone, especially the bright colored ones. The two younger couples were in line for the backlot tour and were picked to be the actors, they're sure they were picked because of their bright yellow shirts, it made them stand out in the crowd.

There was a large group of people at our hotel with shirts one day, and I'm sure the design was one of Kate's. It was the Walt Disney World one with all the characters in the letters. The frame on my picture here is also one of Kate's.

Gotta run, I have a few errands ot do before heading out to work.

Have a great day,
Debbie
:wizard: for DH. And I do totally agree about the shirts. Even before this thread I would dress all my boys in matching outfits if we were going somewhere like the park or beach. It made it easier to find them and keep track of them all. :thumbsup2 (My sister makes fun of me but she only has 1 to keep track of. ) Now WDW and DL are even more busier than a park so I definitely like to have their shirts match. :thumbsup2

My friend's nephew went 40 days from diagnose to death. He just turned 30. What a year......

I am so sorry it read this. WOW cancer is a wild one, never two the same even if they fit into the same "category".
Thank you for the :grouphug:.

Good morning all. I have been reading along but since I got back from vacation I just feel out of sorts. It seems like I get on here and get distracted way to easily with something else and then I come back and am lost. :confused3 I think it is just this feeling that I am just not caught up here or in my house and then we are in the middle of making a big change in our lives.

While on vacation in Michigan, we made the decision to move out there. This has been on the table for a few years but after being there recently, I know this is where I want to be. I have felt for a long time that I am not home. I have lived in Maryland all my life and 90% of my family is here but I don't feel like this is the place for Eric, the girls and I. Our short term goal is 1 year and the long term is 2 years. I really like the area and the housing market is more within our reach as far as owning a little larger house. Eric has been researching his career field out there and it seems to be an area where he shouldn't have a problem finding something So we have been doing a lot of research on the job and housing market out there. My cousin lives in Kalamazoo and they have this program "The Kalamazoo Promise" which entitles kids graduating from the school system to a free/reduced college education to any MI state college/univ, so this is a major draw for us. If we can get there by the time Emma enters 3rd grade tuition would be covered 95% and Molly enrolled by Kindergarten would be covered 100%. Having family there is a big plus as Eric can stay with them when he is job hunting/interviewing. Not to mention that they can help point us in the right direction to available jobs and nice areas to set down some roots.

Sorry for the rambling! Just know that I am around and reading.
That sounds like a great program for families. Sounds like you guys have thought this out and that it will be a good move. :wizard: that your DH finds a good job and you guys find the right home to settle down in. :goodvibes

I stand corrected.

Sorry

No worries at all, I was just letting you all know that we have many armed forces even with in the Air Force alone. It is rather crazy at times trying to remember who is who and who has what.
I am a part timer for the military (that's a good way to put it).

We are staying in that cheesy area!!! Only because I think it's what the kids will enjoy the most!

They do have some new Ferris Wheel that the lady at the hotel was telling me about, because our package comes with tickets for it. She said it was neat to ride because you got a really good view of everything.

It is a bit cheesy, but that is part of what the Falls is all about. You will have a terrific time! I've never really looked at the hotels, since Mom and Dad are only minutes away. I'm hoping that they decide not to go with the passport requirement to get into/out of Canada. I can't see spending almost $500 for our family to get passports. Unfortunately, I don't foresee an opportunity to get any other use out of them.

Beth

Um which one :teeth: Yes I have added another for Jan. If all goes well I will be taking Garrett to Disney to celebrate his 13th birthday :Pinkbounc I have booked a room at PC & have made all our adr's. Now I am just hoping that decent airfare prices come out, that will be the deciding factor. We will be there Jan 1st - 5th, his birthday is on the 3rd. Riley is not liking this to well, but I told him that I will be doing the same for him. Only thing is, Rileys birthday is in August, hot, hot, hot! But our birthdays are only 3 days apart so we will celebrate our birthdays together on that trip :thumbsup2

ETA: Ok I feel silly now, was you talking about the tag from the tag fairy

Tammi67 said:
Janet - Is that a new tag, or have I just not been paying attention?

I know I will miss a lot of people if I try and post individually so here's some hugs :grouphug: for everybody.

I've had a pretty crappy start to my vacation and without going into many details I need some major pixie dust this way so that we can go to Washington next week. It's totally my own idiocy but I would sure appreciate it thanks.

Good morning everyone! :wave2:

Would I sound redundant if I said things were crazy around here?!! As I was telling Jennifer yesterday, at this point, I am so anxious for Matthew to get here, because there's no way I'm going to get all I want to do done before he does (she claimed that made sense, but I'm doubting my sanity at this point! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Last night we went to Babies-R-Us and bought our double stroller. Thank you so much for your generosity! We will think of you all, every time we open and close that monstrosity! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I have no idea where our camera cords or card reader are, but my sister was kind enough to email me a few pictures from the last day of swimming lessons. Alyssa actually looks a little content, though there was still a lot of whining and crying going on. Do you like where she stuck her duck?!! :teeth:

We have a new refrigerator being delivered today and my mom is arriving tonight. I have several DDA phone numbers plugged into my cell phone, but no fighting over who gets to post Matthew's arrival first! :goodvibes

I hope you all have a great weekend! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Amy :)

HI!! You look fabulous!!!

Theresa - I really hope you make it to DC

Robyn - I know how hard it is to make a decision to move - Steve and I want to - we just can't seem to pull the trigger

Amy - Just think tomorrow you will have your new little miracle - here's wishing you a short and easy labor!!!!!
We keep talking about moving back to the midwest as well. It is so hard to move and uproot with kids and yet there are so many pros. We would be near family, the cost of living is less, we would actually get 4 seasons again(I really miss the snow and the crisp fall instead of all the RAIN)and of course we would be closer to WDW. But, the boys like going to the beach, the waterfalls for hiking, and the mountains. And we are close to DL. It's so hard to decide. :confused3 DH wants us to make a decision by next year so I guess until than we'll be back and forth.

Thank you all for the good wishes

Nick's test is Monday - I am not sure when I will hear results - I hope by Tuesday - I don't think I will go to DC until I have results - and if the results aren't great then I am probably going to stay home - Steve says I am going unless he needs immediate treatment - I am not sure I will be able to leave him right away if the news isn't good - I guess I will have to wait and see!
:grouphug: :wizard: We'll keep you all in our prayers this week-end and Monday.

Got to make sure that new people that post don't get ignored. I don't want to be considered a bad clique! I realize that we are something of a clique but we welcome other people and are more than happy to explain about our jokes when people ask or people join and we realize they may not know what we are talking about. That is why I love this place! I always like seeing new people join and become part of the group! You all are so friendly to everyone!

I feel the same way. There's room in the DDA for all the people who want to be here!

Thanks Dawn.

I called yesterday and they had taken and Electrocardiogram and they also took some blood from her port to see if the infection might be in a heart valve or in the port. Her fever had broken the night befor and she was feeling much better.

I will be calling her soon to see if she has heard back from the doctors on what they did yesterday.
:wizard: I hope they get back to her soon.

That's the truth! He's an attention seeker and has been from day one! It's only gotten worse since he's realized that the girls outnumber him.

Poor little guy! I try to explain to him that he's got it better than they do, since he'll never have to have hand me down clothes or toys! He really makes out like a bandit!

As for the prayers, anytime, honey, anytime!

The computer is back up, but I don't know what is wrong with it. I also have to go now to take the kids to swimming lessons, and orthodontist appointment, etc. I have to get to the store, since we have been gone and there is no food in the house.

I started to catch up.

:Pinkbounc I just made ressies for us and my parents to go to Niagara Falls for 2 nights the first week of August. I got a family suite w/ 2 bedrooms. My kids are going to love the falls. I have been showing Nicholas pictures from online and he thinks it is so cool. I think we will also go to Marineland one day while we are up there. I used to love Seaworld when I was little, but since the one in OH is gone, I don't know if we will ever get there. Thanks for your help on this Chanon!
Sounds fun. :Pinkbounc
