hey all -

sorry I haven't been around - things here have been CRAZY!!!

Nick has actually been doing pretty well - but I just have to find out what is going on with his heart - then I will feel so much better!!!!

I hit my knee the other day (yes - the bad one) and now it is bruised and swollen - it really hurts and I have been limping around all week!! I think I might have to go see the doctor again - the kneecap is moving more than it should be and is making sounds it shouldn't make! Hopefully when the swelling and bruising go down it will feel better!!!

Every year on the 4th - our group of friends participates in the local 4th of July parade - usually we just slap some decorations on the float and go - this year - I decided to do a little more and found these for the float - unfortunately it rained - but we still had a great time!!

Well it’s been a rather wild and crazy few days.

First every time I get on to read or post….. either Vicki or Christi is pm’ing me. So if you are looking for a reply to a post, I would love to, but I can’t get Vicki or Christi to stop talking to me via pm. (just kidding, I love the pm’s ladies)



So the other day Bethie and Ellie were playing and Bethie dislocated her elbow. We didn’t know it at the time because she didn’t tell us where it hurt. Yes I know she is only 2 ¾ , but she does talk well. We took her to the ER after not being able to figure out why she was still crying. They x-rayed her arm and then the Dr. messed with it and POP, it went back into place, the Dr handed her a pencil and she was back to normal. We gave her motrin later that day for the light pain, but that was it. I guess it is very common in kids under 4 to have this happen. It’s called nursemaid’s elbow.



Tonight we get a call that my SIL is coming out from MI for her last few months of life. The Dr have told her in the past she has between 2 weeks and 2 years to live. Well as of today they are giving her no more than a few months. The cancer has just taken off like a rocket and is all over her now. We are making plans to visit my MIL a lot these next few months because that is where my SIL will be staying. This news totally sucks, but we knew it was coming, it is just a little to fast for everyone. Then again learning someone is going to die soon is always to fast.



SO here is my warning to you, if I drop off the face of the DDA for a while do not worry I am likely up at my MIL’s and will contact one of you to let you know why I cam gone. I will do my best to post that I am leaving, but again I don’t want to get in trouble like Glynis did, so this is my warning of short notice leaving.



Now back to our regularly scheduled reading and posting.

Mom is back in the hospital. Its a bacterial infection, they say its either from her port or the lining of her heart.

BTW: I got a new camera - it has a 10x zoom!! That was really important to me and I love it!!! It is a Kodak - I think a z650?!? I have always had Kodak easy shares and I LOVE them!!!

We ended the day with Cars and dinner at Red Robin -

Nick doesn't like fireworks and it was cloudy so we headed home to bed!

We went both our trips and had waterside tables. The boys loved it they would wave to the boats as they came by and they wore their pirate hats (paper w/ kids menu printed on back) the entire meal. They loved the sourdough rolls they had at the table and their dessert was a Mickey Jello. Of course they have changed it with the ride so when I get back I'll let you know if it's still good for the kids.

As long as they don't get rid of the Monte Cristo, I'll be fine with any other changes.

Hi, gang!

Long time, no talk - I have missed everyone, but my life is still pretty crazy right now. I do have some good news though - I'm about half way through my summer from heck, I finally got up my pics from our travels with Andy on the PM thread...and take a look at my tickers below! DH didn't bat an eye when I told him late last Sunday that I wanted to book us a quick trip w/ free dining for my b-day, and then just smiled when I said "oh, and btw, I've got a villa booked for us in Dec.!" He has yet to outright admit it, but he misses WDW as much as I do!!!

How is everyone? I've actually had the chance to take a bit of a breather this weekend, although I do have to work tomorrow. DH is in Marianna, FL for a family reunion that wasn't until late today, so thus, I couldn't go. ( ) I spent some time doing stuff around the house, dreaming of my Disney trips, hanging out with friends, and then I also went and saw Cars this afternoon. I can't quite decide what I thought of it - the animation was downright amazing, but I just didn't find it nearly as clever and endearing as the majority of the other Pixar fimls.

I'll try to go back a few pages, but there is no way I can go all the way back to catch up - I don't even remember where I left off! Know that I've been thinking of all of you, and hope to be around a bit more often!

Thank you for helping figure out where my staples went. I will be talking with Theresa about Andy and his four fingure discount problem.

I'm off to bed too. I have given up taking Tylenol PM. I made a conscious decision to do so while on vacation and I haven't taken one since. I was relying on them every night to get to sleep. I have found that I am not nearly as tired in the morning, don't require daily naps and I am ready for bed by 11 PM without them. That is one step towards a lifestyle change. I have also been bringing the kids to the pool everyday and challenging them to swim races. It is good for all of us. So I've increased my excercise and I'm having fun. Now if I could just change my diet and get more exercise I'd be on the path to a healthy lifestyle, but for now I'm happy with my baby steps.

I have a new update on the firemen..and this is a better update! I just checked his carepage (where a family member puts updates everyday) and they said today he seemed to be VERY responsive! He opened up his eyes and tried to look at people when they walked in. He was squeezing hands harder..He even attempted to pucker up his lips to kiss people. He is not considered out of the woods yet, of course-He received a pint of blood today but his hemoglobin level is okay.
This is some of the best news that we have gotten so far and we are just hoping and praying the news coninues to get better...I will be going to the hospital tomorrow or tuesday and will let you guys know how that goes, but wnated to share some "better" news for a change!

So last night and tonight there were fireworks all around in various towns like at Jennifer's house. My next door neighbor also set some off. He will probably set some off every night between now and the fourth.

Well tonight was a fireworks war. My next door neighbor and the neighbor across the street were setting off fireworks for about two hours. No synchronized music or anything fantastic but still fun. Can you tell I am spoiled by Disney. The funny this is you can't by ground to air fireworks in Pennsylvania but it doesn't seem to stop anyone around here.

Poor Bethie!!! That is so painful! The same thing happened to Kate when she was about the same age. Alan had been swinging her by the arms, and one of her elbows popped out. It waas awful! We didn't know what was wrong with her, and I was 8 and a half months preggo with Jacob at the time. Alan ended up taking her to the ER while I stayed home to let the carpet cleaning guy in to our house. Side note: I ended up slipping on some carpet cleaning solution and falling on my rear end. Went into labor that night and Jacob was born the next day, 3 weeks early.

ETA: Your whole family will be in my prayers for the next little while. I'm so sorry that you guys have to go through this!
