Sorry I've beem MIA everyone. We had another storm and were without power for two days! We slept at my parent's house last night because they have a generator so at least we got to have a ceiling fan.
The power just came on about an hour ago, but now there's another problem. My parents have a huge fence with 6 dogs in it. Well, my dad noticed today that the gate was wide open and the dogs were nowhere to be found. We've called and whistled and went looking. One is the mama dog (Minnie) and 5 of her babies. They're two years old.
Two of the puppies came back, but we're still missing four. Please think good thoughts that they come back safely!!
Glad y'all are ok. What part of Louisiana are you in? I am in New Orleans this week on business. It was raining when we walked out of dinner tonight, but that was about it.
I know the storms were bad in Austin tonight, so I guess that's what you'll get tomorrow morning. Stay safe!

OMG!! Cheri was telling me that her yard was a lake. Looks like yours was too. That really looked like some serious weather! I'm glad you are okay and didn't have a tornado. I'm terrified of them too. So terrified in fact that I was sitting online tracking the storm while it was over LA just to see how bad it would be when it reached here. We got lucky and everything broke up before it even reached here but I was really worried about all of you in LA.
I know! I was just sitting and my computer and my sister calls (she works for the sheriff's office) and said a tornado was spotted and headed our way. I almost had a panic attack, seriously. Tornados are SO scary and unpredictable. I had everyone open all of the windows while I sat in the hallway. Believe me, I know what to do if one's coming!!

oh yeah girl, I was OUT in it alright. Riding on the interstate with golf ball sized hail is NO picnic! I've seriously NEVER been in anything that bad.
I was worried for my parents because they left my house to go back to LaPlace just as 2 tornados were spotted--one in South Tangi, and one they said was between Tangipahoa and St. Tammany
I actually haven't been able to check my car yet. It was storming so much last night, and this morning. If the rain stays away long enough for my car to dry I will be able to run outside and check. I guess a beat up bug shield is not too bad if that's all she got. Glad y'all are okay!

We looked at Darren's truck yesterday and it is dinged up really bad. We couldn't tell while it was wet, but it did get alot of damage.
We filed a claim on the insurance, so hopefully it can get fixed soon. I'll try taking a picture.

Hi, Hillies no, the northern thought of "who the heck showed up at your wedding in jeans came to my head only." There is always the one person who sticks out at a wedding. I think it is great, sure would save me from having a dress I will never wear again in the back of my closet. I have two dresses from weddings we attended last summer.

Nothing too bad after that first scare. A pretty bad lightning/thunderstorm during the early morning, which resulted in power failure
but no damage.
we get realllly bad weather here alll the time in the spring and alot of that is tornados
it first hit us here and then moved your way , I think we have had tornados every weekend for the last 3 wks
my sister is scared of them also she say that tornado is a bad word so she says "the T word"
LOL about your sister. That's like me. The whole time I was saying, "I want to move! I'd rather blizzards!!!!!!"
I'm sorry you get so many tornados. They're horrible.
