Hey girl!! Glad everything worked out for you, sorry I've been MIA, have my sister in town and been busy with ma's birthday stuff. Glad you're here a day early!! We should be in MK the evening of the first, we're part of a birthday party that is working on doing all 4 parks in one day!! YIKES!! LOL So you can shoot me a text or something later that evening, and we'll let you know where we're at. It does sound awesome to be there on the 40th anniversary of the park. I can't believe it's been that long!! My first trip was 1979....showing my age a little bit HAHA but it was fun then, and fun now!! Anyways, I'm sure you'll sleep good tonight!! Oh, and I slept like a log. DH got up, went to work, and two dogs jumped up in bed with me and I didn't stir, hahaha. Oh it was lovely.

It's been super hot here, my family had a hard time at Universal on Monday, the lines weren't too bad, the worst was in WWHP of course, even then Dragon Challenge was 5 minutes, and FJ was only 30 mins. But there was a lot of people around!!

Noooo worries, I completely understand! Yep, down to one more day now! Thank goodness. Crazy flights indeed, but we made it through!

Wow... I made it!

After a relatively easy planning process, (though still much harder than I'm used to, having only ever gone with two or three people and now going with 6!) and a large snag near the end, I am officially ready to go to Walt Disney World.



One more sleep!

I am packed, re-packed, and re-packed again. My checklists are all checked. The hardest part now is that DH is at work all day and is working with the army reserves tonight, and we live so far from town that he's just going to his mother's in between. I'm going to be alone all day! How to keep sane!? I'll probably make a ton of posts today. And clean my house again. And maybe teach the dogs a new trick. And read a book. And watch a movie...

It's a beautiful sunny day. It's like Cape Breton is saying "Wait, don't go! We have sun too!" Alas, Cape Breton, you also only have 20 degrees and no Disney World. We shall meet again in 10 days, but I will enjoy this last one until then.

Getting silly now. Moving on to the last day for my itinerary!

"Day 8" (But really 9 with the new day!)

Saturday, October 1

Early to rise and straight to Epcot! We'll do anything that has yet to be done in our stolen Epcot evenings! Most likely, we'll do Soarin' again too
We will spend the whole day doing the Food and Wine festival too! I can't wait to try some yummy treats, especially the German apple strudel mit Werthers caramel sauce... mmmmmmm

WDWMagic has released the plans for the 40th anniversary at Magic Kingdom, and there's not a whole lot I want to do.

* A special 40th Anniversary presentation will be held on the Castle Stage at 10am.
* Wishes with a special finale will be held at 9pm.
* 40th Anniversary cupcakes will be available on the Main Street Bakery, along with a whole range of special 40th merchandise.
* Special Artist Appearances

So I think we'll just go to Epcot for the day until the evening, then monorail it to MK for a cupcake and the special Wishes.

MK is open until 12 this night, so even though we have to be up ridiculously early the next morning, I'm going to try to stay out as late as possible and do everything in the MK again!

Then back to Pop Century to throw everything in a suitcase and get to sleep.

"Day 9" (but the new 10 )

October 2

Plane leaves at 8am from Orlando which means that we will most likely need to be waiting for the ME bus at 5am. Which means we'll have to get up no later than 4:30! Gross.

We'll get our bus and get to the airport.

Flight leaves Orlando at 8:00 on the dot and lands in Toronto at 10:39. Leaves Toronto at 1:15 and lands in Halifax at 4:11 (crossing a time zone). Leaves Halifax at 5:45 and arrives in Sydney at 6:37. Phew, what a day.

We will then drive to MIL's house, pick up our truck, and head home. And probably go straight to sleep!

Hi Wendy...I have been following along w/ all the drama..seriously I would have been *$%#* in my pants I think w/ all that...so THANKFUL everything will be ok now and you even get an extra day out of it! maybe do some outlet shopping or something like that on the non Disney day upfront...wonder what it would cost to rent a car for a day and just drive into Disney yourself...i know you can return it on property near the Swolphin...a DIS friend of mine did that once...

I am so incredibly excited and jealous for you - all at the same time That's a very yucky early rise on your last day. Darn Canadian flights *shakes the fist* That apple strudel looks SO good. Ergh. I can't wait for my next trip. Bring back some Florida sunshine because the weather is only going downhill from here.
