I am finally all caught up. I had left off just after your meet up with the family, Liz and Carissa at AK.
All I can say is "WOW"! What an accomplishment!!! Thank you so much for bringing us along in your journey and inspiring us all. I thoroughly enjoyed every single post about the entire race. Really felt like we were re-living it along with you. I also watched that awesome marathon recap video you posted...that was great.
Your recap at the end was so moving. So proud of you Jenny!!! You are in a very small and elite group of people who not just rise to the challenge of running 26.2 miles (or 27

) on marathon day, but like you say, also choose to go out each and every training day without the crowds, characters, race day excitement, and metal waiting at the end, and train for it. Way to go!
And I would also bet that you were perhaps the only people who ran a marathon that day and shortly thereafter chose to put herself on a surrey bike!

Thank goodness your DH picked up the slack there! (That is too funny about him not wanting to push at first!

) My Dh didn't even mention anything at all about the difficulty of pedalling those things, even though I am pretty sure I wasn't a big contributor in the pedalling department. I am sure that was another example of that manly stiff upper lip.

I actually had no idea that those things are apparently difficult to pedal until I heard about it after the trip...I certainly didn't hear that from Chris.
Love all the photos of your family with your medals, and love all the individual photos framed in your home.
I also love that 1st photo of you and your DH on the bridge overlooking France. While I am just like you in not liking a lot of "cheesy" couple photos, I actually quite like the second hugging one as well, and don't think it is "cheesy" at all. I also really like just the solo one of you. Definitely a great little catch by stopping for the photopass photographer that night!
Looking forward to hearing all about the rest of your trip.
