It's FRIDAY!! Let the weekend begin!!

Vegas was so much fun! I can't believe how much money people are willing to give away to the "house". I played slots (didn't do so good), played craps (did pretty good), played roulette (did pretty good there too). We walked and walked and walked some more. I solved a case at MGM CSI Experience, watched a new TV show that CBS is considering, saw Cirque du Solie Zumanity (OMG soooo risque!!), watched the fountains... lots of stuff in a few days!!

But I have to say, I'm so glad to be home! DH was waiting at the bottom of the steps for me on the way to baggage, and I was so happy to see him!! Now to get over the time change, and get my hiney in to work on time tomorrow!

My list for today:

Caffeinate- this repeats everyday!!

Good morning!! It's FRIDAY!! 20 working days (counting today) until Summer Vacation!

Deb--welcome home!

For those of you who saw my post yesterday, here's an update. At about 11 last night, my mom called and said that my brother had let them know they were taking SIL back for a C-section (at 24 weeks). She actually delivered the baby (no section). My SIL is doing well. My brother is the only one who has seen the baby--and they'll only let parents and grandparents (maybe I'll pass for "mom"). My new precious niece (whose name is Blythe) is living it up in the NICU right now. My parents stayed til 2:00 this morning, and no news had come in from the NICU. The nurse said "No news, in this case, is DEFINITELY good news." They are by no means out of the woods, but she is fighting along!!

Now, after all of that, here's my list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Wipe down kitchen/dining
4. Work--DH is keeping DS again, since we have testing
5. Come home--probably a little after lunch
6. Either go to hospital. . .OR
7. Walk
8. Go to grocery store
9. Work on AK swap
10. Go to sleep early--late night last night wore me out!

crash kinda early since I have both boys tomorrow. Tom has snowmobile constuction classes. and E has his first game. Which affter last nights practice I'm not looking forward to. Kid pitch is alread going about 70 mph and he couldn't quite duck fast enough so instead of the neck caught him in the head. thank god for helmets (and it's his own so I know the condition)

Holly think about how proud you're mom will be of you for doing the brunch. I'm doing it all at my house just for Tom's gram who will be 96 this year. My mom will be in Boston with Nana not that nana knows who she is or why she's there but I'm glad and sad at the same time. So I'll be hosting for Grammie, her daughter (who is our savior to have her lving with Gram) my dad and the boys and Tom.

hang in there my friend you're doing the best you can and you Mom is looking down smiling seeing all the proof of the wonderful daughter she raised!

Thank you Christy. My heart is breaking this week. It was one year ago this week that it all started. I took her to the hospital on mothers day. I know that it's life and everyone has to go sometime but it still hurts. Real bad.

Blythe sounds like a strong little fighter - hoping all continues to go well!

Hopefully, a "non-crazy" day at the census, then (at least start) major catch-up around the house. Need to make a "first year in the US" fill-in scrapbook (sort of like one of the monthly baby books we've all done) for a party on Sunday. DD had a problem at school yesterday with a bully (boy) and I hope it will get swiftly resolved. She handled it well, despite being physically and verbally attacked. Major sigh..... Will it EVER end?

I have no idea why, but Blythe strikes me as such a strong Southern name. That girl who can defend her plantation, plow the field, birth them babies and then tenderly tuck in her children at night. Oh and make the best cornbread this side of the Mason-Dixon line. I think I need more sleep.

Not sure what is going to get done today. I want to finish my swaps, but DH gave me a chore. That man, doesn't he understand?? Did you know how uncomfortable it is to take out a bagillion staples out of sub flooring? Dang things are stuck in there good. And they are long. What did they think the flooring was going to do? There is a staple every inch to 2 inches. And sometimes 10 in a 2 inch square. Idiots. Oh, and the ones still in floor dig into my knees. OUCH!! The step stool is putting me at a weird angle. Not sure which is better for my back. Anyway, he is held up until I get that done.

We are replacing the flooring in the mud room due to a leaking back door. Sub floor is pretty rotten right next to the door frame. Good news is I get a new back door and tile instead of linoleum. Bad news I have to work for it.

Think I'm being taken to Chic-fil-a for breakfast tomorrow for my Mother's Day present. Free cinnamon rolls at ours tomorrow.

Dad's treatment went well- they have said he only needs 2 more and then they are switching to horomone treatment. They are happy with how the tumors are shrinking!
