Thank goodness it is Friday. This weekend is supposed to be in the high 80s here. We went from winter, right to summer.

Write in DD's communication book - done
Get DD ready for school
Work
Mail package.
Take DD to her riding lesson
Conquer Mt. Rushmore too.
Pay bills

I'm working today. Dan's home on Fridays, so he's taking Morgan fishing and on a picnic in the park. She has her first softball practice this afternoon, we'll find out what the team name and color is and get her shirt and visor today. Fun fun.

Holly, we did go the museum, it was okay. It's very hands-on and I think Morgan may have enjoyed it a bit more with a little friend instead of her old mom. It was something to do, and it was fun, but I don't know that we'd go back again. Hope Mom's feeling better.

It is supposed to be beautiful here this weekend, I wish we had a bit more spring before summer, but as long as it's not humid, it's all good!

Work Fish Fry

What kind of fish do you guys use for this? Is it fresh caught & battered or frozen?

it is fresh but bought- I think it is cod but I would have to ask- one of our members does food at fairs all summer and he is the one who cooks the fish, hushpuppies, and fries in his deep fryers. He also buys all of it so I don't know what it is. We make the cole slaw and grits to go with it and then serve it. It is one of the easiest prepped and cleaned meals we do (we also do spagetti, pork roast, and once a steak).

Tonight is Bridging from Juniors to Cadettes!!
There is so many last minute thingies to finish up:

assign jobs
get food~4pm
get balloons4~pm
put girls speechs in order(wrote themselves)
load car with table, ice chest, tablecloths, GS thingies (put everything in one box!) chairs, camera, utensils, paper goods and anything else I can think of!

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Hope I survive tonight! I had a good cry over this last night so hopefully wont cry tonight!

Oh Man!! What a good ol' Southern Fish Fry!! Hushpuppies, grits, cole slaw! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

We had a great turnout- the fish was pollock (sp?). I think we made over $600 after expenses.
