~The Daily Grind~ 4/10/10

It's The Weekend...Day 1

Vent On:

So, another stressful day at work yesterday, and I'm so glad to be off today! I'm being singled out, and watched. I asked some coworkers that I trust if I'm being paranoid, and they said it's pretty obvious to them too. So, at least I'm not being crazy.

Like yesterday, the minion was working in the same area and questioned something I did..."OH, well I might be wrong... I'll have to check on that..." never got back to me, but if I'm wrong, than every other person including other supervisors is wrong too.

There were a few other things that were said, and I had to keep pointing out that it's not only "me" doing these things, and they need to address this with "everyone" who is doing it...

I hate stress, and feeling like I have to watch my every move. Even things that I say in jest have been twisted, so now I can't even kid around. It's making for a very unhappy me...

OK, Vent Off.

My list for today:

Caffeinate- this repeats everyday!!

Keep to my points!

Need a bit of exercise today...maybe a walk if it clears up...

Swish and Swipe...

Dinner- not sure yet...something easy...

Have a Great Day everyone!! :teeth:

Debbie, sorry you are having such a stressful time at work. I hope next week will be a much better time and you'll be left alone to get your work done.

I'm leaving shortly to drive over to Jacksonville to stitch with my Mom and stitching friends. I haven't seen my friends since we all went to Myrtle Beach in October so it'll be so good to see them and catch up. This afternoon, I'll go the wonderful scrappy shop there and shop, shop, shop!!! I can't wait!!!!!! It'll be such a nice change to shopping only at Michaels and JoAnn's! There's a cross stitch shop there too, but I "need" more scrappy supplies than stitching supplies (I've got tons of those too!) so I'll skip that shop.

Have an awesome Saturday everyone!

I hate that Deb......

Hang in there. It's easier to say than do. I know. I've been there.
Just do your job and try to go with the flow. It's awful to have to work like that.

It's Saturday somthat means swim for bubba.
Coffee with a very dear friend you just lost her dad.
Hugs for her.
Laundry
bills
pick up a few gifts that I need

Aboutna zillion other things but I won't bore you with them!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Have fun Stephanie!!!!

Enjoy your scrappy shopping and friends time!

Deb hang in there. I was in one of those type of jobs, when it starts taking a toll on you mentally and physically it's time to look elsewhere. I'm still 14 months later getting over the toll it took on my body. I'm beginning to wonder if the rash will ever go away. My skin is shot from the whole thing. I stupidly stayed to the bitter end.

My day
up
rest of family up at somepoint
mom and dad to come see calf now that she's home
clean my house
clean my house clean my house some more
laundry mine
try to find the porch.

Rebecca

Thanks guys! Sorry to vent...

I want Steph's day! That sounds like fun!

PO3- for your friend. It's so hard, as we both know!

Deb - I hope next week is better. I'm glad you don't have to go in today!

Stephanie - have fun!!

Holly - Hugs to you and your friend.

Christy - Good luck finding that porch!!

I am up - yep its true. 1:30 for me. Can't sleep. It's 5 here now and DD 2.5 has been up since about 2:45.

Its going to be a long day.

Working on swap items - I am woefully behind.

DD10 severely sprained ankle yesterday. Yay a trip to Urgent Care!! Glad its not broken. So we shall see how today goes. DH is moving more dirt. I am going to try to keep a lid on all in the house. Hopefully I can get my swap groups finished. And take a nap. Taking DD to Taylor Swift concert tonight. Should be a great time - but at this point not looking forward to it if I don't get a nap!:lmao:

Deb - good luck, how stressful. Glad you are on top and paranoid about it - though, because this situation doesn't sound good. In addition to documenting with us (!) what's happening, you should be doing that for yourself too. Sounds like things will either blow over ("never mind") or come to a nasty head and you'll be glad for keeping a journal of the strange questioning.

Wish I had DITs day/weekend too!

Won't be too bad around here, I think/hope. But have to deal with the mail piles, laundry piles, dish piles...sigh. The only pile *not* growing is the "scrapbook pages done" pile!

Deb, has this all started when you moved to days? Can you go back to the other shift to get away from it or will it follow?

PBF is right, you need to document everything. Go back to what you first remember and write it down. And then you need to make a pro con list to see if it wouldn't be better to try to go somewhere else.

Exercise
Shower
Finish up sketch swap hostess gifts. They look pretty darn cute. ;)
Clean up that mess and start swapping out sketch swap.
Run to post office for more big boxes. Don't have enough.
Lunch.
More swapping and packing.
Print labels for Monday mailing.
Figure out dinner.
Vacuum up the dog hair. I forgot how bad the blowing of the husky coat is. Our Missy didn't like the house nearly as much as these two couch potatoes. She was fine staying outside until the shedding ending. Not these pups. :rotfl2: Although I can vacuum them. I need to get a real attachment for this instead of the round brush that came with the vacuum.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Hang in there Buffy.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues at work.. Stay strong and keep a smile on that face.. I'm sure it can be hard but we know you are doing your job right!!!

Today:

I spent this morning documenting the last 2 days in detail, and remembering things that have happened in the last year.

Like when I came in to work one day and he laughed at me and told me I looked "disheveled." Who says that to a woman? Why, because my hair was loose? I'd seen my DH in the parking lot on the way in and he said I looked good.

And the time he started putting down Catholics because he "has the right to say something. My daughter is married to one". As my day is going on, I'm remembering more. I hope it won't come to anything, but I feel better knowing I just have to press print and go to employee relatioins.

The only job that is available in my department right now is a part-time 48hr one. I talked to DH, and he doesn't think that is a good idea right now. But he agrees, the next full time off dayshift, and I should move.

I'm glad you made the time to do this while the memories are still fresh. Hopefully, it will all come to nothing, but if not, you've got the file. Remember too (if you haven't already) to include any co-workers who could have overheard or witnessed each incident of this bizarre stuff. Their testimony will be most helpful if things come down to "he said, she said." (And, sadly, things like this usually do.)

What a moron this guy is... But, it seems like someone raised this up the chain of command - either he did or another of your co-workers did. Someone put Miss/Mr. NosyPants there to shadow you. This could get ugly - glad you are looking for exit strategies in your own self-interest and protecting yourself through your documentation. Good girl.

Debbie, good thing you are writing everything down.. I probably would have popped back after the incident about looking deshelved and told him because I was in the backseat w/ my DH before I clocked in.. JERK!

Wow! This guy is a real MORON!!! :) It takes all kinds Debbie... Just keep you chin up... smile and remember I can fire up that plane to the moon it is ready for passengers any time!!!

Oh deb, that sounds horrible. Good that you are writing everything down, make sure to note who also heard the conversation or saw the event. this is not a good environment to work in.

Tinkryansmom, hope DD's ankle feels better soon. Have a good time at the concert.

My Saturday to do list is:

Fold laundry
start dishwasher
Caffeinate
Crop :goodvibes

Deb, Once upon a time, I was a recruiter and career coach. You've been given good advice - especially the bit about adding the witnesses names. One other thing though - email yourself a copy at home, daily - I don't trust work computers not to eat things, and that gives you a timestamp as well. Good luck. Hang tough.

I just want to say thanks to all my DIS buds! As usual, you guys are the best! I appreciate all the advice!

You my friends, who live in this box on my desk, are such a great support when there are life issues. I've seen it over and over not only when I have issues, but when any of us do. The support and advice given so freely and with such caring, is amazing.

I just had to say Thank You for giving to me! :goodvibes

Hey Debbie, you know if we all had to drive up there to resolve this issue... we'd surely do so.. I'd pick up Ann on the way, Mickster (even though she is AWOL w/ work, she's always up for a road trip), I'm sure AWM knows others on the way... Lisa would bring everyone from the New England area!!!!

:thumbsup2 mycutiepatooties can meet up at my house. OhMom is on the way north. And depending upon where we go in PA, we have a quite a few swappers we can haul in. :)

How very very true Deb. I can speak for myself as to bow great the support system is here. I know that I would not have made it somedays without my friends here. I've had to call on all of you for support, love , and positive energy on numerous occasions and you've always been there for me. And for that I'll always be thankful. Sometimes I feel like I've over used my quota of support, but all of you just keep on giving.
Thank you.
And
thank you deb for saying it. It gives us all the chance to remember how great we are too each other here. I love this little corner of my world!
