 Rebecca. I would have told the Tampa folks to rent a car, but I didn't want to seem rude to you by saying that out loud. :flower3: Prayers to help you through this.

Eldest went off to school on time.
Little Bit is next.
Need to get the junk out of the back of my minivan ASAP. Heading to Goodwill as soon as they open. It's actually NOT junk. If I had a second hand store close by, I could probably make some decent cash. Lots of glasses & dishes, shoes, clothes, toys. Way too many toys.
Need to run to JoAnns and get some fleece. I need to make 8 blankets for the Linus Project for the WDW GAD GAD program. Should probably pick up one of those rotary cutters too for the fringe. Save myself a lot of hand ache from cutting. The boys can handle the pulling through and we should be done before the 19th.
How many yards do you think I'll need for [8] 40x60 blankets?
Get some milk & lunch meat today. We have everything else, but those little rug rats ate a pound of lunch meat in 3 days. :confused3 I didn't know I was raising carnivores.
Homework.
Dinner.
Laundry in between all day.

Dragging a bit this a.m. - but had fun last night!

Extra guests did not come - but STILL had too much food - just less extra than years past!!! The sugar weenies...HUGE hit! This one is a keeper! The baked brie - gobbled up and loved again :lovestruc.

The kids had fun with the baby (DS played endless games of "PeekABoo with her!), but we all had to watch for her crawling through the scrapbook area and stop her repeatedly from grabbing at/mouthing on embellishments and punches! It's been a long time since we were "baby-proof" around here!!!

Not much to do around here today. DH always does a great job at our parties, keeping the dishwasher loaded and going, so this morning, there's not much to do but put away the extra kitchen appliances pulled out, put furniture back, etc. And leftovers for dinner! I smell scrappin' happenin' today...!

For the first time, we had ten different silly SB party game pools about when certain things would happen - I won three of the ten - woo woo...$3! (Including the final score/game winner!) Z2H and Lou organized this and it was very fun and kept us laughing - several pools involved the commercials, too. The Doritos ones seemed to be the clever and funny winner this year for our gang.

Oh yeah, forgot to add that one guest (who hasn't been here since the SB party last year - which was just after we started setting up our scrap area) asked if we were selling scrapbooks...

Funny man...

(DH...not so amused...)

Prayers and Pixie Dust for transportation in MD- my parents, SIL, and her 2 kids, are on 2 different flights out tomrrow- today only 7 flights are going out- if their flights don't go they will have to drive down- so just please keep them in your thoughts- we are hoping they will be able to get out. Mom says the biggest problem is they don't have anywhere to put the snow even as they try to plow it.

Rebecca

Prayers for safe travel, Rebecca!

AWM, what is a WDW GAD GAD?

Thanks for the support Ladies, Im going to need it! I still have a problem with that its only points and not exchanges now.

Give A Day, Get A Day.

You volunteer a day and you get either a single day ticket to the park, fast passes for up to 5 people, special ears, or you can donate the ticket.

We are doing the Linus Project because Little Bit is only 8. Not a lot of options for that age group.

Hello everyone! I've been up a while, but my computer was acting funky, so I left it alone to get over itself, and then rebooted. And it's backing up now, just in case something goes wrong.

Today:
- Up
- Breakfast
- Get ready
- Head into Boston
- Go shopping
- Meet Lou for lunch?
- Class
- Work 5-9 (Remember to get rid of friend's dad's fines)

- Home
- Dinner
- Homework
- Sleep

Busy day at work!

Ann, is there a link for that? I'm having trouble finding things for Morgan to do too. I know we could do blankets. I'm hoping to talk DH into going down a day early and going to the MK for the Friday before the cruise (and the Halloween party!).

Good luck to your family, Rebecca, I hope they get out of there.

I believe we are expecting about 6 inches of snow on Wednesday. I hope they cancel school, since they are supposed to have a half day anyway.

I went through the main Disney website. I think you have to in order for it to count.

You put in your zip code and you can then narrow it down by date, distance, project and a box to click for the under 18 crowd.

You can also put in the zip code for Disney. There is a Project Linus near there that you can mail your blankets to if there isn't one close to you.

The other things for close to his age were sticking stamps on newsletters and collecting dog food. Both of those were far away distance wise and I was pretty sure my Little Bit would not want to stick on stamps. :rotfl2:

He is really quite excited about doing the blankets for children in the hospital. He has a heart of gold.

So 13 yards and one rotary cutter comes to $120 dollars. Very cool yardage though. 6 yards of Pooh and Friends, 5 yards of Toy Story and 2 yards of Mickey Mouse.

The fabric is only 58 inches wide. I will have to go 60 inches long instead of the 40 I originally thought. So 2 yards a blanket instead of 1-1/2.

I still need more material, but there wasn't any more of the Mickey & Toy Story and the Pooh is kinda girlie. Will send the DH out for more later on this week to check on the Mickey.

Hey- does anyone know if our CT girls and their families are all doing well after the explosion there in the Power Plant?- I know that it didn't really effect the homes around it or anything but I don't know if any of them have family that were effected.

AWM - I just signed up for the Project Linus also!! Last time I checked the GAD GAD there was nothing in our area for DD10, so this is great! Still won't cover DD2.5 but heck - its a free day at Disneyland!! I guess I can spring for her ticket!!:lovestruc

I think Js has fleece on sale so have to check that out.

Wonder how fast I can get these tickets! I love to go in the spring before the East Coasters on Spring Break invade!!;)

OK off to take pic of challenge layout. Where is the camera!?
