The Daily Grind ~ 2/23/12

Well, it's the last day of school for the week here!!! It's finals day for my oldest 2... needless to say, I was glad to get those grumps out the door!!!

Sorry I was MIA most of yesterday... I had some scrappin' and laundry to catch up on... then DH decided to upgrade the memory in DD's computer... well, didn't think that through because he took her computer down and she had a major final project to do as her final and she couldn't get to her documentation so she took over my laptop.... of course DH blamed both of us for not telling him... I laughed at him and told him had he asked we would have told him! MEN!

Today, I have been up and getting all my chores done... I need to dry my load of towels and my chores are complete for the day... grumpy attitudes last night resulted in each kid getting a room to clean before bed!

So, the rest of today, I will be:
scrapping 10 pages to meet my goal today
prepping 10 pages for Friday
deciding what to do w/ the kids tomorrow since we have the day off
1pm back to eye dr with PJ to complain about contacts not doing their job
pick up DS11
homework/snack
DS11 ready for soccer conditioning
pick up DS15 from his last bb practice of the season (last game tomorrow night!!!!)

My work schedule changed this week and will be this way for a couple of months. The good thing with it is that I won't have to work any weekends for a few months (well, except when I have a class or host crop night), but I will have to get up way too early in the mornings. The hours are great (6 a.m. to 1 p.m.), but I really miss the customers. I can't believe I said that, but I do. It's great to get so much work done without being interrupted, but the store is way too quiet. I'm so used to being there when it's busy and then being pulled in a 100 different directions. Of course by the time he switches me back to my normal schedule, I'm going to be in love with this new one and have a hard time adjusting to the chaos again!

My day:
Wake up way too early
Feed cats
Work
Grocery store
Laundry
Start getting stuff together for tomorrow night's class
Dinner - DH is going to go into shock with 4 homecooked meals in a row! My normal schedule doesn't have me home much at dinnertime.
Bed early as I have to get up way too early

I love school vacation week! We really needed the break!

Nan, hope the grumpies have left your house and tomorrow is peaceful!

Repairman called, one part is still on backorder and now they are saying it won't be available until March 24 DH was on the phone for over an hour trying to get the part expedited, um 6 weeks without a washer is totally unreasonable!

DS called last night, he has caught the stomach bug that is going around, I offered to drive up and take care of him. He really wishes that were possible. He has some saltines in his room and some gatorade, told him to take small sips and one cracker at a time. He is supposed to call later.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day!

it is 81 outside so as soon as the boys get home - it is backyard time
I'm taking the laptop out with me & working on inkscape & tan rotfl: - I"m a red-head so tanning is silly)

please pray that James lets everyone sleep tonight - I think I got about 4 hours of sleep last night

hope Josh feels better soon....ginger ale is good for settling the stomach too, I drank that alot when I had morning sickness with megan at room temp

No gingerale on campus for Josh, he can only get Sprite. He has been really dizzy so when he stands up gets sick. Poor kid. He called this evening and has not gotten sick since this morning, holding a few crackers down. Hopefully he is up to going to get some light food in the am. He is worried about falling behind in his classes, told him he had plenty of time to catch up as the school nurse had informed his professors that he was ill.

On the plus side before he got sick he did talk to someone about transferring and has the paperwork to fill out. He is looking into the state university a few towns over so he can live at home and commute while he tries to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up

Time for me to get ready for bed, I have been working on letters since about 6pm and my back is starting to bother me.

sounds like he's a bit dehydrated, he needs to keep fluids in him!
good he's getting time to catch up on his work!
sure the move to the University will be good for him and he'll be back home too which is a bonus for you all

Megan's now running a low fever, so guess she's home another day...might have a dr appt tomorrow if she's still not better.
