It's Sunday!!

Got a bunch done around the house yesterday...so today I get to go to the bead show!! Buying what strikes my fancy, and seed beads for Christmas gifties

My list for today:

Caffeinate

This repeats every day!!

Swish and Swipe... everyday!

Stay low carbie... I made the cuppycakes, but I ain't eatin' any cuppycakes

Bead Show starts at 10a

Find DS21's Christmas list... Misplaced it (maybe ask if he saved a copy) In my defense, I did ask him to send it in an email, I save them better than a piece of paper...

wake at 4:00
meet friend so i don't have to go alone.
bj's for weekly stuff
menu plan for the week
try to get a few more gifts off my list
put living room some what back in order so we can put the tree up!

You were up at 4:00 am?! Eeep! I stayed in bed until 6:40 and only got up under protest! Why do I have to get up just because the rest of the house is up?!

Princess is singing in the chorus for the pancake Santa breakfast this morning, so we are going to that. We got a lovely layer of SNOW (I said it, I said it!) so I hope to get a good photo of the Princess for a Christmas card.

After breakfast we are going to the grocery store to find something for dinner and then coming home and STAYING HOME! I've been promising Princess we could make a house from Winter Woodlands for weeks, so that's on the list, and so is a lot of other crafting.

Go out to pick a tree. We're not cutting it down this year, we don't have enough time. That's our advent calendar activity of the day!
Go to A.C Moore and the Christmas Tree Shop - I got Lou's mom's present, so now I'm officially done Christmas shopping!!!!
Home
Homework as long as I can
Call BBW to see if they need me to work - I hate call ins! Call at 4, find out if I need to work 5-11. I need to dedicate 6 hours to them... maybe? So I don't know if I need to eat alone or with my family... grrrrr. And then I don't know if I can do homework.
So then either: Work -or- more homework.
Either way, not going to sleep any time soon.

Hol, sorry about the wake.

Late to the party this morning. Haven't been sleeping well.

I was gone for most of the day yesterday and firday night so the house looks like a bomb went off in it. DH make gingerbread cookies with the kids yesterday complete with 4 different colours of icing so you can guess what the kitchen looks like today.

Up, breakfast and coffee.
Look for Sarah's ring (was mine as a child) FOUND IT!
Unload dishwasher
Load dishwasher
Take Photos for Christmas Card (it is CUTE)
Upload Pics and Order from CVS
Clean up in kitchen
Tidy back parlour
Dust first Floor
Advent Calendar (new Gloves for the kids)
Put away yard
Start next knitting project
Make tomorrow's list
Put away Thanksgiving Decorations
Tidy up in Dining Room (has become DH's new dumping ground - I have to nip that in the bud)

I have a list a mile long.. of tideous tiny tasks..but they have to get done this weekend.. I'm running out of time....
These are the major things for today...

I'm going to make the 8 notebook/post-it sets for gifts today
DH and the boys will put the totes up in the attic (there will be protest but it will happen)
feed DH as this man is ALWAYS hungry (he is worse than teenage boys!!!!)
kids to straighten rooms (ALL KIDS, another protest will insue from Grinch and Bah Humbug)
get scraproom cleaned up...
Found my elf last night, he is on my washer.. need to have DS9 go find her... (I'll post photos later! She is gorgeous!!! OMG!)

Sunday, Sunday

Yesterday was a great day. Went to see Santa. Just spent the day with my family. Went to lunch. Looked at some options/upgrades for house. Fun stuff just being together.

Last night DD9 and I ran out and did some Christmas shopping.

VENT-went to HomeGoods and they only had those scary elves. Next door to Halllmark to check out Elf on a Shelf. $30 bucks...Elf not so cute. DD was sent to other corner of store. Did not purchase. Next door to Barnes and Noble. DD9 wanted to buy books for DD2 - what was on HUGE display IN THE MIDDLE OF THE KIDS SECTION!!! Elf on a Shelf!!! Kept trying to distract DD away from the Elf. They did have an "activity book" of ideas so may sneak back there if I can find a elf I like. Y'all have cute elves. Starbucks did have a knitted fabric elf with some sort of chocolate goodies in his hand so if I cannot find anything cuter.....maybe.

Today - plans are in flux. Was going to watch friend show her horse but its cold and foggy and she did not go. Waiting to hear from a long lost friend no longer lost (thanks FB!!) and maybe go see him.

It's COLD!!!!! I've had a cup of Mickey Mouse's hot chocolate, but I think I'm going to need another one!

We watched some movies together this morning and now DH and DS are getting ready to head to the school to clean up the auditorium and take down the set.

My list for the rest of the day is:
Put up the last of the decorations - FINALLY!!!
Laundry
Make menu for week
Grocery shopping
Pay bills
Make Christmas list so that I can see what I still need to get
Try to stay warm! - I know y'all have much colder weather than us, but I live in Florida and we don't handle cold weather well at all. We Wienies!!!

TinkerBean - how do you "put away yard"??? Is this a Boston thing??

It snowed last night - DH did manage to get the canvas roof off of the Gazebo yesterday afternoon (y'all remember what happened last year, here it is in case you missed it).

So now I have to run around putting the cushions away (they are in the dining room) and close up everything in yard (gardening stuff, pitch the frozen plants) I know I should have done this earlier

I have frozen plants too They have been growing and still flowering...till yesterday's surprise white stuff. And DS17 tried to plug in my heated birdbath yesterday, the birdies didn't have any fresh water, but he didn't do it right. So there I am today slipping and sliding to get the thing plugged right. All I could think about is how mad I'll be when I'm laying on the deck, on the ice, because I fell and broke something, and NO ONE in my house was awake. You know they would never hear me calling, they sleep like rocks...

The bead show was small, but I still managed to spend spend spend Did some MAY-JA damage. I got some cool things to make gifties, and had to get a couple of things for myself I mean, I had to reward all that selflessness of thinking of gifties for others right? Of course there is DH in the kitchen when I try to sneak...I mean walk... in with the bags...

Ok - so I'm VERY late to this party today. (I don't always get to the weekend Grind!)

Skipped ice hockey this a.m. - DD claimed to have a sore throat - miracle cure though when the activity calendar said "get Christmas tree" today! (Yesterday's activity was "get donuts" - which made the announcement of them getting their N1N1 shots in an hour *slightly* more palatable.)

Reviewed our schedule of the day and decided to buy a cut tree locally (boo!) rather than choosing and cutting our own down at a not-so-nearby tree farm. Surprisingly, though, it is a gorgeous Noble Fir tree and was at least $20 less than if we had driven an hour (each way) to the tree farm... Next year, we'll get back to doing that.

We had a semi-successful trip to ACM and the Christmas Tree Shop - there's more about that in the Nesties thread...

This afternoon, DH and I will work on making our huge new Disney pin board - we have all the wood, cork, and velcro fabric and just need to screw/glue/staple it all together. It will be 4' x 6.6" - should be big enough to display all our pins for awhile...i hope....

Dinner - sirloin tips, rice, veggies.

Tonight - either card making or more progress in cleaning out the basement. DH and I made marvelous progress yesterday and got two large areas cleared of crap - we have lots of trash going out this week and the next van load of items for the charity thrift shop is pretty much ready! Woo woo!
