One day: MK or Park Hopper MK/EP, which order?

WDW veteran but having a hard time deciding what to do. I added a quick trip before a cruise, only one day in the parks with my daughter. She loves MK but won't ride Space or 7 dwarves. BTMRR is still closed. Staying at Boardwalk. HEA is a must. Do we book LL for afternoon for MK and rope drop EP since it’s right there? Or should we just maximize our time at MK rope drop to close? Would save me $150 too. I’m torn. Also, I will be in a scooter. Thanks!

Is there anything in Epcot that is a must do? I wouldn't choose the park to visit based on my resort/location. I would choose my resort based on what park I want to visit. Maybe WL would be better for you? Hopping for one day is rough. We have had 1-day park visits pre-cruise many times. Trying to hop would be really cramming a lot into that one day. How old is your daughter? Is she ok with all that?

She enjoys Epcot, but I wouldn’t say anything is an absolute must do.

We are DVC and this is a very last minute trip, she loves Boardwalk, so I was happy to get that waitlist come through during Easter week. Normally, I agree and would coordinate my split stays with park days, but this is a completely unexpected quick one day there.

She’s 13 and has unlimited parks stamina (and I’ll be on a scooter due to knee surgery). My biggest hesitation with all day at MK is without doing the rides I mentioned, I’m just not sure if we need 13 hours there. Her priority at MK is definitely Tiana’s. So, if we hopped, I would try and pre-book an early afternoon LL for Tiana’s and leave Epcot around noon via monorail. I’m just not sure with it being the week after Easter if I will get many more LL’s that late after we tap in to say a 1ish Tiana’s. That’s why I’m torn.

Just stick with MK. You are vets and that is a crazy amount of money for 3 hours at EP if it isn’t something you really want to do.

Take a nice meal at WL or a monorail resort if you don’t want an afternoon break. Take a moment and smell the roses so to speak in the park- like, enjoy coffee on main street, browse the shops in the morning as the crowd rushes past and enjoy the little details, check out the windows, etc.

Yeah I'd put that $150 toward a nice meal, or extras on your cruise....

With 13 hours.... I'd take a break and do a ride on the monorail or a boat and do one of the resorts for sight seeing, AC and a restaurants. Then get back to doing MK...

I'd probably just stick with MK. Put the PH $ towards LLMP.

Pre-book her favorites and add as you can. With a "one day quick trip" you can set your pace (rope drop or casual start).

“For 3 hours at EP”. When it’s framed like that, sold. Thank you. I wouldn’t have had this question if my OKW reservation wasn’t switched to BWV. But since EP was right there it had me in doubt. This makes more sense.

Good point!
