~The Daily Grind~ 12/5/10

It's The Weekend! Day #2!!

I'm off again! :teeth:

20 shopping days left!!

So guess what I did yesterday... nada! That's right, nothing! Woke up feeling punky, and stayed in my jammies all day. I was a total lump! I crocheted and watched Hallmark Christmas movies! Ran out of yarn for the baby sweater, and started a scarf for myself! I never make anything for me!

So, my list carried forward...

My list for today:

Caffeinate...This repeats everyday

Swish, Swipe, and Swiffer

Run errands:
Boscov's
Joann's

Work on crochet baby sweater

Have a GREAT day everyone!!

Good Morning, Ladies!

Slept great for a change. I should be perky and ready to go. I'm not. No "fun stuff" awaits today.

Today, I will

File. (oh joy)
clear off the kitchen counter
gym & pool
stop at the co-op for bread & a paper
wrap last little gifties and lug wrappings to the cellar
then, I don't know what. I HATE days like this, without a plan.
Don't mind me, lol

Have a terrific Sunday, everyone!

No big plans. Was supposed to have breakfast with my BFF, but she's not feeling well :(

Maybe we'll bring down the tree and start decorating. Maybe.

I love jammie days, Deb! Maybe I'll do that today. Ah, I can't, I have to bring stuff to the Youth Center for the pre-parade party.

Hope you get through your filing, Linda!

Hope everyone has a good day.

Boy Lisa - I thought I had a lot of cookies to bake, 7 dozen, until I saw the amount you are baking!! Need them for tomorrow. Have fun!

Today I am:

finish decorating the house
finish the Christmas cards

clean kitchen/dining room
Dh to go buy mop clothes for DS10 to mop the floors (he loves it; I hate it)

I finally got DH & DS to get the Christmas decorations down from the attic!!! The tree will be up today and I'll start getting the ornaments on it. The rest will be put out this week as I get the time. I also finally got our Christmas cards ordered and will get the letter to go with them written tonight. Hopefully I'll get those all addressed and ready to go in the mail by Thursday. I'm trying to get things accomplished around here, but DH is watching the Harry Potter movies and everytime I go near the tv, I'm getting sucked in and stop to watch for awhile!!:goodvibes

Yesterday I met up with my stitching friends and my Mom over in Orange Park (just outside Jacksonville). Well, last year an awesome scrapbook store in Jacksonville closed which is a shame because it was a really great store. But, I found a nice little shop in Orange Park (it's small, but has lots of stuff)and it's only about 10 minutes from my friend's house. So, now everytime I go see her, I can also scrap shop!!!! It was very hard, but I was good and only bought a little bit as I need to watch $$ until we hear about DH's job, but I had such fun looking and touching everything. Being able to see and touch things is what I miss with online shopping. Too bad the store is 2 1/2 hours away, but at least it's better than the nothing I have here!:thumbsup2

I've never been a big cookie maker. I love making the cuppy cakes and candy though...

This year, I'm making oreo truffles for gifties, and there were some really interesting candy/bar cookies on Poineer Woman's blogs...so I'll be making them too...

Ok- accomplished my goal for today:
5 doz Ultimate Choc Dipped cookie - every bit from scratch
2 1/2 doz peanut butter with Hershey kiss
1 1/2 doz brownie cupcakes drizzled with choc ganache

My back is aching!!!!!
Now on to my lesson plans for the week. I must think I'm young again to get this all done. :lmao:

What's your address again? Those all sound so num yummy!

We've had HP on all day too. I've gone out three times today...three times more than I wanted to. :lmao: I'm putting myself to bed now.

well not quite 20 dozen...17 instead took me 4 hours! I give them out for gifts to friends, family and will have them at our party next weekend and of course xmas.

now have to frost them all....that takes awhile too! also got the preztel/kisses/m&m's done, don't know what they are called but so easy and yummy!

Cookies galore around here today. I so don't have the patience for them any more. It was one of my fav holiday traditions but now........ guess having a bday on the 11th and 19th (used to have a 12th and a 16th anniver) has done me in on time.

Elves have not left building..... got to get that done now and have them crash into something don't know what yet.

Trees are done star is hitting the roof and my bedroom has been lost to christmas just had found it too. oh well..... this week is major deep cleaning last week was more of a decluttering. gotta get ready for the birthdays.

6 days till I'm offically old! E turns double digits on sat.

off to write the arrival letter still haven't come up with a name for the snowman that is joining them..... Ernie and Elmo (reindeer) have a new partner in crime.

What a great day. We really didn't have anything on the agenda but got lots done.

Nice Sunday breakfast with DH. DD slept in until 9:00 am
Feed cats
Throw in a load of laundry
Wrapped Christmas presents
DH set up the Christmas village on top of the piano
Lunch out with DH. :lovestruc
Joann and Michaels to pick up jewelry supplies
Make two ornamental button bracelets.
Watch UConn/Sacred Heart basketball game
Listen to David Garrett while wrapping presents. Fantastic violinist.
Picked up MomE, go to see Bright Night Christmas lights. Annual Christmas tradition that we all love.

Lisa - do you know that I have never been to Bright Nights and I live here????? Hope you had a great time. We had all our Christmas cd's on while we baked and finished decorating.
Sounds like so many of us got so much accomplished today - I love days like this.
