Hhhhhheeeelllllllllllllllloooooo......anyone out there?

How can I possibly be the first one this morning?

Good morning everyone! I have confirmation that I will be playing the part of the grinch for the rest of this holiday season. I'm tired of decorating, wrapping, cleaning, shopping, etc and not getting a single bit of help in my house. Can't even get DH to take the boxes back to the attic or put the air conditioners away. It's December, we won't be needing them! The heater in my car has stopped working which makes clearing frost and ice from the windshield nearly impossible. And, to top it all off my mom wants to know when we are making cookies! Seriously.....we have been over this several times. No....More....Cookies!

Rant over.

Anyway, here's what my day looks like:

Boys up & out
Work till 3 p.m.
Home for yougest at bus stop
Snack
Homework
Check on invoice for chocolate bars....what are they waiting for?!?
Find a hiding place for gifts I wrapped last night
Pick up DS17 at school
Dinner
Boy Scout Meeting & Christmas Party
Check with Cub Scouts to see if everything is done for party
Watch Big Bang
Wrap some more stuff
Crash

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry you are having a grinchy week. DH is right there with you.
For the windshield. Get a spray bottle and put 2 parts vinegar and 1 part water in it. Spray your windshield at night and then if you need to do it again do it in the morning. We barely have to scrape our windows now.

To do:
Kids off to school
clean bathroom
clean and vacuum boys room
set up spare bed for DS16's friend (spending the night because his mom is working a double at the hospital)
get dinner in crock pot
lunch
get DH's watch repaired

get older Boys

Cheryl yeah for Sarah coming home

boys from bus too maybe I'll make them walk home........ course their backpacks weigh 20 lbs and its up hill so I wont

Good Afternoon!

I guess I am lucky that DH had helped me with cooking at least and I can always get my brother (who lives here) to move boxes. I just have to let him have the whole day and choose when he wants to move them. Decorating not so much help and DH will probably take the gifts for his side of the family to the PO and mail them tomorrow once I wrap and package them up. He has also cooked dinner every night this week while I have done cookies and other Christmas goodies.

I spent 2 hours today checking on a family that called and asked to be added to our angel tree at church today. She has 5 children, lives 20 minutes away from the church, and attends a different church who refused her request for the children's gifts. I thought something was funny so I tracked down the other pastor to get more information- so for her 5 we are taking things from our toy giveaway so they will have something but I certainly understand the position of the other church. I don't understand why a parent wouldn't realize until mid December that they need someone else to buy there children's gifts for Christmas. I have had 4 families with a total of 15 children ask to be added to the tree since Sunday and not one of them has ever come to anything at the church ever. I am at the point where I would like to say to parents - I am sorry for your tardiness and lack of insight but it is not my responsibility. I also wonder if that is too heartless for me to feel- I just have asked our people to have the gifts here by the beginning of the week so there is no time to get things for another family. Also I could tell she was feeling me out as to what to ask for because she started telling me that her 2 oldest sons would like DS's but that would be expensive so something else would be okay (she had already asked a different church for bikes for the children but they didn't know if they would have enough).

Still to do today:
bake another batch of cookies (last one)
puppy chow in white and milk chocolate
wrap gifts (at least those that need to be mailed)
finish word and typo check of the book
write up game for chapter 10 of the book
Dh is doing burgers for dinner

Rebecca

Hello all! I landed home safely in the STL last night after 4 great days of vacation in NYC. I am tired and need to play catch up in a major way since we have to leave next weekend for Christmas already. I do not have my shopping done or one present wrapped:scared1:

Reddy- Hope you don't have to go back to work
Lisa- Congrats on your new toy that I saw on the other thread

Today
Do the morning shuffle
Work
Go through hundreds of e-mails- always fun after vacay
Gather kids from school/buses
Clean Some
Laundry
Work Christmas party for DH

Crash from exhaustion

Rebecca

I feel so sorry for you - seems like she is hitting up everyone that she can - my boys never got that much outside of family - what popped into my head was how much would she resale for drugs - that is awful of me, I know but the last person/family I helped with - that is what happened (except with what I gave - it was homemade so she couldn't do that) got busted on the drugs & the kids are in a foster home now - really sad really
then a girl that used to work with me - bragged about getting everything for free since she lived in govt housing - her check from work went to fun stuff
I think I hear of too many people working the system - they were trying to get me to do it too
I"m glad you check them out - I have to wonder why the other pastor didn't know they needed help - preachers & teachers usually know who really needs help
