PBF- I tried to get my DH to take dancing classes with me... he tells me he "doesn't have the time". I think it's manspeak for... "Nope"

It wasn't hard to talk mine into it - you see, he is so much more skilled and smooth than I am on the dance floor. (I'm a former ice hockey player - that pretty much says it all about my lack of graceful dancing abilities!) And, thanks to his mom, he did take ballroom dance classes for a very little while when he was a kid.

So, I think it was a mixture of self-preservation (I usually step all over his toes!) and "I'm better at this than she is!" on his part! But, I'm determined to learn and look good on the dance floor on our 25th anniversary DCL cruise next year!!! (And dance well at the weddings of my children someday!)

I'm so excited! Just a few minutes ago, I booked our airfare for this 2010 trip - although it is still 10 months off! The booking window just opened and I got great fares and finally feel like the trip is becoming more of a reality.

Isn't the best feeling booking and knowing you are going! I got my vaca approved for next Oct Food and Wine... going to be talking to DH about it this weekend, Where to book, 11 months out at Boardwalk, or 9 months out at Beach Club...hmmmm

And he keeps talking about another cruise. Can't go till 2011 though, both kids in college, both over 18. DCL just the 2 of us The kids are already getting mad about it I'd love to book Disney Dream...looks so cool! And we have been on the Magic and the Wonder. I'll have to see if I can make it happen...

Today was a total bust. School duty in the second grade in the morning and I was supposed to just help during lunch at the book fair. I finally got out of there at 2:30. Just enough time to chow down some late lunch before Eldest got off the bus.

Used the left over plain rice from yesterday to make rice, salsa, cheese and fried eggs. It's really good once you mix it all up.

Just veg rest of the night to get rid of headache.

Eeep! When are the flights open through? I want to book our cruise ASAP (once we get airfare, we aren't going to cancel!).

As of today, JetBlue is now booking through Sept. 7. We booked our hotel/cruise/cabin in May of this year and have been checking weekly(?) online with the airline to see when the window would open up for us. It must have just in the past few days! Up to now, everything was totally refundable - now I *really* feel committed to the trip, as the airfare isn't!

I have DS17's yearbook to do too. His friend that we have carpooled with, and he has known since kindergarten are going to share a page, her mom and I talked. We are going to do a pic from way back, them holding hands at 5yrs, a recent pic of them together now, and one of each of them now. 1 page split in half... makes me want to I just can't believe how they have grown!

My day started out good, had a good night's sleep, felt great, then started with chills and body aches, sneezing, ugh. It hit quick, left work around 11:30, stopped at CVS to stock up, and got as far as the couch when I got home. If this is the flu, I'll pass, it feels like the whole piggy pen stomped all over me.

Yes, in our educational wisdom they had deemed it wise to have all finals on ONE day!
Good thing our colleges don't do that! Then they wonder why our kids are so stressed out!!!!

For the vinyl, what if you use the smallest hole punch you have to pre-hole them for sewing?

We did that when we made those sitting pads in girl scouts out of the flannel backed vinyl table clothes.

Or the fake sewing glue.

Painting in the LEGO room is done. Thank goodness! The texture and the dark color made it take forever to get good coverage. I did the first coat of the accent wall separating the family room from the LEGO room. I can do the second coat at 10PM and I don't care how late it is, it is getting done! It isn't that big of a wall, though, so I should be done by 10:30.
