Wow - Monday again already!
AYM - thanks for checking for magic books - sounds like you're making great progress weeding through the books before your company arrives!
joyah - Sorry about the decision about the VNA job - you're right - that stinks. Was the craft show this weekend good for you? Hope so!
MM - good luck with the gingerbread houses - sounds cute!
Today:
Kids up and out
Dog - needs monthly Revolution (flea/tick/heartworm meds) today on shoulder blades - then long walk to make sure they dry and he doesn't roll around and rub meds off

Check in with printer about Girl Scout troop tour later this week (then email other co-leader)
Pick up prescriptions at far-away pharmacy (don't ask!) - take the bus over and back?
Find nice clothes/shoes for DD12 to wear for school talent show later this week (flute playing) - raid my closet if necessary
Clothes bins to attic - finally!
Finish kitchen clean-up - DH cooked Sunday dinner - tasted really good, but he makes a mess and cleans MOST of it back up, but...
Itemize/photograph donations to thrift shop - DH has to get them out of here before end of week - company coming!
Swish and swipe bathrooms - Deb, you're right - gotta strap myself back into the Flylady harness!
DH asked me to clean up some of the garden's perennial beds - the city's last leaf and yard waste pick-up for the season is this week - ya...I'll get right on that! (NOT LIKELY!)
Homework/music practice oversight
Dinner - hot dogs and onion rings
Address Christmas cards tonight? Or just collapse and do 'em another day?
Meds and bed
We made a sad, but responsible, decision yesterday to only modestly decorate for Christmas this year. I have (ahem...a lot!) of indoor and outdoor decorations (not including the tree) and it takes me/us 60 "man hours" (me - a minimum of four 10 hour days and then significant days and hours of help from DH and Z2H) to put them up each November and another 40 "man hours" to take everything down in January and put it away. I got a good look at our basement yesterday. I was appalled! We spent a lot of time this spring cleaning it out and now it looks worse than ever - filled with crap! DH and I have to spend time down there ruthlessly cleaning it out! So, that seems to be a better use of our spare time during the next month or two. We will all spend one December day together putting out only our absolute favorite or necessary items (the tree, the Advent/activity calendar, stockings, a tiny subset of our massive Christmas village, etc...) and one January day putting them away. I love decorating - others in the family, not so much! - and will miss all the pretty things, but we have to get a handle on getting basement stuff out, or we'll never be able to seriously consider putting a family/game room down there.
