I ran into the manager while I was there and he said he wasn't sure he'd need me to, but would I be available to work Thanksgiving night if necessary. I, of course, said yes, but I told him I really wanted to shop that night and he said he'd make some time for me to do that. Now I can get out of going down to spend Thanksgiving with all of DH's relatives whom I don't even know.

Wow! You are a double-lucky girl!!! Deals AND avoiding relatives...nice going!

For some reason the manager really likes me. I was even named the 5 Star Employee of the Month for October and I only just started working there in September!

See that little cloud? It was following us around at work today... Something bad happened to everyone today... Friday the 13 lives long and proud in Delaware today!!

I'm soooo glad that it's the weekend...going to STOMP with DS17 tomorrow, can't wait...then dinner buffet after...

and Sunday is just for cleaning and laundry, and maybe some stained glass crifting for Christmas... but still not working, so it's all good!!!

Photos won't be till late because DS9 was asked to play in a tournament in KY tomorrow so we are headed to Louisville in the AM for the day!

DD's fever broke last night but still congested so I kept her home again.
The rain started here this afternoon and supposed to last the weekend. Better rain than the white stuff.

See that little cloud? It was following us around at work today... Something bad happened to everyone today... Friday the 13 lives long and proud in Delaware today!!

Didn't know you were in Delaware! That's where DH and I both were raised (North Wilmington and Claymont) and lived there until grad school/jobs in New England (but we returned to get married in DE). Since it is such a small state, it seems like practically everyone in Delaware knows each other - or at least are only one or two degrees of separation away from each other! So, who do you know who I also know???? Ha!

Well, Princess wasn't feeling up to the Square Dance tonight. So, no mommy time alone, but that's okay.

I'm soooooo tired. Don't think I'll make it to 9:00 tonight.

So, our weekend plans are changed now. I was getting some guilt from mom for considering not coming to the cabin this weekend. Then, she kept DS today (he's not been at her house for two days due to Veterans' Day & then being sick). Once she saw his rash and watched it get progressively worse all day long, she called me to say she understood!!

The goal is to keep DS calm, quiet, cool, and at home this weekend! We may run out for a few minutes (just because he likes to go), but for the most part, we're going to wait this out. Still don't know if it's teething or the rash, but it's for the birds!!

I'm exhausted--I'm hoping we all sleep tonight!!

I just found out it was Friday the 13th...that explains my afternoon. This morning wasn't bad. Stopped at M's on the way over and got a Martha punch and a bunch of the Making Memories vintage findings stuff that was on deep discount. Bag of stuff for less than the original price of the punch. Then they were giving out free Frostys at Wendy's, when I got my lunch.

But then, I noticed there is a green spot on the bathroom counter from a cleaning bottle that won't come out. And I think I broke my vacuum. And then I had to drop what I was working on and leave the apartment because there was an inch of snow on the ground and it was falling fast. Yes, I said it, I don't care if I get a time out on the naughty mat. Took forever to drive home. There are two things I hate driving in...darkness and snow, and I had both. Then I had to go pick DH up at the park & ride because it wasn't bad downtown so he stayed to partake in the adult beverages after work. Course, when he went to get his bus it was late, and that meant he would miss his connection and be stuck waiting a half hour without winter clothes (the storm wasn't supposed to come until late Sat/early Sun). I couldn't let him do that so I had to brave the roads for longer and go get him.

Hope, your morning sounds like a good one with on sale scrappy stuff and a free Frosty, but your afternoon sounds like the pits. I'm glad you were able to do all that driving in the icky white stuff and make it home safely.

I'm wondering if that rash is a viral infection.... it'll have to work its way thru his little system. Unfortunately w/ viral infections they just have to run their course, no meds other than tylenol to keep him comfortable and fever away will touch it..

We'll we are headed to KY in the next few.. just wanted to check in a say hi... I like my hair cut..but I don't do flat bangs..and it's taking time to get adjusted to... but it's NOT cool to have high bangs either..... it'll do.. I can still pull it up in ponytails and such so that is a blessing for me...


Hope: so sorry about the day and how it turned out... As for saying the dirty word, no naughty mat from me.. I would have said that and a little more if my day had included that turn of events!

Hey PBF... Small world!! How funny is that? Do you have family here still?

I'm a Delaware Transplant moved here for the job after college. I was a Jersey Girl till college. But that being said, I've lived here for longer than there. DH is a native, met him at the old General Hospital on night shift long long long time ago...

Honestly, it's a small state, but we don't go ANYWHERE that we don't meet someone from Delaware. Our first vaca at "home" the people who were in the next room were from Newark. We went on DCL and one of the excursions the captain of the ship in St Martin was a Smyrna native, he told us to say hi to his parents when we got home. When we were on our honeymoon, DH saw a girl he went to highschool with... It used to be weird, but now it's just funny to us...
