Another month bites the dust! So, y'all realize that this is the month before Christmas...right? Once Halloween is over, it's all down hill fast to the rest of the holidays, then it's the new year! Where did this year go? Why didn't I lose those lbs? Only another 2 months to keep that resolution


My list for today:

Start hemming the curtains

Good morning! Happy Monday, everyone! Ok, because I have to have a countdown--10 working days until I'm off for 3 weeks with DS due to mom's surgery!

Deb, you're so right! It is a FASSST downhill slide from here on out. I laughed at your lbs comment--I had the same conversation with DH last night! Gotta get to it--or at least keep any extra off before Jan 1st!

Here's my list for today:

2. Caffeinate--didn't sleep well last night, gotta get going!
3. Pack lunches
4. Empty dishwasher
5. Clean DH's bathroom
6. DS's stuff together
7. My stuff together
8. Layout 2 pages

Deb, I sure didn't need that reminder!!! I'm not ready for holidays!!! I need to get through DS's 18th birthday first. He's getting a 10 day celebration of it starting this weekend when all the family will be coming up to party with him and see his play and then all stay overnight at my house eek: where will they all sleep?). Then, next week we go to WDW for 4 days to celebrate and then we'll have his actual birthday! Whew!

My day:

Finish up last of signs for my scrapbook class and take to work

Work - hopefully me and another gal get to make holiday display pieces all day today. That's what we were told we'd be doing, but you never know until you get there! My fingers are crossed because I'd much rather to that than unload the huge Christmas packed truck that's coming in this morning.

Stop at Publix and see if I can order the cake DS wants for his birthday. It's one of their speciality cakes and I haven't seen it again since we had it last year for his birthday - it's a peach & strawberry explosion cake with peaches & strawberries in the frosting inbetween the white cake layers and then tons of fruit on top of the cake and almonds covering the sides. That's what he wants and I just hope it's something I can order! Another fingers crossed event for today!

L had an awesome meet yesterday!! I didn't get to see Pam (pjilla) by the time I heard my phone we were headed out the door. He took 2 secs off of his brreaststoke time and 1/2 a sec off his backstroke one. He survived his first 100 not the best time but he knows what he needs to do now.

Brooke I love the countdown! mine normally scare me like the thought that I have 40 some odd days till Tom's 40th surprise party ( a week before xmas) and the week before that E turns 10! so I like your's much better.

Good morning!

I'm feeling the Christmas panic! I have to start shopping-want to get at least half done before our trip, and this week I'll start bringing out the decorations. We leave for Disney on the 18th and don't get home until the Sat. after Thanksgiving, so I want most of it to be done so when we get home all we have to do is get our live tree. We go a little crazy around here-kids have their own trees in their rooms, I have an 8 ft. Disney tree, lights all over the house, etc...time to get started!!

Can't believe its November either
will be here soon!
I have already started shopping, probably 1/3 done, going tomorrow to mall to pick up TS3 and couple other Disney things for Megan, did a bunch of on-line ordering and should be here this week.
I'm doing xmas here, will be the first time to have the family at my house for xmas, we always came up to my mom's since Megan was born! we always decorate the weekend of Thanksgiving, my DB and his family will be cming up and hopefully he will help me get all the boxes out of the garage and up the stairs. we do 2 trees, Megan's in her room and mine in living room, at least only have my small balcony to decorate outside this year!
Hope everyone had a fun Halloween, we lucked out and it didn't rain, but it sure is this morning.

Okay, most of my shopping is already finished (Rachel & I went to Disneyland in August, and we bought Sarah a puppy in July, and Robert and I got a Thomas Kinkade Beauty & the Beast painting on Saturday so the immediate family is definately finished except a couple small things).

I'm hoping to convince everyone else to donate to the food bamk or project Angel Heart in lieu of gifts for each other this year.

We are also doing a smaller Christmas this year.... these kids get what they need when they need it or if we find it.... so we were discussing going smaller this weekend.... plus DsS19 is done.. we paid 1/2 of his frat fees because he didn't have them... (wasn't in the plans but Dad and I decided that if he wanted it; it would be his Christmas early)... getting DsS16 a few g. cards because he is being a stick in the mud..no need to stress myself out trying to please someone who can't be! Taking the diplomatic approach with that one!


As for my list today.. it got shot to heck in a hand basket so I'm playing it by ear!

I'm cutting back this year too! told my family not to buy me anything and donate to the orphange that I'm involved with that is getting built in Haiti by another family who lost their daughter there.

Plus we are going to fly down to Modesto after xmas to see our friends , so that will be a big treat for us.

Almost done with Megan, just need mostly little stuff.
