~The Daily Grind~ 1/28/10

I went in to see Chelle this morning and I saw her briefly open her eyes!
Then before I left I went in to see her again
I said her name, she opened her eyes and looked right at me!:yay:
They are now trying longer periods of keeping out of sedation and they took her off another med!
Im sure its just because of the emotional strain but I feel exhausted!:goodvibes

Jennifer, pixie dust and wishes to your niece for a safe and healthy delivery!

To all who have those headaches, I hope you all feel better soon!:flower3:

Oprah once coined the phrase "the new normal", thank you all for listening to my new normal and my new normal list!

Oh, Rita, I hope she's turning the corner toward getting better.

No news on Baby S yet. I'm going crazy wondering what's going on, I can't imagine what my niece and sister are going through!

WOOHOO!!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo: Let's hope she keeps making improvements.

Yay for good news on the Arizona front! :woohoo:

there once was a search engine named Google........
no one knew the oo was pronounced like Bugle.
It's now the best thing since sliced bread......
Google told me the flag for China is red.
If you want to know more
you can't go to a store
you have to search the World Wide Web.

would I pass?? :rotfl2:

Yes. Sadly, today was a poetry slam... and I wish I could have slammed everyone - nothing was very good. Lou's was actually pretty good, some of his lines were downright Seussical, but the teacher said "I think I liked the lines that were your own words more." Lou was like "Most of them were.. the ones that weren't were poetic already, since they were by a poet, and I wanted to showcase them"

I am not a fan of this guy.

And my poem was pretty bad... but he was like "oh, great job!" Yeesh.

AR- That's great news! Continued good thoughts P&PD :wizard: going her way!!

We ended up with a big wind today, but it felt suprisingly mild walking to the parking lot. We are in for the deep freeze coming over the next few days. I am SO ready for spring!!

Sounds like a complete Schmuck!!

Now stay home for the rest of the day and tell Mama to get home too. the roads are supposed to get really really bad there. I need my peeps home safe and sound!!!

I plan on taking Morgan in to see her on Saturday morning (they are in Boston, Betsy had cancer so I think she needed a specialist) to see her. I can't wait!

My Mom's husband has a brain scan appt at MA General Saturday so Mom will be up there too around 11. I can't wait to see pics of Baby Imelda!

Rita, how terrific that Michelle opened her eyes when you spoke her name. No wonder you are exhausted, the emotional stress must have been a strain on you this week.

Brook, give yourself some TLC time until you are 100%.

Roads were fine coming home tonight even though it snowed all day. It wasn't until the temps dropped that it started to ice over.

My to do list today went like:

Wood in the woodstove
Feed kitty :cat:
Clean stinky pete box
load of darks into the wash in the am, put into the dryer when home from wor
Get DD up and ready for school
caffeinate
Work
Check on how Mom feels, her COPD was acting up again.
Haircut (and color)
Oversee tubby time

I'm not sure which hospital she's in, I'll have to find out and go find MomE if it's the same one :)

Buffy let me get the sander out of the truck and I'll be down around abt tomorrow am :lmao::lmao:.

Windy and the white stuff finally hit here with such force First I had trouble keeping the truck on the road then seeing the road. L's like mom you're on the yellow line No kidding kiddo it was the only way to tell I was in the road.:rotfl:

I'm curling up with a good book, my down comforter and my dog and enjoying a nice night in since I had to run the kiddo, course I wasn't about to trade cleaning the chiminey for doing the run. at 1 point there was a 3lb hammer, a crowbar, and 25' of rope all lost in the chiminey:scared1::scared1: I didn't even ask just put on the jacket and left. guess it involved chain falls and the lally column in the basement to retrive the hammer.
