My son is going on 19 months and is 31+ lbs at this point. He slept fairly well in the various hotel cribs we used a few weeks ago on another trip. I'm assuming the WDW hotel cribs are decent? We can bring our playpen but I don't think it is as comfortable for him as the cribs were.

Do they come with bumpers? sheets and pillow?

Thanks!

At the ASSp we were given a Pack n Play with sheets. Worked fine for my DS (22mos), but he sleeps in one occassionally at his Nana's place and doesn't mind.

Gnerally they are Pack and plays. At some of the resorts they ahve full cribs on request, They are the metal type--like a hospital would have. No bumpers, the sheet is not fitted (it is for the Pack and plays). You could certainly ask for an extra pillow from housekeeping, but it will be standard size, not a crib pillow.

if you want a full sized crib with all the works, there are a couple of local places that rent them. I don't have any referal for you, I'm sure someone else will.

If you want a full size crib, I would rent one. The resorts all have pak-n -plays. We are planning on using this company. I have heard alot of good things about them. The price includes everything...sheets, bumpers, set up and take down also.

So the hotel cribs are what I call playpens? The the mesh sides and the bottom being low to the ground? We were in 4 different hotels on our last trip and all of the "cribs" we got were like smaller versions of a full size crib. These were typical hotels (Sheraton, Amerisuites, etc). Guess I might rent a regular crib in that case.

Thanks to everyone for their info!:D

We requested and got a full size from both Poly and AKL. It was the metal type as pointed out but certainly better than a pack and play. Also when we rented an offsite villa we used a wonderful service that provided a full size crib with all nice bedding. i think the site is ABBF.com ( A baby's best friend). They also rent out other items as well. We rented a bucket of toys for I think 15.00 that was the hit of the trip. What a pleasure not to have to lug toys in luggage.

On our Sept trip last year we stayed at the YC and we had the metal crib in our room. Its a crib not a pak n play. Our youngest was 5 months old at the time and he slept great in it.

If you ask about a crib at check-in, the front desk will tell you "there's already a Pack-n-Play in the room." I guess most folks just say "OK" and assume that's what they're to use. I said "No, I want a CRIB, not a playpen" and they brought up one of the metal cribs. Ours did have a bumper and fitted sheet, and I think I remember there also being a flat sheet folded in it to use to cover, but we'd brought our own blanket/sheet to wrap DD in, so we didn't use that.

In short, don't hesitate to ask/insist!

We just got back today. The best investment we made was renting a full size crib from Baby's Best Friend. It cost $69.55 for seven nights including tax. They set up and take down the crib for you. It comes complete with bumper pads, sheet, and comforter. The crib was there and ready for us when we checked into our room. It was a new crib that had only been used twice before us. We brought a few blankets and things from home for our daughter; and we got a great nights sleep every night. Check out their website at www.abbf.com.

Good Luck and enjoy your trip!
