I'm getting pretty brave, too! When I went out on the porch, he was slithering up one of my palm trees (a little tree, only about 4 ft high). I did a double take cause I didn't remember a black branch on the tree. Once I saw him, I ran for my camera. Came back and he was gone!

So I hunted him down, and he was sunning himself in the mulch. Seriously, I don't like knowing that these things are so close to my house!!!! But as soon as I saw him heading away from the porch, I got brave and opened the door to snap pics. Stupid Mr NoShoulders, should be Mr SeparatedfromhisShoulders if my big brave husband wasn't such a chickenhead!!!!

Oh, and he kept looking at me. Seriously. Every time I moved, he lifted his head and followed me. Then stuck his tongue out. So I stuck mine out. And blew raspberries at him. So there! I win!:woohoo:

:scared1:

I had a huge spider yesterday in my bedroom. And when I say huge, I mean the size of my hand. Pics are on my TR if you want to see them, but I get scared each time I look at them.

We left off with puppy tummy and needing a nice long stroll around the WS.

We hung a right and ventured into the Japanese pavilion after stopping to watch the drum beaters outside. I don't know what they were called, but they were very animated! As we wandered through the shops in Japan, I found these little "good luck" amulets that I thought would make great gifts for the 7 gals in Jeff's office. And they were a lot cheaper than the shot glasses (I mean "toothpick holders") that were all over Disney!

He said, "Nah, we can always come back later." Remember these words....

Right after Jeff said that, he started laughing and pointed at something hanging on a rack. His comment to me, "I think Disney might want to rethink their packaging," made me turn to look at what he was talking about. Not only did I start the quiet giggle, but I actually excused myself to some folks who were standing in the way of my picture..... of this.....

Epcot-Japan-1.jpg

Now to answer your question, I have absolutely no idea what it is, but I know what it looks like! Jeff said that while I was taking the picture, several people saw what I saw, and started laughing. Glad I could provide some entertainment for the patrons of the Japanese pavillion that day! :thumbsup2

So out of Japan we go, and into the American Adventure. I think this is the first time we didn't stop for the show, and I hate that I missed it. But we were in a wandering mood.

On into Italy, where Jeff found a cologne that he really liked. Very light and fresh scented, and I usually don't like cologne on him. And at $100/bottle, I decided I didn't like this one either!!! :rotfl2: I did grab a card though and I'm gonna look for it online for Christmas.

Epcot-WSItaly.jpg

Next stop Germany, and a couple of ice cold German brews! Ahhhh!
17.gif

Love this pavillion!

Epcot-WSGermany1.jpg

Epcot-WSGermany3.jpg

Epcot-WSGermany2.jpg

Moved quickly through China, and into Norway. The last time I was here I smelled a wonderful fragrance here that I loved. So I splurged and bought it this time. It's called Laila - the Essence of Norway. So "essentially" I guess I'm Norwegian now!

Right into Mexico and well, I'd say it's about time for another brewski! So that'll be 2 Dos Equis, or make that dos Dos Equis please!

From here we ventured into Future World and grabbed fast passes for Test Track.

Then Jeff drug me off toward Mission Space. I seriously didn't want to ride this. I was terrified. Not of the ride. Of dying on the ride. I don't do well with spinning, but Jeff kept saying, "you'll be fine!" So I threw a little tantrum and convinced him to go on the green version. When we got off he said it had a little more effects than he thought it would, but that I still needed to go on the orange version. Yeah. Sure. Uh, NO!

So I halfway fulfilled my end of the deal, since he rode Dinosaur at AK. Speaking of dinosaurs, we hadn't seen Ellen and the Universe of Energy since 2006, so we grabbed spots on the floor right before the preshow started. FYI, there maybe only 20-30 people on the floor. Everyone else had seats or spots along the wall. That's how low the crowds were this day....

Love me some Ellen - she just makes me laugh!

Man, I smell good since I sprayed a healthy dose of Laila on a couple of minutes ago! But I digress....

After riding Universe of Energy, it was already time for our Test Track FPs. Fun ride - but have any of you noticed how you get to know exactly where and when they take your photo on some of these "thrill" rides, and then make faces right when you see the flash? Well, Jeff and I both did that this time, and I feel bad for anyone else in the car with us who might have wanted to buy the photo!!! We put on these cheezy grins and about fell out laughing when we saw the picture!!!

We checked out the time and figured we might want to start heading back toward France for our 6:00 ADR.

We headed toward the Canadian entrance of WS, and for the first time ever, we actually entered the pavillion (and not Le Cellier this time!).

The gift shop was all locked up, could not for the life of us find a door that was open, yet we saw people inside. So I snapped a couple of pics while I was there and Jeff was about to get hauled off by the Mounties for breaking and entering....

Epcot-WSCanada2.jpg

Epcot-WSCanada1.jpg

As we made our way through the UK, Jeff had the BRILLIANT idea that we needed a couple o pints o ale. Now why is it that every time I go up to the ale kiosk in the UK of Disney, I always feel the need to order with a pathetic British accent??? :confused3 I can't control myself. And of course Jeff can't control his rolling eyes when I do this! :sad2:

So since about noon, we have taken our time through all of the WS, and also ridden 3 big attractions in Future World. Not too bad, and it's only 6:00. Time for our dinner at Le Chefs de France. I'm soooo looking forward to the "man candy" I've been promised by other DISers. :cool1:

Epcot-WSLeChefsdeFrance.jpg

I'll check in later with lots of pics of dinner and a little after dinner MoRockin!

My thoughts exactly!

:scared1:

I had a huge spider yesterday in my bedroom. And when I say huge, I mean the size of my hand. Pics are on my TR if you want to see them, but I get scared each time I look at them.

I saw that!!! That's not a spider, it's something out of Jurassic Park!

Okay I am not reading your trip report if yhou put anymore crawling creatures in it. :lmao: YUCK!!!!

Sorry! I'll try to warn you next time...... You think they're bad in pictures, imagine walking up and seeing it about 2 feet away!!!!:scared1:

OMG Kara:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

:rotfl2: OMG - that is hilarious! I'm still chuckling as I'm typing this. I think it made my day....

I had a full out belly laugh that woke the dogs up:dog: :dog: Thank goodness I had set my water glass on the table before reading.

And let me tell you, I am loving all of the drinking that's going on in this TR! :thumbsup2

:drinking1 I agree:drinking1

DH and I plan to Drink around the World when we are down in December. Hope it will be warm enough for Margaritas and Slushies:banana:

My jealousy just continues to grow about this trip! Not only are there ALONE with your husband, the crowds are almost non-existent! I am convinced this is when we are going next year!

Your pics are great (and a few are hilarious!). Keep them coming!

We got to Le Chefs de France a little before 6, and they got us in right away. Seated us in the atrium area and we sat. And waited. And waited. And I was thirsty!!!

Finally our server came up - Claudia. Not Jacque, or some other fine young French man. Claudia. Jeff's eyes lit up. He was a happy man. Stupid France.

Claudia was clueless though. But Jeff kept trying to convince me she was hot for him. Yeah. Right. :lmao:

They brought out some hard bread, with hard butter, and it just didn't work for me. C'mon, this is supposed to be French food, aren't they known for their bakeries? Disappointed so far.

I think Jeff ordered a Kronenburg beer to add to his WS drinks, and I got a glass of Merlot.

We're kinda boring but we both ordered the same entree - Filet de boeuf grille, sauce au poivre noir Gratin Dauphinois et haricots verts - Grilled tenderloin of beef with a black pepper sauce original potato gratin of Savoy and green beans. Yeah, I copied and pasted that whole bit! :lmao:

Epcot-Lechefsdinner2.jpg

My filet was cooked perfectly, as was Jeff's. The black pepper sauce was really good, and I'm always a fan of haricots verts. Green beans. But I like saying it the french way!

So the bread issue was forgotten.

Then there was the dessert issue. Now seriously, let's think of French pastries. :cloud9: right? WRONG!!! These were obviously premade and refrigerated, then heated right before serving. Extremely disappointed!

I got the creme brulee - or as I like to call it "cream bruly" :rotfl2: especially when Claudia was in earshot. It was cold. Like they pulled it out of the fridge and then took a torch to the top.

Epcot-LechefsKarasdessert.jpg

Jeff got the Profiterolles au chocolat - Puff choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Or as we like to call it, the "poof choo." And yes, Claudia did hear that and Jeff turned 5 shades of red! He was now afraid that she didn't want his room key after all - I told him no worries, I would gladly give him the 2 minutes alone with her - that's all he'd need! :rotfl2:

FYI - I'm TOTALLY kidding!!! We joke about this but would NEVER do it! Just wanted to clear that up.

So, here's his poof choo!

Epcot-LechefsJeffsdessert.jpg

Turned out to be a crepe with Del Monte cinnamon applesauce in there. Or at least that's what it tasted like.

All in all, I would NOT recommend Chefs de France. After having the desserts at Raglan Road, a restaurant that is NOT even Disney owned, and seeing how their desserts were freshly made (sweet Pedro even told us that desserts were taking longer because they were all hand prepared), and a Disney restaurant that is supposed to represent the country of France sent out premade desserts that were average at best. And in the case of my creme brulee, one of the worst I've had.

We did enjoy the filets, however, so we left with puppy tummies again.

It's only about 7pm right now so time to roam the WS some more before Illuminations.

Epcot-WS7.jpg

Epcot-WS5.jpg

Epcot-WS6.jpg

Stopped in Morocco for some Moroccan beer. Can you believe they were out? So I guess American Bud Light will suffice, and that qualifies as our American drink around the world. :thumbsup2

Just when we got our drinks, we see a band getting set up, so we sit down to watch MoRockin for a few minutes.

Epcot-MoRockin2.jpg

Epcot-MoRockin3.jpg

Epcot-MoRockin7.jpg

After watching a few minutes of MoRockin we decided to start looking for a spot for Illuminations. When we were here in May, my SIL planted herself down right in front of Future World and it was TERRIBLE viewing with trees and lights in the way. We didn't worry about it though because we've seen Illuminations many times and knew we'd be back. So this time we weren't too worried either. So we didn't scout it out and we didn't plant ourselves an hour early.

And then about 10 minutes before the start, we were on the hunt for Canadian beer, when we found a second row spot right between Oh! Canada and the UK. We were able to lean back on a rail, and it was actually perfect spot for viewing!

Just for the record, the line for a Moosehead was forever long, so we just filled our water bottles and enjoyed Illuminations.

As we were swimming upstream to get to the IG to head back to YC after Illuminations, I started to reflect on the whole meaning of the show. I got a little choked up when I thought about it and when I tried to explain my feelings to Jeff, I couldn't get it out, and he did was any supportive, loving husband would do. He laughed at me.

He also laughs at me whenever I enter the Magic Kingdom and cry the first time I see the castle walking up Main St. Well, the castle isn't walking, that would be ME walking up Main St. Cause everyone knows the castle can't move. It just changes clothes from time to time.... :rolleyes1

When we got back to YC, and made the quest to the summit called room 1054, I checked my pedometer. Can we say 22K steps??? The most we ever took during our trip in May was 19K. No wonder my dogs were barking!

And <gasp!!!> I got my first blister in Disney World!!! From my beloved Crocs! What is up with that???

And guess who decided to pack light for this trip, and that means no bandaids - cause we all know how a couple of bandaids can weigh down a bag!!!

OK, so to recap so far.

UK - a pint o ale (with the accent!)
France - slushies and wine
Morocco - American beer
Germany - a stein of beer, minus the stein cause I didn't want to carry around a $7.00 dust collector.
Mexico - Dos Equis beer

OH, yeah, we also ate some food, rode some rides and saw some fireworks....

Up next, MGM/Hollywood Studios, or whatever you want to call it.... and dinner at Tutto Italia - what do you mean "Epcot again???" Heck yeah!

Looks like you had incredible weather ... Carolina blue skies:laughing:

Sorry to hear dinner at France was disappointing. We have had lunch there the last few trips and it was good.:confused3

Looking forward to morepopcorn::

Kara - I haven't read - just scanning pictures. LOVE THEM. I'm so envious of your solo trip with Jeff. I hope I get to do that someday. Looks like heaven!

ACK! I can't believe I missed so many updates!

Thoughts........

That picture you took from EE - yeah, thanks for that! You've now convinced me NOT to try that ride! I didn't realize it was that high!:scared:

Toy in Japan - you're a dirty girl!:lmao:

Loved your pix of the slushies from France but it's a Grey Goose Citron slushie, not Absolut. Keep your alcohol straight, woman!

Desserts in France - Sorry you were so disappointed but I have to tell you -- I think they do make them on the premises (or some of them). When Lauren and I ate there in June, we were seated in the back, across from a long counter where two very adorable French boys stood behind all night and made desserts. But I do agree with you though - Raglan Road's were better. I still did enjoy Chefs.

Illuminations - My favorite! I cry EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! And, at Christmas time, when they do the extended Illuminations - I'm bawling! (Lauren laughs!)

We DID have beautiful weather!!! The first afternoon and evening looked like rain, but the only time we got wet was from Stitch at DTD. And we had a wonderful breeze both Wednesday and Thursday. Now on Friday, somebody turned on the heat. It did get hot but it wasn't unbearable.

Kara - I haven't read - just scanning pictures. LOVE THEM. I'm so envious of your solo trip with Jeff. I hope I get to do that someday. Looks like heaven!

What do you mean you're not reading????? I'm even using a thesaurus for this report!!! :rotfl2:

C'mon Cammie, don't make me do this!

Toy in Japan - you're a dirty girl!:lmao:

You know you would have noticed it too!!! And I didn't even notice the hand behind it until I posted the pic!!! :rotfl2:

Loved your pix of the slushies from France but it's a Grey Goose Citron slushie, not Absolut. Keep your alcohol straight, woman!

I am truly ashamed of myself.

I knew that too. Don't know why I said Absolute. Maybe cause it was ABSOLUTELY awesome!!!

But I do agree with you though - Raglan Road's were better. I still did enjoy Chefs.

That creme brulee was just nasty though! And even Jeff's poof choo tasted like it was prepackaged in a plant somewhere, shipped to Epcot and stored in the freezer until they thawed it out for us.

Illuminations - My favorite! I cry EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! And, at Christmas time, when they do the extended Illuminations - I'm bawling! (Lauren laughs!)

I have a hard time at any Disney park during fireworks. Magic Kingdom, with the castle for a backdrop, just tears me up. And then it's over, and we have to walk back down Main St. Maybe that's why I cry. Cause I know I'm stuck in people traffic with no way out. Nah, it's the fireworks. It's the magic.

Up on Friday bright and early with no alarm clock. This internal alarm clock really bugs me on vacay!

We decided to head to Hollywood Studios/MGM. I really wanted to ride Toy Story Mania, and of course Tower of Terror. So off we go.

Geez, can't they add a people mover through the halls of YC??? Have I mentioned the halls are loooooong! :rotfl:

But first a quick stop at the gift shop. I need a t-shirt from YC, cause they're so cute and nautical, and $35!!! Nah, don't need a t-shirt that bad. But we start chatting up the CM there and start talking pins.

Now Jeff and I became pin trading geeks on this trip. So the CM tells me that at 9am they put out a pin board for trading. Well since it's only 8:45, and we have no need to get to any rope drops this trip, we'll just walk around a bit - cause we don't do enough walking in the parks.....

We are mostly just collecting the CM pins and trying to complete diffrent sets. We had fun doing it, but spent way too much money on pins for trading this trip. Way more than my t-shirt, that is still hanging on a rack in the YC gift shop... :rolleyes1

So once we do a little trading, we're off to catch the boat to MGM. I know it's now Hollywood Studios, but it's still MGM to me. Deal with it.

Have I mentioned how cool it is that we've now hit 3 parks and only taken one bus? Have I mentioned how awesome is the location of YC? Consider it mentioned. Again.

After a quick stop and the Swan and Mahi Mahi, we could see the park in the distance!

I really like MGM. Each time I'm here, I think I like it a little more. But it can't be experienced in a day. Not if you want to enjoy it. I guess it could be done... theoretically (there's my thesaurus word for today), but it would be way too stressful to try to see it all.

So once we got inside the gates, we headed straight for TSM - now it's only about 10am by now, and already the fast passes are for 2:10! We didn't plan on staying that late!!!

We are starving so we head to Starring Rolls for a little breakfast with our snack credits. The place is packed to the gills (Nemo reference) and only one cashier. Seriously, we waited about 30 minutes, then had to sit on a wall to eat. Looked like everyone was waiting for their TSM fast passes to come up!!!

After we finished our breakfast, we wandered down toward ToT and RnRC, but we made our way through all the shops, looking for pins. This is where Jeff decided to start humming the theme to Mission Impossible every time he spotted a CM wearing a lanyard. Needless to say, it got old after about, oh, 10 minutes. But it lasted the rest of the trip!

We stopped at the DVC booth to chat with the CM who was wearing and Ohio State Buckeyes pin - as I discreetly perused (another thesaurus word for the day) the literature. Jeff knew what I was up to so he quickly made his trade and grabbed me by the arm and punted me right down the street.

That's how afraid he is of DVC. He knows that if he stops and actually talks to someone about it, or takes a tour, he's sold. He'll be writing a check and offering a second blank check just in case the ink fades on the first one. That's how much a sucker he is for Disney, but he won't admit it.

After I picked myself up off the pavement, and longingly looked back over my shoulder at the DVC booth, Jeff was halfway to ToT. The standby line was only 20 minutes, but once we got into line, it wasn't moving. Looks like they only had one side open, so we got out of line and worked our way over to RnRC.

The last time I rode this was in 2006 when we had to baby swap. I hated it. I couldn't catch my breath after the inital takeoff and I hated it. Yet here I was in line again. I just wasn't going to get worked up over it this time. It would be different cause I was riding with Jeff. Not some hunky stranger sitting next to me. Not that I noticed him. At all.

So I tried to focus on everything except my impending death at the hands of Aerosmith. And I was doing a great job. Until the CM directed us to "Row 1." Say what??? :scared1:

Since I've already made a short story long, let's suffice it to say that I loved it this time!!! I forced myself to breathe as soon as I was shot out of the cannon, and I sang along with Steven Tyler the whole way. Loved loved loved it!!!!

By now it's only like 11:30 and we still have nearly 3 hours until our fast pass time! So we head off to lunch. We decided to go to the ABC Commisary, on the other side of the park, take a look at the menu, and high tail it out of there. We ended up at the Backlot Express. No food porn here. Just sandwiches and burgers. Nothing to write home about, which explains why none of you received letters from me on this day....

We ate a loooong lunch. Kept checking our watches, and finally ventured all the way back to ToT. Grabbed fast passes for that, then just wandered around some more. More pin trading. More Mission Impossible. More punting me past the DVC counter.

I can't even begin to tell you how much back tracking we did today. But we just weren't feeling any of the attractions today. So we watched street performers. And watched people.

Have any of you ever noticed that Disney is basically the Happiest Wal-Mart on Earth? You know how you go to Wal-mart, but while you're there you don't see anyone else like you? You know that everyone shops there, but it seems like you're the only "normal" one in the store while you're there.

Yeah. The same crowd was at Disney last week. So we decided to sit on a bench and find the best fashion statement we could find.

Sadly, I did not take photos of these.

Goth girl in the shortest of short skin tight denim dress, with a slit up to, well, you know where. And stilletos. Naturally. Cause that is perfect park footwear.

Middle aged mom wearing low rise jeans, with tight white tank top, and granny panties. So the panties were showing through the shirt. Vogue.

There were more. But I'll save them for later. I'm sure when I head to Walmart this week I'll be reminded....

Our Tower of Terror fast passes were about up now, and it's only a little after 1:00. So we took a quick tour of the Hollywood Hotel, lost our tummies, and finally began the trek toward TSM.

They have completely remodeled this whole area, and it looks great, but it is a bit congested....

DHS-TSM3.jpg

DHS-TSM2.jpg

DHS-TSM1.jpg

We literally stood around for about 20 minutes, waiting for our time to come up. As we made our way into the Fast Pass line, I heard a woman in front of us say to the CM, "Oh, I didn't realize...." and then she turned around and winked at her husband. Guess she thought she could use those later FPs at the wrong time. BUSTED!!!!

This was a FUN FUN FUN ride!!!! The queuing is great, and it totally lived up to the hype in my opinion.

Imagine Buzz Lightyear's Spaceranger Spin meets Donald's Philharmagic. It's an arcade type shoot em up, with all 3D graphics, and a few surprises thrown in for fun!

And, I whooped Jeff's butt, which made it even better! Can you say 95,000 to 90,000??? :woohoo:

FINALLY, we can go to our happy place again. Yes, Epcot!!!

So we rush to get to the front of the park, head toward the boat dock (cause we ain't takin no stinkin buses!!!!), and the boat is closing it's doors - Jeff grabs me and drags me in a full out sprint toward the boat. As I'm trying to keep up I hear the music from Chariots of Fire playing in the background. No, it was not in my head. It was seriously playing around the entrance gates. In fact, once I heard that I really think that I started running in slow motion. Seriously.

When I got down the ramp, I said to the CM, "How funny that Chariots of Fire music was playing as we were running." He looked at me like I had two heads. Maybe he was just in awe that I could actually run in slow motion. That must be it.

We were so antsy to get back to Epcot, cause we had a snack mission to complete, that we didn't even wait for the boat to take us all the way to the Epcot dock. We hopped out at BC/YC and walked over to the IG. Cause once again, we just didn't feel like we had walked enough in the parks....

In through the entrance, and off to grab a FP for Soarin. Yup, we'd been to Epcot already and hadn't ridden Soarin, what's up with that???

Time out, Ally's bleeding, back later....

I hope Ally's ok!!

You are just soooooo funny- I am lovin' your report!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Can't wait for more food porn!!!popcorn::

OK, that was fun. Thought we might be making our first trip to the ER for stitches. She cracked her head on the corner of the coffee table while playing with Bucky. Blood everywhere. OK, not really everywhere, but definitely a fair amount of blood in her hair, so that I couldn't even find the cut! But I've got ice on it now and she's fine.

OK, so where was I?

Aha! Soarin Fast Passes. So we grab them on our way to ride Nemo, and they are not until 7:30. It's about 3:00 right now, and we have an ADR at Tutto Italia at 8:00 so it's not lookin good for Soarin. Or is it?

We ride Nemo, then make our way back to WS on a bee line for Norway. I want some school bread!!!!!

So as we get into the bakery, I see these sweet pretzels that look awesome, but no! I came for school bread, and school bread I shall have. 2 numbers and a word. 2 DIE 4!

Epcot-WSSchoolBread2.jpg

Epcot-WSSchoolBread3.jpg

It was some sort of bread pastry, with cinnamon and coconut on the outside, and a vanilla creme inside. That's not a hunk of butter on top, it's the luscious creme from inside. OMG!!!

Well, of course, after we ate this big ole hunk of sugar, we needed some oats and barley to wash it down. Off through the WS until we came to Japan. I think a nice cold Kirin will do. By the way, if you go into the CS Yakitori House, the beers are about $1 cheaper than if you get them from the kiosk out front.

While we were in Japan, I asked Jeff again if he wanted to get those little amulets for his gals in the office. Nah, we can get them later.....

Off to check out the wait for Test Track, only about 30 minutes, and we just found out that this is an EMH evening at Epcot, so it's a bit more crowded, but not bad at all. We decide to head back to the resort for a little swim, and to meet my DISbud Debbie from Chicago!!!

I've also worn flip flops all day because of my blister. They're comfy flip flops and I wear them all summer, but my shins were killing me by this time!!!!

We get changed and head over to Cape May Cafe at the BC where my buddy is having dinner. I recognize her as soon as we walk into the lobby! How fun!!!!

2008_0920Bucky0122.jpg

2008_0920Bucky0123.jpg

Now this is only my second DISmeet and the first one that Jeff has seen, so he is relieved to know that Debbie is "normal" and I'm not chatting with some nutcase!

We had a quick 5 minutes to chat and then we were off to hit Stormalong Bay.

We had read so much about this pool that there was no way we would stay here and not give it a shot!

Here's a pic of the waterslide....

YCBCpoolslide.jpg

The only weird thing about this was that you had to leave the pool area to walk out across the boardwalk area to access the slide. I didn't like that at all, especially if you're trying to keep an eye on kids.

The slide was fun, and we LOVED the sandy bottom pool. And alas, we found the hot tub! About 10 minutes and we were ready to go get showered and head back to the park for dinner.

I felt so much better after I got cleaned up, and I splurged on bandaids so I could wear my crocs again. I just couldn't do any more flip flops with that much walking.

We got back to the park around 7ish and of course we walked through the WS. We took our time and got to Italy right around 8ish and headed back to Tutto Italia.

Epcot-WSTuttoItalia.jpg

Epcot-WSTuttomenu.jpg

We were seated right away in the main dining room....

Epcot-Tutto2inside.jpg

Epcot-Tuttoinside1.jpg

Epcot-Tuttoinside3.jpg

So pretty inside. It's one of those places that you know would look really cheesy in the bright light, but really nice with low lighting. That's not a bad thing, just an observation.

Our waiter was great! And of course we took his suggestion and ordered the same darn thing!!!

Off to pick up my car at the shop - be back with more later!!!

Glad that Ally is okay! Sounds like some All Star Puppy Wrestling that got out of hand:lmao:

I hear you on DVC. Took me two years to talk DH into our first contract (which is paid off:banana: ) ... and then he added on another 100 points as a birthday present the year he moved me to NC ... it was a peace offering:hippie:

Looking forward to your Tutto review. We had lunch there in June and loved it. We have our CP dinner there in December:santa:

Kara - Looking forward to the Tutto food porn! Glad to see you were seated in the main dining room; the last two times we have went (when it was still Alfredo's), we were seated in smaller side rooms - not as enjoyable!

I'm gonna get me some school bread when I'm there in Nov.!:lovestruc Never have had it before but have seen enough pictures on this board to know I'll probably love it!

Meant to mention earlier - I always get a bottle of Laila from Norway when we're in Disney. It's my favorite perfume and when I wear it, the girls say I smell like Disney!

So sorry for the abrupt ending last night. My car has been in the shop for over a week and we needed to get it picked up by 6:30 last night. I totally lost track of time - happens when you get old, I guess.... :rolleyes1

OK, back to Tutto food porn!

Our server was great, and Jeff and I were so accomodating. I ordered a glass of chardonnay, but the server recommended the little caraffe, which was really 2 glasses, so I said "Sure!!!" Jeff ordered a French beer since he'd had several beers throughout the day. Me? I like to live dangerously. I guess "Danger" is my middle name. :rotfl2:

We saw a plate of calamari delivered to the table next to us and just knew we had to have it.

Sooooo good! The marinara was really spicy but had a great flavor - it wasn't just Ragu in a cup like you might get at Olive Garden.

This was probably the best calamari I'd ever had. Not too chewy - cause I've had some chewy squid in my day, and it is nasty!

Then the bread came, with a few different varieties - waaaaay better than the single rock we got in France!

We took our server's recommendation for dinner, and ordered the Tagliolini con Granchio, Pomodorini Alle Erbe - tagliolini pasta topped with crabmeat, sweet tomato and garlic. Our server told us that when in Italy, you must order pasta, because you can get fish or steak anywhere. This was homemade pasta with crabmeat and a light sauce. I almost forgot to take a photo so I had already mixed in the crab by now....

This was very tasty and not too heavy either. Well, it wouldn't have been too heavy if we hadn't eaten a plate of calamari, and all the bread!!!!

For dessert Jeff ordered the Profiteroles...

This was soooo good! But I wanted to try something different, so I did NOT go with our server's recommendation. I ordered the Gianduja - Chocolate Torta - chocolate and hazelnut torte with whipped cream and raspberry sauce - and really didn't care for it. I'm a sucker for hazelnut which is why I ordered this. But the cake itself tasted like pure cocoa and I didn't eat much of it.

This was a fantastic dinner! At first Jeff didn't want to try it, because there are Italian restaurants all over the place. But I think it was our favorite of this trip! Raglan Road was a very close second, and that's another one Jeff was against. Just goes to show that women really DO know best! You heard me, now I'm roaring.

We rolled out right around 9:00 as we heard the first burst of Illuminations. Since we were all the way back in the World Showcase, and this was an EMH evening at Epcot, we decided to race back to Future World to hit some attractions as the rest of the guests were enjoying Illuminations.

We did pretty well but hit a blockade in Mexico. Must have been a border patrol checkpoint, I don't know. But we didn't navigate very well.

Finally made it to FW and went straight to Soarin to use our Fast Passes we had picked up earlier in the day. I was a little worried because all the fast passes were gone for the day, and there weren't many people going through the fast pass line, so when I showed the CM my tickets and she ushered us through, I was thrilled.

This was the first time we had used our FPs waaaaaay after they expired, but no problem!!!

We did have to show our room key every time we got in line for something after 9pm.

After Soarin, we went over to Test Track and some man handed us two fast passes that were good in about 5 minutes. Woo hoo! So on we went for another pass.

Jeff was still determined to get me on the Mission Space orange, but I was so against it. Luckily the wait was 20 minutes - I know, not long at all, but way too long for me!

With all our running around back and forth, we ended up leaving Epcot around 11ish this night, I think the latest we've ever stayed at a park, not counting Pirate & Princess Party back in March.

It was lots of fun and I logged over 30,000 steps on my pedometer today!!!

Oh, and forgot to mention that for the first time EVER I found Club Cook and did what every loving wife does for her husband. I told him that I heard the Beverly was soooo good! Yeah, he took a big ole swig and I should have had the camera at the ready for that face!!! Of course I told him I knew about it. Hey, I wanted credit for my actions!

Up next, Magic Kingdom and our last day!!!

Well, Ally has surgery today at 2pm but we need to be at the hospital by noon, so I'd better go get ready. She's just having an ear tube removed that has embedded itself in her ear and won't fall our on its own. Should be a 10-15 minute procedure so we should be home by dinner time.

I just hate the anesthesia part of it, and she did NOT wake up well when she had the tubes put in, plus her tonsils and adenoids removed, back in 2005. She was so disoriented and just flat out terrified when we first saw her after the surgery. So I need to talk with the anesthesiologist today before she goes in.

I'm sure she'll be fine though, and I"ll touch base later!
