So we are down to 75 days. Now I can start planning.


WHO:
15 people: 3 - very excited mothers ( all 30ish)
3 - go with the flow fathers
2 - 12yo boys
2 - 11yos 1 girl 1 boy
2 - 10 yos 1girl 1 boy
1 - 9yo girl
1 - 7yo boy
1 - 6yo girl

WHEN:
Easter 09 - 11 days

WHY:

Its disney people Y ask Y???

Things to do:

House to fit everyone --- Check, 7br FGE
Flight --- Check, Direct bonus ( DSis not so lucky full day over night travel)
Tickets ---- ?
Passports ---4 of my 5 Mine had issue (needed a new Birth certificate), Bro's 5, Sis Needs 5
Rental Cars --- ?


This is MY 3 prince Charmings first Real Vaca. First ever trip to Disney..... They are way excited as I am for them. (Maybe for me too). This is also the first trip to WDW for Sis. family also.

I am the OCD planner so I am planning everything for WDW, but we are great at changing last minute. So here we go.

First question------What bag do we take to the parks??? There are several threads on this... Then my sister asks "Can we take a bag on the rides?" To which I don't know the answer... anyone? I think I am buying one of these across the chest sling bags to carry Water, snacks, sunscreen (DS 11 has extreme skin sensitivity) tickets, money, camera, video cam. etc. I am thinking about buying a pink one so upon return It will still be mine. ALthough I am hoping DH will carry it like he did when we went in 92.

When we arrive where is the closest Wall-e-mart? We need essentials.

OK enough of the pre planning on to the meat of the trip:

So I am planning day 1, Arrival day. Sat. Apr. 11

DSis and fam get in around 1, the rest of us arrive at 4. So we hit the rental cars, then walmart then on to the castle we will call home for 11 days.

Settle in--- kids can swim---adults decide on supper then off to MK.

----My plan is we head to MK, try to ride everything in tomorrowland and watch Spectro at 11:00. As my youngest is 10 the late night won't be a big deal. ( I tried to book ADR for Whispering Canyon but no luck) probably for the best.

Home, freeze a couple of water bottles, pack snacks, etc.
Get ready for the Easter Bunny


Day 2

Easter Egg hunt followed by breakfast.

Pack up for the day and head to AK, ( be there bfor rope drop)This is a list of the rides and FP we would like to do:

EE, Kili. Safari, Kali river rapids, Primeval Whirl, We have all day but these are the ones I would like to do or get FP's for before 11:00 Am.

Lunch will be something quick, just a place to sit and rest.

After an exhausting day we head back to our castle for a swim and supper and hopefully early to bed.

Well thats as far as I have planned well OK I have an idea as to what park we will do each day. We are not getting hoppers cause we are not staying on site so we will be less likely to do more than one park per day.

So please feel free to give me any and all suggestions and criticisms of my plan, I am a real newbie so any help is welcome...

Hi! It looks like you will be there the same time as us. I just booked our trip today for April 12-17. We will be staying at Pop Century. This is our 3rd trip and the first at Easter. I am so not looking forward to the crowds, but I can't take my son out of school for another vacation (we were just there the week of Halloween). I have not tried to make any ADRs yet as we have the Quick Service Dining Plan, but I am thinking of maybe trying the T-Rex Restaurant.

I have a Baggallini bag that I use and I love it. My son had one also. We took them on all of the rides and had no problem.

So I will continue with what I think is a good Plan:

Starting with the morning packing of snacks:
including Granola Bars, Water bottles, thinsations, yougart tubes,...

Today is a toss up, not sure if we should do Universal Studios (the boys really want to try the Simpsons ride, I am really diappointed that Back to the Future is gone). Or If we should do Epcot.

I originally planned on Epcot to hit Soarin, Test track, Mission Space, Before 11:00 either ride directly or fast pass. Then after a quick lunch do the Kim Possible world show case, and exploring the different countries after lunch.

Probably leave the park around 6ish head back to the castle for Supper (either take out or a BBQ)

Maybe head back at 8:30 to see Illuminations.

If we decide to do Universal....I didn't plan that yet I had that put off until Thursday.....

I want to do the 4 parks the first 5 days... then we can return to the ones we didn't get to do everything we wanted or the one we liked best again... After all we are there for 11 days.

Yes you can, in fact the big rides have these handy storage mesh bags infrount of your seat where you can stoar lose items. The trick is to REMEBER them.

We brought a GPS and it turn out to be invaluable. I deffenetly recomend it to any one going offsite.

Then to rockin roller coaster or fp
Tower of terror

All before 11:00

Pizza planet for lunch(my guys were huge TS fans when they were little)

Indiana jones, Star tours are a must
Anything else is gravy as they say. If anyone has suggestions pleas do tell!
