Yes, that is interesting and I love the color chart graphic, but it doesn't mention that Crayola has not only added colors, but it has retired some others over the years.

When I was a kid, their biggest box contained 64 colors. (Sky blue and magenta were my favorites ) Last time I bought a big box (about 10 years ago), it had 96 colors. I don't know if that number has grown or not.

Wow in 40 years, there will be 330 crayons in a box! Thats really impressive.
