I cannot even express how excited I am to be leaving for the Mouse in 11 days! This is our second trip as a family and my third trip overall. I have never had the dinning plan before so this is a new experience for me, but I think I am up to the challenge!
This is the first review I have posted on the disboards, however, I have several reviews from past vacations that I have completed for our local paper. Here is a little backgound on the family-
Me- Julia-
(33) I am a stay-at-home mom at the moment, however, in a former life (pre-kids) I worked in the US Senate and also as a social worker. I have just finished up my education degree, and would like to teach when my youngest starts kindergarten next fall. As previously stated, I occasionaly write reviews for our local newspaper. My husband and I love to travel, so any excuse to get paid to do something we love is great with me! I am a bit of a food snob, because I have been fortunate enough to have experienced some of the best dinning in the world when working for the US Senate. Washington DC and the surrounding area have amazing dinning from all over the world. I love anything seafood, and especially like sushi. I also am a dessert freak. Anything sweet is fine with me!
DH- Donnie-
(40) Donnie is a General Manager for a private country club. As such he is a complete food and wine snob. He expects perfection in his club and this translates into his dinning experiences. Deep down he is a meat and potatoes guy- chosing a steak any night of the week- but sometimes he will surprise me with a fish dish, but he is allergic to shell fish so that is a no no. He would also forgo the dessert in favor of an appetizer any day.
DS- Trey-
(6) This little guy will eat everything! He shares my love of seafood and is not afraid to try new things!
DD- Kennedy-
(5) My little princess. She is a very picky eater and would eat chicken nuggets and french fries everyday! She does love all type of fruit and would gladdly eat fresh strawberries for dessert anytime.
Details
We are staying for 6 days/5 nights at POR. This is our first time on campus and we are really looking forward to the added benefits. We are on the DDP, so I will include a breakdown of cost OOP for each dinning, plus a review of our snacks and CS meals. Here are out ADRs.
Sat- May 1- Sci-Fi- dinner
Sun- May 2- Tony Town Sq- dinner
Mon- May 3- Akershus- dinner (for my little princess
)
Tues- May 4- Hoop Dee Doo Reiview- dinner
Wed- May 5- Boma- dinner
Thurs- May 6- 1900 Park Fare- breakfast
I really tried to get into a few other places for breakfast, with no luck. This trip was only planned about a month ago, so I am pleased with the TS I succeeded in booking.
Hope to see you all on the other side of my food feast!
