The could we?? should we?? PTR **12/9 **Home from WDW**

 Yay about piecing the file together!! You were so smart to have Terry print 2 sets of labels :thumbsup2.

Awww Bill and I are really touched that you would want to have a meal with us. We were looking at dates and think will be there Dec. 2 - 13th, if we drop days it will be on the end of the trip.

You miss my birthday by 1 day!!

I am jealous that you will be there longer than me though!!! I am excited to really get into planning... :)

Oh man, hmmm I might have to change dates around again :rotfl:. We were trying to make sure we were there for my birthday on the 9th. We have been in WDW on his birthday but never on mine.

Tailor's birthday is the 8th!!! That is why we have to leave on the 7th... How awful would we be if we spent her birthday in Disney World without her!!!!

:rotfl: You wouldn't do that. My Mom's birthday was on the 8th.

Terry thought about it!!! :rolleyes1

I said NO WAY!!! :headache:

She would never forgive us... And I wouldn't blame her... She is banking on the fact that we are bringing back all sorts of great stuff for her though...

I am actually thinking about buying the goody bag stuff for her party while we are there... I think that would be cute! Expensive, but cute!!! :cutie:

SLACKER!!!

A big reason why I am putting so much thought into this party is because my mom is so hard on me at times... Terry or my brother could have it at McDonald's and she would fall all over them, but Terry is already telling me to be prepared to hear about what I didn't do or what she would do differently, or she didn't like my dress or my hair... Probably both on the dress and hair, she never likes that... She isn't all bad though, it's not like she is this horrible woman... She got pregnant with me when she was 14... Went to school and worked full time to support me... I always had everything I needed, so it's not like she is a bad mom, just a mom who's daughter cannot seem to do anything right... :confused3

I know I am a TOTAL Slacker!!! :rotfl: I think it's because in my mine May seems soooo far away, but in all actuality it really isn't huh? I am going to pick his cake out at the bakery, so that's one more thing off the list of things to do!!! :woohoo: See, I'm slowly but shortly doing what I need to do!

Toni... I am so sorry that your mom is so hard on you! I bet it's because she don't want you to make any of the mistakes she made. She wants you to me the best! At the end of the day she LOVES YOU and I have no doubt she is going to be thrilled at all the work you are putting into this party for her!

May is only a month and a half away!!! My OCD mind if freaking out for you right now...

Oh, I know you are right on my Mom... She doesn't want to see me struggle, and her version is struggling is different than mine... Terry and I made the choice that I stay at home, so we choose to live off of his income, she thinks it would be better if I worked full time too, so we can have a house twice as big and cars twice as expensive... I think she is finally starting to come around on me being at home though, she is noticing that we can do it, it just takes us a little longer than her... :goodvibes Did you ever see the episode of Friends where Monica's mom always makes the comments about her hair, earrings, etc. and then says that she is allowed to say those things because she is her mother... That is my Mom... Not awful, not bad, just the little comments that I let get to me at times... Honestly I think it is kind of a good thing at times, like with the party, I am putting so much thought into everything that I otherwise may not think through and make a different decision... :)

We talked about a few details and decided to bite the bullet... We have always taken ME to and from the airport and used the wonderful Disney Transportation to and front the parks, but we are doing things different this year... We have decided to rent a car for this trip and drive ourselves... :thumbsup2

After last year and Toni's medical problems, I want to have the freedom to drive somewhere if we have to... I also don't want to fight the crowds again after the firework extravaganza's that the parks offer... That was a nightmare last year... We won't have to worry about missing any ADR's becasue they shut the busses down again :lmao: It will give us the freedom to stop at the store on the way in and get a few snacks and drinks to have at the room... I think having the freedom of a car will make this trip so much more enjoyable... No more having to stand on the buses when they are full, or listen to the loud commotion of everyone either... Just a nice relaxing time....

I am off to work again in a few minutes, got called in for overtime... Figured I would give you all the update before I left...

Ha Ha!!! :rotfl2: I know, I know... I have to get cracking here... of course I go and to the bakery to order his cake, and you guessed it closed! ***!!! Devon is with his dad next weekend, so I am hoping that I can get out and get some things done.

And I totally know the Friend's episode that you are referring too! I'm glad that you realize that she is the way she is b/c shes wants the best for you... It's just a pain in the a@$, b/c I know it probably makes you feel like s$@t!!!

:goodvibes Seems to me like you have a pretty awesome family, and at the end of the day, that is ALL that matters!!! :goodvibes

I am sure you will get a lot more done on your own next weekend... I know I get things done faster without the kids with me...

So are you bursting at the seems to tell him?? I would be... But I can't keep my mouth shut so that is my first problem!!

I totally knew you would know about the Friends episode!!! :rotfl:

Yes, that I so get more done on my own too!!!

YES, YES and YES!!! I want to tell him so bad!!! He brings up going to Disney at least once a week, but I am going to try and hold strong... Last year's trip was suppose to be a surprise too, but I opened mu FAT mouth!!! :lmao: I was thinking of instead of making the trip an early christmas present, giving it to him for this communion girt in May, but then I thought out it and I really want to hold off telling him to Thanksgiving. Can I do it??? That my friend is the million dollar question!!! :rotfl2:

We are going thru a dilemma for next year with doing Universal as well !! Judy wants to rent a car for the 3nights we are there but as there will be at least 5 , a car wont work would have to be a mini van and then there is a possibility of more people !! Yikes I hat being undecided !!!

 Toni ,

Bill and I were away at a board meeting for the disability advocacy group he is in, I got to read your posts about your mom, but my stoopid  Blackberry Storm doesn't like the DIS and won't let me post here

I know your Mom isn't a bad mom, look at the lovely, wonderful, caring daughter she raised, but I know her words and opinions still hurt and I hurt for you. You and Terry know what is best for YOUR family. Just keep doing what you are doing because I think you are fantastic, amazing, and simply wonderful just the way you are :grouphug:.

My parents can be pretty critical too sometimes, but in the end will give you the shirt off their backs. I guess it's part of being a parent. :confused3

Anyway, glad you made the decision to rent a car. It will give you so much more freedom!!! :thumbsup2

Did you consider still doing ME and cabbing it when needed? Other than our one misstep with a cab, we had no problems with cabs the whole trip.....

Driving to the MK is kind of a pain because you have to add the tram ride and then the monorail or ferry ride...

Many people love driving though and swear by it....:thumbsup2

Terry has always wanted to hit Universal... I told him we could go for a day or 2 if he wanted... That may end up being change #4!! :rotfl:

 Thanks Tracy! I really try to just let the comments roll off, but it gets hard at times... She is a great Mom, and I love her to death, wouldn't trade her for the world... :goodvibes

My parents are the same way, would do anything for us if we needed them to... When I got sick and the doctors had a hard time diagnosing me, I was in the hospital a lot and had a ton of tests ran, Terry had a great job with excellent benefits, but my parents didn't know that... They called the hospital and my doctor's office and said to send all bills to them that were not covered on insurance... Luckily, we just had to pay the co pays which were very low(the total cost of care before insurance paid was over 500,000), so we had it covered, but just the thought that they were willing to make sure I had the care I needed was awesome... :lovestruc

We thought about it, but we wanted to be able to stop at a store and get my cranberry juice and other drinks and snacks, plus if I needed medical attention, we could just go get it... And also, if we decided to take a day and go see Orlando we could... Terry has always wanted to do Universal, so we may end up over there for a day...

If for some reason we end up going over budget on the other things we have going on, this will be the first thing to go... We don't mind disney transportation at all, just thought we would try it a different way this time...
