ok, first of all....I did not know that they still made underoos, let alone men's underroos. It's amazing the amount of useless information I get from the dis.;)

I just can't take a man in underroos seriously....
underoos-1.jpg

I must be emotionally scarred because my mom wouldn't buy me the cool underroos my friends had.....I wanted wonder woman undies and under shirt dang it!
If I ever go to therapy, that will be the first thing I'll talk about.

Now, onto more "normal" things

Have you been to Kona for dinner? After trying both dinner and breakfast, I think the dinner is way better. Plus, it's a little quieter than the circus going on in O'hana. As you are escorted to your seat in the calmer restraunt you can chuckle and wave at the parents with screaming kids before they get to see stitch.

Oh Winkers, you can always be counted on for a good picture!! lol

I honestly never even considered Kona for dinner, haven't even seen the menu... I will have to check it out, thanks for the tip!!

Okay, we could use some help people!!

The dining plan is going to cost us 924...

We are trying to figure out if it would be more beneficial to just get like 2 500 gift cards and use those and if there is anything left we can SPEND IT!!

We like the idea of it being prepaid, but we would order soda if we are on the dining plan, but would just have ice water if we were not... Sounds stupid I know, but on the DDP it's like it's included so we better make god use of our credit... Make sense??

Also, we are not huge dessert eaters, especially right with our dinner... It would be much more our style to have dinner then a few hours later a snack...

SO for those of you who do not do the dining plan, why not? Has anyone ever done it both ways?? We used it in 2008 and 2009, but not in 2004, but that trip could be a whole nother thread!!! We didn't even know there were sit down meals in 2004... :confused3

Terry is commited to sit down with me and do the pros and cons to both sides and see what we end up with...

LOL! Afghans in underoos!! Cherie- you're gonna give me a hernia before my trip. STOP. IT!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

We thought about not doing the ddp this trip but it just makes sense for us to do it. It worked out to getting lunch and a snack for "free". Plus, if we were paying out of pocket, I'd be looking at the prices and probably not order what I realy want. I'm cheap.

Okay your last sentence really just hit home for me... I never thought of that and Terry and I both would be looking at prices and trying to go cheap... Not something I really want to be worried about on vacation...

Tony- (it IS Tony, right? - sorry, still just getting to know ya)

I am really torn about the DDP!

Here's my take...

For this trip we are doing a little of both. Some with, some without. The first 6 days without, the next 5 with.

I'm very much like you: For my days NOT on the plan, I'll likely NOT get cokes or tea or such. Ice water for me! It's healthier anyway. For dinners, though, I'll get wine likely, and that's not on the DDP anyway.

Also, I'm not a dessert kinda person either. I'd rather have an appie, or like you say, a dessert or snack later on. My tummy just isn't very big, and I'd rather eat less, more often.

That said, I think I will enjoy the time we ARE on the plan. It allows me to eat a few things I might not necessarily otherwise order. And I will order the iced tea. Likely we'll split the dessert or get fruit instead. It galls me to see food go to waste, so I try not to perpetuate that. Just me....

If you've given it a best effort to think about (realistically) order and that's a pretty good estimate, then I'd say go with the gift cards. BUT you must commit to NOT feeling guilty about getting that steak if you want to.

So, there you have my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

This is exactly why we get the dining plan, I would always be looking at the prices, this way I don't worry about how much we are spending on food.

Yes, it is Toni, just with an "i" :goodvibes Good memory...

Thanks for your insight... There are really so many ways to go back and forth on this!!!

We really loved the dining plan the last 2 years and are very familiar with it... And it was nice being able to order anything without even looking at the price... And we did enjoy trying the desserts, I just felt bad not being about to eat it all... :confused3

Yeah, I think this is going to be a big factor for us...

We can always take the dessert to go I guess, right?? :confused3

And I totally see that side of it too. I'm the biggest cheapskate that ever walked the earth I think. It would be hard for me too.

Dessert to go is a good idea- Need to remember that!

Okay, my OCD is freaking me out right now!!! I just realized that my ADR date is before the park hours will be released for the last 7 days of our trip!!! :scared1:

I am pretty sure I am going to puke...

 Breathe, just breathe. I know you will still be able to get ADR's for the places you want. I got the ADR's we wanted when we decided to take the May trip :thumbsup2. Have faith :goodvibes

Okay... I have to ask you all a question... We are looking back at the resort choice, and wondering if we should go another route... We are looking at renting DVC points and staying at AKV or BWV instead... It is pretty much the same price as staying at POP.... Has anyone in here ever rented DVC points? I know there are some risks, but figured you all could help us make our decision...

Hey there! Just checking in!!! Had to go to DC for work in the beginning of the week and am finally just getting back on track!!!

Have to take, I damn near peed when you wrote me back saying is this hotel pager friendly?? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Love that darn movie!!!

So, I have to tell you, I was not a huge fan of Yak & Yeti when we went in September... The food was average at best and you can seriously get the same thing off the menu at the Y & Y counter service!!! Just my two cent's!! :cutie:

Also, I totally think you should treat yourself for your b-day and do a dinner show!!! We are doing Hoop Dee on 12/10!!!

So can't wait for our trips get here!!! :yay:
