Great Ads! I think they would work well in MI too. MI is a BIGGG hunting state.
I was thinking the same thing. They should atleast play them from Genesee county on up! The 75 corridor tends to be DEM through Flint and Saginaw, but many in those counties are hunters and outdoors"people".

I'm still in Oakland, albeit barely, but my town clears out on the 15th. I think the only thing keeping it safe is people knowing that there were guns left behind and they're closer at hand during that time of year.

What cat fight on O'Reilly? Should I stay up for the next showing?

Greta is interviewing Bill Clinton tonight. I'm tuning in because I want to see if he says more nice things about McCain and Palin.:rotfl:

I heard a few bits and pieces. Ol' Bill is a good democrat but, he doesn't care much for Obama. It's more what he doesn't say.

Fortunately, I've never been addicted to A1. But I've been jonesing for tatertots recently, and reminding myself who they belong too may not work much longer:rotfl:

Hunts isn't bad though, but I switched to the grocery store brand cause its just as good.

Be careful ....one never knows who make the store brand. LOL

DH called me about an hour ago. He was laughing hysterically. He said he just drove by the bus shelter at a local mall and someone took bright pink post-it notes and completely covered the shelter. On each post-it note it said OBOMA

:rotfl2: So this rocket surgeon wrote OBOMA on at least 200 little sheets of paper. You would have thought that someone, at the very least, would have corrected her on the spelling. :lmao: :rotfl:Of all days to leave his camera at home. :sad2:

:rotfl: Obviously, this was an evil Republican plot to discredit Obama supporters.;)

Does anyone have a clip of Biden telling an audience that BO wasn't going to take his guns away from him? I was getting ready for a class this afternoon and heard a small bit of it, but can't find it anywhere now.

This might have been what you heard ---

From NBC/NJ's Mike Memoli
CASTLEWOOD, VA – Joe Biden took on an even folksier tone than usual as he campaigned in rural southwest Virginia this afternoon. Though his focus was again on economic issues, he deviated from script to talk about an issue not often discussed by the Democrats: guns.

The Delaware senator predicted that Republicans would seek to sway voters by threatening that Obama would take away guns. Biden, claiming to be a gun-owner himself who likes “that little over and under,” called that notion bogus.

“Barack Obama ain’t taking my shotguns, so don't buy that malarkey,” he said. “If he tries to fool with my Beretta, he's got a problem.”

The riff came as he criticized McCain again for being out of touch on the economy, quoting another Republican as he made the case for putting a new philosophy in the White House.

“Take a look at the facts. Take a look at what’s happened the last eight years,” he said. “Tell me as Ronald Reagan said famously more than two decades ago: are you better off today than you were eight years ago?”

As Obama did earlier today, Biden zeroed in on a quote from McCain in a trade publication saying he’d open up the health insurance market “to more vigorous nationwide competition as we have done over the last decade in banking,” to provide for “more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst-excesses of state-based regulation.”

“Translated: get rid of the regulations, get rid of the protection, and hang on to your health insurance,” Biden said. “Ladies and gentlemen, this guy's not learned anything. I'm not joking.”

Biden spoke to a few hundred friendly bodies at the United Mine Workers Fish Fry, an annual tradition that started decades ago when the union wanted to show solidarity with striking workers. Deep in coal country, Biden said he and Obama would invest money in clean coal technology, and pay for it by taking away tax breaks for oil companies.

“John McCain and Sarah Palin, I understand why they’re oil people,” he said.

And, he continued, he understands the need to drill for more oil, though he expected oil companies to use existing areas first before expanding. “Why haven’t they done that when we’re told there’s 50 billion barrels of oil out there? You think maybe they kind of like the price the way it is?”

“Imagine … what Barack and I can do, taking that four billion dollars and investing it in coal gasification,” he said. “That’s within our capacity to do it. If you give me four billion dollars, I promise you, I promise you, we will find the answer.”

Hey -- Bella, tell us what happened with your ring. Did you ever get it out?

I listen Cartalk quite a bit and have heard several callers who have done the same type of thing you did -- someone dropped a bunch of marbles in her dashboard, lots of rings have been dropped into all parts of the cars [usually by men - they get teased a lot by the hosts].

I caught part of Rush L today and he was talking about Biden dropping out. He thought they would try to get him out pretty soon. If I were Hilary I would run the other way - no way I would want to be linked with this campaign. Really even if they won would she want to be part of this?

If Biden dropped out of his own accord then I think I would respect him ....much more than I do now which adds up to 0! The fact that he AT LEAST spoke against the BO add which ridiculed McCain re; his computer skills tells me he as a modicum of integrety. I cannot believe I am saying this but I guess it is all a matter of degree when you are at the absolute bottom there is only one way to go in the public opinion.

It is going into the shop tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed b/c the ring was one I got at Shop at Home when they were going off the air. It was a STEAL and I am betting I will pay more to get it out of the shift than I paid for it. That would be a killer.

Do you guys report people's posts on other threads when they personally attack you? I'm getting a little tired of it. You make a point in a debate, and they come back with "you're a clown" or something. I'll post something about Obama and something he has said or done, and they respond with some veiled "you're a racist" or something. I might get a little rough talking about the dems, but not the individual poster, and always they come back with some nasty personal shot. What's the matter with these people? They always go right to the personal attack. Do you report?

WEll, it ain't gonna do HIM any good unless you have a para normal story to tell and then you would need to go to the Ghosthunters Thread.:rotfl:

Hey now! I didn't say it was a good justification, but I want it! Holy crap, the Heinz ketchup is turning me into a Democrat! I think I need an intervention!:sad1:

Coming out of my self-imposed CB isolation to say....

Politics are politics, and ketchup is ketchup. No other but Heinz will do.:) I have no shame.

I am right there with you! But still don't buy Tyson chicken - Hilary Clinton trade issue or Pepsi who is a big $$ donor for gun control.

Guess I can't vote for Obama then. Dangit.

While I never have, I am starting to think that it is necessary when one receives a PERSONAL attack. I had two reported and they were not personal attacks IMHO. If someone called you a clown then that is IMHO a MAJOR personal attack and should be reported. The Dis is supposed to be free of personal attacks for everyone no matter WHAT your politics.

Have you ever tried to substitue mayo for ketchup on fries. My son's friend did it and I tried it ....it was great and Kraft has a really good one with olive oil. They are not owned by Heinz.

I don't know how to report. That's what your supposed to do I guess.

I think they have a different opinion on all that, though.
