Holy Hockey Mom! I have been off for 2 days, and you all not only start a new thread , but are already ups to 38 pages???!!!!!!!! Never in all my sad and addicted time on the DIS have I seen such a heated pace (except for when Tom Cruise does something REALLY Crazy and the Scientology thread goes nuts.)

I just came to get a little info. I was leaving the house today and heard something on FOX about how boy scouts had found trash bins full of American flags after the DNC and they were going to start the rally with something about that. I had to leave and missed the fun. (And God knows I don't have the time to go back in this thread and look for it - OK maybe I have the time, but my DH will kill me)

Did anyone see this? Any reports?

OK, never mind, I got lucky and clicked on the right page and found the Denver post article. How is that for journalism? The idiot liberal journalist made a snide comment about "I don't know what he DNC was supposed to do with thousands of used flags..." SEE? That is what we are up against! They don't even know how to treat the flag! No respect. They just do what Dan Rather and Joy Behar , Oprah, and Rosie O'Donell want them to. Sick.

Then they act like the Republicans are making a "stunt" out of it. It isn't a stunt. I am glad to know this info. I want to know if a man running for pres. doesn't even have people working for him that know how to treat the flag!

Then, the idiots mouthpieces for him acted like they were great Americans, because at least they were waving the flag. No, it is not a little party favor that is the new "OBama flag" No, it is the American flag that Francis Scott Key was so relieved to see in the dawns early light. It is was our soldiers have been fighting to protect in every war. Dear God, help us. Dear God , please be with McCain.

I have to say - I am laughing my butt off about the McCain doesn't support vets thread!

Having spent the entire day at the Pentagon yesterday and than a quick stop in WRAMC - They LOVE McCain!!!! In fact...a lot of them even told me some BO jokes (can't share them here). There were even LOTS of people touring the Pentagon that were wearing McCain baseball hats.

I did see ONE guy (civilian) outside the Pentagon who was wearing a BO shirt with the whole change motto on the back - I had an injured Iraq vet with me as my guest - he was laughing at it and said "only change you're going to get is "chump change".

We went out to dinner after our day and took a bunch of soldiers with us - and BELIEVE me....they are all for McCain!

I wish we would award soldiers by letting them vote twice.

That's too funny about the "chump change"..........I'm sure not all military love McCain, but I would think most do.
