Well that's the problem, right there. He's got Animal Kingdom Lodge-envy. I've seen it. It's ugly. His owner must have said "You're going to like it there. She loves Disney." But what he heard was "You're going to…Disney!" And now he's in your living room, all bitter and stuff, grumbling. :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I know about bitter dogs - I have a few who are pretty bitter that they're outside and I'm inside right now. They'd love a value life - right now they're in camping mode. Poor pups - I've promised them long walks but that was weeks ago...I guess today I need to pay the piper, or the pupper....

I'd like to add an additional safe topic - my sore throat - can I whine about that just a little bit?

Just heard on Hannity -- HC has just accepted the SoS -- this should be pretty interesting....

I'm surprised. If it had been me, I'd have stayed in my nice safe Senate seat, fat and sassy for the rest of my working life. Looks like she means business in 2012 or 2016.

Not so horribly cold here...mid 40s, but winter is a'comin!

Wanna talk about geriatric doggies? I'm surrounded by them right now; one snoring on each side of my chair as I type. :) One is ours, the other is a holiday house guest (his owners went to see their daughter in college for Thanksgiving). The visitor doggy is a grumbler. He is so funny. It's not a growl or a bark or a whine...it's a low grumble. Remember the grandpa in the Hillbilly Bear cartoons? Sounds like him. :rotfl: And if you grumble back you can get a conversation going, too.

precious angel noses. he must be telling your dog all about stuff that's happened in his long pooh life...just pooch stories.

 Hope your sore throat is all well soon

I guess we'l just have to hope for the best with HC as SoS. Maybe she won't be a total trainwreck. One thing about it... she is a smart lady with international connections.

I have to say, though, that it doesn't seem to be a grumpy grumbling. LOL If that makes any sense. It seems to just be him talking. Kinda like Max makes this funny pig snort when he wants to play, and bear noises when he really gets into the playing. :rotfl: It's too funny to answer him and get a conversation going, though. I love this dog...

Okay, I'm going to be rude and not talk about doggies, ('cause I don't have any), so I'm going to change the subject.

I'm going to talk about the new bedding I ordered from JcPenneys that came today. It's soooooo nice!!

We have had the same bedding since the day we got married (almost 15 years ago) and we decided to redecorate the room (just paint and bedding). I've always been very simple with my decorating, but I really liked this. The quality is EXCEPTIONAL. This is what we got - ain't it purty?

Hey guys, did the Obama/Ohana thread get deleted? It seems to be…missing. If so, we'd better be super extra careful commenting in this one. I was appalled by some of what I saw over there, but I didn't report anything. Let's be very, very careful. Let's talk about the weather. It's cold.

Cold and with snow flurries on and off here. It's light up night downtown tonight and my DD5 asked me if we could please go. We all have colds and it's supposed to be really cold this evening so I didn't even hesitate with a no.

I haven't read on that thread in a few days, but did see some allusions to it on here. Yeah, I noticed it poofed too.

Not knowing what was said there I can only comment about here... nobody appointed me a mod or WM, but it would seem to me that we're in line with TOS. My only suggestion (and I'm talking to myself too!) is that it's best just to ignore taunting posts here so as not to cross any lines. Our typical silliness, as well as our topical conversation and chat, seems harmless to me. :surfweb:

:scared1: Wow. It poofed? I was lurking on there last night and a bit offended by what they were saying, but I did report any of it. I'm serious when I say that's their thread and this is ours. While neither threads could be private threads, I did try to be respectful to not post over there since that was their haven.

Bad link, but I bet it's purty. I've redone every room in the house except our master bedroom — even the basement! Our bedroom, though, still has the same linens from 15 years ago, just like you. I guess when you're mom and dad, you really do come last. It's on my list, though. One of these days that room is getting a makeover…

I just bought all new bedding and curtains from Linen's and Things since they're going out of business.

The link in your quote didn't work for me when I copied and pasted to see what you’re buying.

Any thoughts on this column by Michelle Malkin?

I don't have any personal investment in e-harmony, and knew only a little about their origin and business model. But I read Malkin's column and do think she's onto something in speaking about the absurdity of the suit brought against them and the ensuing shakedown.
Anyone else think this is the standarad way that liberals conduct themselves? They can't "live and let live"; they are compelled to make everything conform to their tiny little worldview. Discuss. :)

Hey Zip, if you're feeling particularly brave on this fine Friday, you should make this it's own thread. :teeth:

:lmao: You evil person, you.

I wouldn't go either, though. I have an aversion to crowds in places not designed to accomodate them, so I'm the mean evil woman who won't even take my kids to parades and the like when I feel good. If I didn't feel good, FORGET IT!!!

Shoot - it won't let me link it - but if you go to bedding, then comforters, then Woodridge - that's it. I even tried to copy and paste a picture of it into my photobucket account and it won't let me. Grrrr.

It's so purty!

The weather here in Northern Michigan was very disappointing to my kids. We were supposed to get between 6-10 inches last night and we got about 5. They desperately wanted a snow day.

I wanted one too - it would have meant slave labor in the basement for me. The kids should be thankful that they had to go to school today. :rotfl:

Very nice :thumbsup2

I actually thought about that. That thread would practically write itself though. By post #10 I'd be a homophobe, and by post #20 I'd be a -gasp! -Christian. Then one predictable leftleaning poster would have 25 lines explaining how I don't really know what I think I know. yada yada yada... :happytv:

ahhhh....gorgeous.

Laurie, you hold me to that tonight when I'm on here typing away after I've downed a bottle of wine. :lmao:

I was actually on my better behavior last night because I had half a bottle of homemade pear wine and it was so smooth. Mmmmmm... I will keep an :magnify: on you this evening. :surfweb:

Does this picture scare the poop out of anyone?

That is all. :surfweb:
