The Christmas Holiday Tour timing....

A few people who have done the tour have told me that they took it at 10:00 am, but I can't figure out how that would line up with a parade. I know the holiday tour is about 2 1/2 hours long, and ends with the parade seats--but how would that work out if the tour begins at 10:00 am? The time of the parades on the dates we are there in early December are 6:30 on day, and then 3:30 and 6:30 another day. Even if the tour included the 3:30 parade, that wouldn't make sense timing-wise, right?

How does this work? The schedule for last year shows the Holiday Tour at 10:00 am, but I have heard other people talk about taking it around 4:00.

If anyone can solve this mystery for me, I will be forever grateful! I can't call to reserve the tour tickets until 30 days prior, and the CM's have no info on the the Holiday tour schedule right now.

I can't answer about the 10am, but we did the tour last year at 1pm which lined up perfectly with the 3:30 parade. Maybe they have you come back for the parade later? There were about 3-4 other tour groups sitting with us. And that seating is so worth it!

Thanks, Jamie! It is hard to figure out the timing of our dining reservations not knowing if the tour is morning, noon or night! It is driving me bonkers. I wish Guest Relations had the info on this for me.

Anyone else take the tour and remember the time?

exactly are we touring? Sounds interesting and I would like to do it. I have 2 little kids and I wonder how they would do on a tour.

Hello,
The tour starts at the kick off of the Xmas season. I haven't been on it (obviously), but it is a tour of the Xmas decorations in Disneyland, and there is a lot of info about the history of Xmas across the world and Santa Claus. You get to ride the Haunted Mansion and It's A Small World as part of the tour (sans lines) and then get special seating for the parade (in a roped off area with chairs) and get a gingerbread cookie and hot chocolate to drink during the parade. The cost is approximately 50.00 per person.

From what I have been told, it is sometimes hard for some kids to deal with the tour--as it is lots of talking and walking. My kids are older, so we should be fine.

Hope this helps you. You can do a search on the "Holiday Tour" on this website for more info--I have read just about everything on it by now. Disneyland does not have any info on the holiday tour up yet, but after the holiday season kick off, I assume all of the info will be available.

Hubby and I did the tour last year and plan to do it again this year, for the benefit of having a reserved chair right outside Small World for the Parade and the delicious Hot Cocoa in a cup you get to keep as well as a piece of fudge and a gingerbread cookie. The tour is wonderful, I don't know how well little kids would do it. It is about an hour and a half long, lots of walking, but well worth the 50 bucks. The tour info will not be posted until holiday season officially starts and you can schedule it 30 days out, I THINK. It does fill up rather quickly and is a lot of fun. All the info will be available at the Disney site when it gets closer, times of the tour and all. We did it at 1PM as well. See ya there for a Disney Christmas!

We did it with a 2.5 year old and 1 year old last year and they were fine. The older one walked the entire thing and the little one rode in her stroller. The hot chocolate and cookie were a great treat and like I said, the parade seating can't be beat. Plus we all got a fudge sample and special Tinkerbell pin. It was fun!
