What is the warrenty like for the clothes at Children's Place?

One of the children in my daycare has a winter jacket and the zipper has pulled out from the bottom of the jacket.

I know some places will exchange it for a new one. Will CP? I feel bad as it happened at daycare. The jacket looks new. There isn't one near us for me to go to so I don't want to drive an hour or so to find out they won't fix it or replace it.

I DOUBT it. They just recently changed their return policy to 45 days, even with Christmas it's still 45 days.

I would call or stop by if you can. There's no "official" policy for the Bonnie Togs near here, but the zipper went in my sons fall jacket and they replaced it right away as it was only a week old. However, the replacement jacket had the same issue so I just got a refund. And.. now the zipper just split on his winter jacket, which is one month old and from the same store. I just won't buy jackets there anymore.
But the point is, they offered to replace them for me when I explained with no questions.

If it reasonably new, they will replace it. they are really good about their clothing. My DS9 recently had some ripped jeans that I traded in for new ones. they weren't ripped in the knee normal wear and tear, they were just barely a month old and ripping on the inside seam on 3 pair. they replaced them all with no questions. I would guess it depends on what year the jacket was bought. the tag inside has a code that says the year and season. If it is within the last year or so, I would bring it in. I have jackets from there that have been used by my kids almost 6 yrs now.

The tag doesn't have a date on it. It just says Place established 1989, All-Weather Performance Gear, Date issued ............ No 24839

I'll check and see if I can get a number for the store nearest to me.

I hope the Childrens Place do something for you. If they do I will become a customer there. I am sick of buying from the Gap and I will never again buy a jacket from them. I bought a jacket and the zipper broke within 5 days of purchase. I went in the store with my receipt and tried to exchange the jacket for a new one since you would think it was defected. I was honest and told her the jacket was worn twice and it is only 5 days old and the zipper is broken can I please exchange it because it is defective. The lady made a fool out of me screaming how dare you try to return this jacket. She screamed you wore it, you broke it and its now yours. The manager came over and said the same thing. It was embarrasing. I bought the new jacket at full price because I needed one and it did fit well but I should have walked out. I won't buy from them anymore. Their return/defective policy is terrible.

My daughter had a jacket from TCP & the zipper broke on it as well. She had already been wearing it for one season & I bought it for $20ish-on sale/had coupon. I figured it wasn't worth it to try to return it. It still fit her too.

My son also had the boys version of it but his worked great until he lost the outer shell.

I think I have heard that they will take back damaged clothing but I have never tried.

I would contact GAP corporate.

:confused3 Gap doesn't own Children's Place.

You could call their customer service 1-877-752-2387
(M-F:9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET)

I was replying to alyssa1027's experience with the Gap above.

I know nothing about the children's place except their clothing is always too short for my kids so I never go in.

The store told me as long as it's this season's jacket they can exchange it. If it was purchased in the US then the parents would need to check the store in the US to see if they will exchange.
