Its been two weeks since Chelsea was injured, left paralyzed and barely responsive. I took her to the vet yesterday and he referred to her as his "little Christmas Miracle". She is walking and yes, occasionally hopping, although she loses her balance. Her gait is a bit lopsided but her extremities seem strong, she knows where her food dish is, all of her "frequent haunts" in the house, does her business outside and seems happy. She can't climb stairs anymore, but thats a small price to pay. She is off of medication for now but will start Enacard in two weeks for her mitral valve prolapse. She has a huge heart murmur. Instead of lub dub her heart says whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. The Enacard has a good track record of prolonging her life. The mitral valve prolapse may explain why she became hypoxic when the groomer scruffed her.

So glad to hear that Chelsea is doing better. I've been following her progress and am thrilled with your Christmas miracle. :goodvibes

So glad to hear that Chelsea is on the mend. Please give her a big hug from me and the doxies in Florida.
