Good morning, hyenas!
Wow, sunny and warm today!

Kids are off to school, and I have contractors here installing a new heat pump. (I think that's what it is.) Our old furnace needs to be replaced, and the heat pump will not only be more efficient, it will also allow us to cool the house in the summer when the weather gets too hot for us (which thankfully doesn't happen all that often, but it will be nice when it does.)

The contractor said he hoped to have the work all done today, but sounded like it might spill over a 2nd day, so we'll see. I don't know why, but it always makes me feel a little weird having a strange man around all day, like it's WRONG somehow! I always try to hide away from wherever they are.

Fortunately the work they're doing is in the garage, though I think they're also replacing the thermostat panel, which will mean he needs to come inside for that part.

I get like that too. Namely when the cable guy comes.. its not like I have anywhere to go in our teeny apartment, so I pretty much just sit on the couch watching them. Its just me.... and them.... And Frelan in the bedroom sleeping.

Hey Staley!!! All is good - just hectic as all heck!!! I have been working every day (many 12 hour shifts) just to get people time off so we can go to Disneyland . Just 2 more days to go!!! I am just excited it really is going to happen - you just never know in this industry - so I refused to get excited until the last minute. I have most of our clothes packed - just need the miscellaneous stuff. Bought the kids dry erase boards for the drive (lets see if I regret that one later). Also bought Will a $100 gift card (his bday is Thursday while we are there) so that way he can buy souvies for his little nieces without having to worry.

We went to a Costco by Disneyland on one trip... But I dont remember where it was.. I am ever so useful, arent I?

Mmmmmm... We love Panda Express! Luckily, there is one by my house.

How weird! PF Changs (at least here) is a way better restaurant than Panda Express, which is akin to the Chinese food at Safeway.

I am so afraid I will be. I know last October when I went with mainly me and the kiddos I actually figured if I was spending money on a nice bed (at the GCH) to heck if I wasn't sleeping in it. I took a 2 hour nap

Thanks. We love Panda too - this trip will be very different for us (since we live in the middle of nowhere). We are actually going to eat offsite (PF Changs, Outback, Panda) and who knows where else that we can't eat here

He may have been once - his family is a Knotts family . He really doesn't seem to have any memories of it though (he was probably young) so it should be a new experience for him. Granted we are taking a 22 male to DL during gay days - but he had better have fun .

But I guess PF Changs is more fusion type of food than true Asian/Chinese. Maybe he prefers more authentic Chinese food? (Or as authentic as Safeway gets...)

Exactly!!! Same here - PF Changs is a nice restaurant - Panda is fast food.

No - I was going to google it next. I was first searching for Costco's on our travel route (found 3 so far on the way to Morongo). If I could really get $200 in gift cards that would be huge!!!

Its back by Angel Stadium.. Just go out to Katella, and hang a left. Go under the freeway, and it will be on the corner of state college way, and katella.
