Good morning, hyenas!
To my great amazement, after it rained all night it is now gorgeously sunny!!! :yay:

But the high today I think is supposed to be 62F, so I sent the boys to school in their raincoats anyway. Who knows if this will last? :confused3

Aww, did they up the prozac dosage Alison? :lmao:
My first thought was the same. :lmao:

Or maybe it was her sunny response to all the sausage violence at the Staley house over the weekend. :rotfl:

I ran several errands this morning after I dropped the boys off at their schools, then came back to kick off a load of laundry and get dinner in the crockpot. Turns out to get dinner ready at dinner time, I either needed to get the crockpot kicked off at 6 AM (low), or now wait until around 3 PM (high), so I'll wait. ;)

Now I need to dash to the photography studio to pick up DS's 8-year photos, and was going to make a Costco run, but am second guessing that now...

On the weekend my MIL and her DH marveled at how much DS8 looks like DH at that age. He really, really does, it's weird. DS4 doesn't look like DH at all, but I console DH by telling him the mouthiness is the same. :rotfl2:

I am exhausted....didn't sleep well , and this morning I have been busier than a 1 armed paper hanger...on the up side, dinner is already done, laundry is finished and the floors are clean..........thank goodness .. sounds like I get to relax huh? Nope, have school function with DD today..lucky me

Wow! Lookit you! You did all that this morning? I've only been awake for a little over 3 hours! :rotfl:

OK, I better scoot or I'm not going to finish everything.

See ya Gina! Hope you enjoy the school function! :wave2:

Surprisingly I haven't had a Prozac since Saturday!:lmao: No, it was just my mind before that first cup of coffee. DD has to get up at 5am and I'm not used to hearing her up that early, so I woke up and had a choice...computer or laundry. Naturally I added a few more items to the laundry pile and got on the computer.:lmao:

DS looks just like his dad, but DD doesn't. It's ok though, I always console him by reminding him that we lived downtown and DD looks just like the garbage man!:lmao:

Which is actually funnier than it sounds, because our old garbage man was a friend of DH's in high school and married one of my best friends from high school!:lmao: Gotta love that small town life!:thumbsup2

Hubby and I had a similar discussion today.. got a letter from J's high school that cracked us up.

The school is working on learning more about the various cultures represented in the student population. They have special assemblies with specific student groups to talk to the students and get some imput from them.. that in itself I feel is an off-approach to cultural awareness but whatever... :confused3

Hubby handed me today's letter with a stern expression and the words "You have some explaining to do woman!"

I was like "what now???!!" :headache:

Today's letter states "According to our computer records, you are identified in our student records as "Black/ Not Hispanic" and that is one of the cultures we would like to know more about"

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

How the heck did that happen???

I always check TWO boxes, hate those check ONLY one crap.

My boys are not one anything, they are a beautiful mix of two individuals ....

White and Hispanic (or as we prefer , Latino)

Gave it to J to read as he came in..

J: "I don't want to talk to anyone" wrinkling his nose in displeasure.

Me: "umm J look closer" , trying hard not to laugh

J: "What the heck??! " grumble grumble "I'm not black". And starts laughing.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Me: "well gee dear you can get out of third hour, just you know.. pretend."

J: :rolleyes2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Guess we have to fix things at school, should I send a note?

Please excuse J for not being black?
hmm, please excuse J for being Latino/white?

Please excuse J for being a lovable normal teenager who really could care less about how staff perceive his culture? ohhh I like that one :thumbsup2

When we found out about the twins, for some reason we were talking about this show we watched... It was a documentary where one of the twins is black, and one is white.. I THINK we were talking about how different they could look. I dont remember though. My husband looks over at me. I know DARN WELL one of them had better NOT be black!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I think we are safe on that one dear. :lmao:

When Alex was a baby, people used to always tell Frelan that Alex looked just like him. :confused3 I dont see it. :lmao: My favorite was when we were out to eat, and I think Alex was about 6 months old and the waitress asked how our baby got so tan. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I over baked him!! :lmao:

Mikalah is the spitting image of her father. Alex is the spitting image of HIS father. I hope the twins look like me. They BETTER. :lmao: I knew Alex would look like his dad. Dominate genes and all that. But Mikalah??? COME ON!!! Blond hair??? Blue eyes???? HELLO!!! She should be dark, like ME!:lmao: I was pissed. :lmao:

We had Gymnastics today... and I have to say, Mikalah has never looked happier. She was so excited to go, and when we got there she just took off for class. And yes. She is about a foot taller then the rest of the kids in her class. I thought we were going to be okay when we first got there.... turns out they had the 4s in with the 3s at first. :lmao: Only 4 kids in her class, and it was SO funny watching them! They had NO CLUE what was going on, and the poor teacher was chasing them all over the room. :lmao: :lmao: We got to sit outside and watch.. One little boy punched Mikalah.... I was SO PROUD that she didnt clothesline his butt. She just snarled at him and walked away. :lmao:

I paid it off, closed it, and told them to stick it in SEATTLE:rotfl2:
 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, call me Elizabeth Hasslebeck! The first time I read this I didn't get it. (is the cc company in Seattle?)

I just re-read it and am rolling on the floor!!! :lmao:

I'm picturing Mikalah in gymnastics, all decked out in pink sparkly spandex with an itty bitty skirt (because it's a dance outfit), running around with 3 other little runt children. That must be killer-cute! :lmao:

I hate to say it... but my hubby was right. Taking the girl to gymnastics kind of wore me out. I think it was all the standing around. :lmao:
OH GEEZ! Don't tell him that! :lmao:

They don't have a bench or something you can sit on? Usually there's at least one pregnant mom in a class like that. Do the parents participate, or are the kids flying solo?

If they don't have any place to sit, and you are not participating with her, then buy one of those folding chairs, and PARK YOUR BUTT during her class. I am serious!

:lmao: :lmao: Unfortunately... Its just a black leotard with pink shorts. But still.. VERY CUTE!:lmao: And yes.... the 3 other runt children is about right. She is LITERALLY a HEAD above them. All cute and tiny little ones.
