I pigged out at Wendy's today. Had to run an errand for my DD. She wanted to get her dad a retro Honda jersey, but couldn't find the motorcycle shop this morning. So I ran up and got it for her on my lunch break. Of course having the top down I could smell all the fast food french fries and finally sucumbed to temptation!

I swear I can not believe that she is related to me. Give me a car and some general directions and I will go anywhere. She would probably get lost in the grocery store if I didn't go with her!:rotfl: Last night she was trying to tell us where her bff's aunt lived, but we weren't quite understanding. She said she lived next to the College, near the river. I went to that college, it isn't anywhere near the river! So we are asking is it East or West of I-5?? I dunno!! What river, the Columbia?? I dunno the name of the river!! I mean really, she was born here, how can she not know where she's going?:lmao:

AND this is the child that swears she is going to move to a big city and out of our small town just as soon as she gets the chance. Heck, I doubt if she makes it past the mall!:lmao:

That's just the way DD is! She's fine around our little town and I believe she can now make it to the mall in Vancouver (with the help of her friends I'm sure). But there are places we go that she's been to a million times during her childhood. Now that she's driving she can't drive her way out of a wet paper sack!:lmao:

I can remember getting my driver's license and immediately heading out to cruise with my friends that night. My parent's told me "we don't want you driving over to Portland..Vancouver or Longview are fine, but not into the BIG CITY".

Where do you think the first place I headed was?? You guessed it, I picked my girlfriends up and we drove straight to downtown Portland...Why?? Because we could!:lmao:

You really would have thought my parents would learn...the best way to get me to do something is to tell me that I can't do it!

So I'm thinking about starting a thread on the Budget Board. Something like "If you would quit Dising and get a job you wouldn't need to pinch pennies". What do you think?:rotfl2:

;) My parents watched my mileage that night... I was supposed to go to the movies. I dont know where we went. But I played the music LOUD... as loud as I wanted.. and it was RAP. My parents HATE rap.. I STILL listen to it, and I have taught my baby a wicked shoulder drop. ;)

Rap didn't exist when I was a teenager!:lmao: But oh yes, the stereo was cranked. It's funny but I still drive in the car by myself with the music blasting. However, I can't stand to listen to DD's music loud!:rotfl2:

Luckily we have a few artists that we both like.:thumbsup2

I should get back to work and get a few more things done before time to close up shop. TTYL.

I would tell the twin and probably at an early age. But that's just the way I am, go ahead and tell everything up front. Then you don't have to sweat it and deal with it coming out later on. I've always had a saying "knowledge is power". I just don't see the value of hiding something, even if it's not pleasant. If everyone knows about it, then they can deal with it. Odds are some idiot cousin will spit it out when the kid is 10 years old or something. You just can't hide some things in a family.

My mother went to her grave with some secrets. There were some that her and I discussed as I got older, but some things that both my sister and I still wonder about and have questions. Now we can't ask her. I have a feeling she may not have told us the truth on a couple of them anyway. But it would have been nicer if she would have just told us about them when we were younger.

Anyway, probably that has a lot to do with the way I feel.
I wasn't thinking of it as 'hiding' some huge horrible secret, but rather "what the heck does it matter?"

And is it going to scare a small child to say "Well, there used to be two of you, but your sibling died." I guess I don't really think of it as a 'sibling' if they were not both born. Why the strong urge to tell the child about, as Staley said, essentially a miscarriage? It matters to the parents, but I'm not sure why a child, especially a young child, would need to know that. What difference would it make to the child? :confused3

I can understand parents that had a living child die would want to keep that child's memory, and tell siblings about that child even if one were born after the other passed. We faced some scares during the pregnancy with DS4, and I know DS8 was upset by a few of the scarier moments, since he was aware that something was very wrong. If the worst had happened, I certainly would have told him that we lost the baby, but I'm not sure I would keep harping on it as he grew up, because he "needs to know." I am guessing I would feel like he almost had a sibling, not that he'd had one and lost it.

I don't know. I can see your point, Sam, about somebody else bringing it up.

:cool2: I'm reading through Pixsters photog site. Some of the comments amaze me. I'm not that smart when it comes to photography and I'm so interested in what people have to say about it. I didnt get through all of them the other night. So I'm back. I'm on the bird.

Cool! Thanks for checking out my photos :cutie:

Come out hyenas! Now that I am free to DIS you guys are all in hiding!! :sad2: :lmao:
