Ok I just ordered my new video camera!!!

I could not get mine to work properly when transfering to the computer so I told dh and he said JUST DO IT!!!

we had a huge credit from Sears burning a hole in our pocket so we got the video camera from there and it only cost us about $200 after that thank goodness!!! WOOHOO!!! :woohoo:

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Came back to the office and there was a lady looking for an MRI office in our building. She was older, rather large and extremely out of breath, I was a little worried she was going to keel over with a heart attack or something! Anyway I asked her if I could help her find a company and she started yelling at me! She said "Where the HE double toothpicks is Room #114"? I said "I don't think there is a suite 114 in this building, my office is 120...what company or office name are you looking for?". She yells "I need my &*$#^&*$# MRI, what's wrong with you?". I said "Maam, I don't believe there is an MRI company in our building, perhaps they are right across the street in the building that looks like ours, can I help you over there?". NO, I've already been there!! she yells. She was just totally going ballistic, sweat rolling down her face and I seriously thought she was going to pass out or something, her face was all red.

She looked at me and started yelling "Can't you see I'm upset, OMG I have to have this MRI, please help me"! Then she started crying. At that point I was guessing she must have just received some very bad medical news. I said "Maam, let me help you, do you have the address or company name"? She handed me a slip of paper and I recognized it as a building that was located about 2 blocks away. She leaned against the wall and rested and then apologized and said her doctor said she might have cancer and she had to go for this MRI. She had just come from her doctor's office and they called and got her in for an emergency MRI right away. I told her I was a 2 year breast cancer survivor and that everything was going to be ok. We talked for a few minutes, she calmed down and then I walked her out to her car in the parking lot.

So how weird was that?? There are a lot of office buildings in our area and we get people in our hallways all the time that are lost. But don't you think that was odd that I would get somebody that had just been told they might have cancer. What's really odd is I never thought to ask her what type of cancer or what they were suspecting. Anyway, I'm sure she's doing much better now and hopefully has reached her MRI office. So I will be saying a little prayer for her today (I don't even know what her name was!).

Wow, Sam.
That was a very cool thing you just did.

Pixster, thanks for the info on the Candlelight Processional. It does occur during our stay, so I gather that means bigger crowds? Plus there are two nights during our stay where the park will close early, at 6 PM. Guess I didn't not research well enough this time. :(

The Processional sounded kinda cool until I got a look at the prices! :scared1:
We will NOT be doing that, so guess we'll hope the crowds aren't so bad in other areas of the park...??? :confused3

:grouphug: Good grief Alison! You were awesome for assisting her, even after she yelled at you.

I heard that they choose a celebrity to be the narrator every year. I have no clue who it is this year. :confused3 I believe I read that last year it was Jane Seymour. I have never seen or took part in this but I have seen the white chairs they set out close to the flagpole on Main St. You are right about the cost too! Yikes! :faint: I read that the kids price is the same as the adults price. Eek! :scared:

Hi Hyenas!!

This is a drive by. I've been catching up on other threads, getting ready for our quick weekend in October for Mickey's Trick or Treat Party.

By the way, I got on the other night, and thanks to Alex spent the whole night reading about the "safe." :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: All for naught. And Dave was sick about it, cuz he loves old safes and has about 4 of them. He said it was cool because of the scrolls around the edge. So they find nothing, and now they can't get nothing for it, cuz they ruined it. :sad2: He was upset!

Here is something I found while surfing.
:lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Think I'm going to put this on a T-shirt. It should be fun to wear while handing out candy, and while I help DD in her classroom of 3rd graders.

The early closing nights are likely for the cast member holiday parties.
You can watch the Candlelight Processional without a ticket, but it would mean standing on street level.

I know the hotels fill up during that weekend.. BUSY!
It's a block out weekend for most APs as well, Disney expects it to be busy.. but on a happier note.. while everyone will be congregating on Main Street for the show, the back of the park will be lighter on crowds.

At least it won't be as crowded as Christmas Day :thumbsup2 we braved that one year.. never again!

I loved early December at the park, crisp night temps and mellow day temps. The park is drop dead .. all your dreams come true... gorgeous! The castle lighting made me want to cry.. pretty!! pretty!! pretty!! :goodvibes

Your boys will love the special events-- cookie decorating, music, meet and greets with the characters decked out in winter gear, petting the reindeer.
Even my teen/ pre teen thought the reindeer roundup area was special.. a little babyish for them to fully enjoy but Noah was happy to participate.

YIKES! You made me go re-check the block-out dates, because I specifically picked weekends that weren't blocked. Thank goodness, they're not blocked, at least for the deluxe. (Perhaps you were thinking of the SoCal APs?)

Hi, pix. :)

I'm going to switch to the laptop now, BRB...

Hi Alex! How was your day?
HI, pix.

Sorry that took so long. Apparently DH replaced the network card in the laptop tonight, and for some reason it's not working right. He didn't have time to fix it tonight, so I will be laptopless tomorrow! :scared1:

So I'm back at the PC.

Today was all right. DS4 didn't get assaulted (or assault anyone) at preschool... He asked if he could have a lizard... because it has lots of sharp teeth and he wants to feed it... and then blow it up with Daddy's guns...!!! :scared1:

We watched the dinosaurs on Discovery channel last night, maybe he saw a little more of the grisly scenes than I realized. Yech! I said no to the lizard,so then he asked if he could have a penguin... :rotfl2:

The kooky neighbor may be coming back into the picture again. I'm so disappointed about that. While I was annoyed at all the drama she created, I enjoyed being able to step outside my house without her popping over to join us within 5 minutes... or have her join DH on his nightly walk... When we were driving back from preschool at noon, this silver car drove by and the occupants were waving to me wildly. I waved back, looking closely to figure out who the heck it was, and then when I realized it was her (and her mother), I thought, "Ohhhh, crap! Here we go again!" :headache: DH says to expect a plate of cookies to be delivered to the door any day now. I told him I'd be sure to tell her where to put those cookies... :rolleyes1

DS8 had a good day at school. We worked on his homework (dealing with coins) while DS4 was in his gymnastics class, then I took them to Taco Time for dinner. (DH was off to coach a soccer team.) Then we walked up to my friend's house to join her kids in a walk to the local McDonalds for ice cream. :)

How was your day?

:rotfl: That's funny that your DS4 wants a lizard but scary what he wants to do with it! :faint: :rotfl: I haven't seen that dinosaur show yet but my bf and I taped it.

Good gravy on the crazy neighbor! :scared: Lock your doors and hide your children! :scared1: :scared1:

I know. DH is very worried about what I'm going to do if someone shows up at the door with a plate of cookies. That's her way of saying "I'm sorry" without actually saying the words. She's done it two or three times before when she's thrown a hissy fit.

This time I've had it. DH says he hopes he's home when it happens because he doesn't want me to make a big stink. (As if! I have never ever been rude to someone at my door.) I want to talk with her and tell her how I feel, not slam the door in her face or say something just to be unkind.

Anyway, he thinks she'll be too cowardly to bring them herself, that she'll send someone else. Honestly I'd have no trouble telling her DH how I feel, either, but if she sent her sweet mother over, I'd have a much harder time. She is a real sweetheart, and I'm not sure how much she knows of what this woman (her daughter) has said and done. :sad2:

Every time I see him I think: "I see dead people" :rotfl:
Cute! What is that song from? Some of the words and melody come straight out of the Sleeping Beauty song, and (DUH!) the video showed clips of that movie... :confused3
