meatloaf? Rarely make it, not a fan favorite in our house except hubby and I.. though Justin is at the age where he would likley eat it.

My problem is I buy big rolls of ground beef and chunk it out into the freezer in smaller packages. Frozen solid hunk of meat does not work well into meatloaf.


hmm, I can't remember the last time I bought any ground beef-- I guess I should though hubby needs the protein and iron, chicken is not quite enough to bump his lab values. He's just at the required level for Albumin in his labs.. but it had slipped from the months before.

I could have him eat more eggs... but oooooooooooooo not always a good idea. stiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkyyyy

Give him a box of Total. One of the highest iron foods you can get. Well one of the highest iron foods that actually tastes halfway good.

I ate a lot of nuts when I was going thru chemo. Meat just tasted gross, so the doctor said to keep cans of nuts on the tables and just snack on them all day...they are not super high in protein like meat, but are still have a fair amount of protein. Pumpkin seeds are also fairly high in protein...you have plenty of pumpkins around, so that should be a problem!
