Well Ladies, I need to go run an errand and grab some lunch. TTYL!

my birthdays that week. :D i wanna go to VEGAS!!!! :D

anyhow, im not quitting for now. I cant quit. :(

Alright, you scared me there. Well happy bday!!! It is my nephew's bday while we are there too - I told him I was going to make him wear a bday button

Do they really think I am serious??? CPS should be knocking on my door any minute now :lmao:

I think some do! Hard to tell yet but it could turn into a huge thread. You can always say its in response to no one answering your other questions but let it sit for awhile. I was going to let it get to one page then give you detailed instructions on what I'd do.

Give him a map and circle where to meet you since he cant read everything yet. Draw a line from point X to the circle on the map. Take side walk chalk and draw an X on the ground where he is standing when you leave him and make a trail to where a circle is around the entire matterhorn just in case he doesnt understand the map. :thumbsup2 Make sure he has a water bottle just in case it takes too long. :lmao:

Of course they do, you dork! These poor women are going to be all in a tizzy, picturing some poor child left at the gates by himself, with a water bottle and a map he can't read. :lmao:

You were a little too subtle, I think. Sam's comment was a little more obvious, especially with the hyena reference, but I don't think those folks know who the hyenas are. I think you need to post something a little more ridiculous... like Shawna said.

I proudly note that no one has flamed you yet! Go, DLers! :thumbsup2

Now if you'd posted that on the CB, I bet it would have sprouted wings and letting loose huge bird droppings by now! :scared1:

I wont because it would start something entirely different but I honestly feel like responding to that last woman that he wouldnt be home alone so its a different situation he would be surrounded by thousands of strangers so he should be safe. :thumbsup2

I find it funny though there are 74 people that have looked at the thread - but must be biting their tongues :lmao:

Maybe they're the ones who realized it was a joke? :confused3

ETA: Or maybe they're those people that complain about there being so many kids at DL!

The last response is classic....that now we know why kids go missing :rotfl2: . Yep lady, I am going to abandon my child and publicize it on the dis boards. Seriously, I really just wanted an answer to my other question - ok, and a bit of a laugh :lmao:

When I was growing up we always lived in more diverse neighborhoods, so we didn't really notice it. In CA there were a lot of Italians and Mexicans in town, heavy Catholic area. There was also an East Indian family or two. In WA, at least on the west side of the state, there are a lot of Asians, and at least back then, more African Americans in Seattle proper.

When we traveled to the Midwest to visit relatives, I went to the local mall with my cousins. When we walked in we saw tons of white people! And not just white people, but I swear, at least every 4th person was blond!
I muttered something to my sister about how odd the crowd looked, and she'd noticed it, too.

We went back to my aunt's house and our moms asked how the shopping trip was. I said something about how strange it was, like Twilight Zone, to be around so many white faces and blond heads, and they all looked at us like  ... including my mom! (Who, by the way, is blond haired - blue eyed..) :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

How do you come up with these things? OMG, and so dead on!!! :lmao:
I know... Weird, huh? You should have seen our open house last night. I looked around, and kind of whispered to Dh... We are the ONLY white people here. Besides the teachers. Not that I have any issues with it. After all.... you have seen my kid. Plus, he is learning spanish. and I dont have to pay for it. :cool1: :lmao:
Dizzy, if you check in that day can't you get a voucher from the hotel or at least go "check in" to the hotel and then they can give you something for Alec so he can get in too before. You would have to get there really early to do this but at least you wouldnt have to chance it.

We checked in at the PP at 6 am one day. We also had concierge, so they let us have breakfast in the lounge before we hit the park. We had stayed at the Hojos the night before.
