Great, what's for dinner??!!:rotfl2: We did the DDP once and I swear we ate so much I thought I was going to bust! I think they have downsized it a bit since then. But our's had 2 snacks, 1 counter service (including drink & dessert), 1 table service (including appetizer, drink, & dessert). I swear I gained about 20 pounds on that trip! But it was SO good!!

We were not doing dining at all because this is typically not how we eat, 1 TS a day and all. We could be very happy being unscheduled and only eating at counter service meals. HOWEVER since its FREE then OH YEAH. But now I'm left with the slim pickings on dining because free dning has been offered for a few weeks. Some of the key ones we wanted are not available. Oh well, Ill try something else tomorrow when they open.

Doesnt matter because its FREE!!!

Well, I should say we had to pay a little more for our room but it was still cheaper than rack rate. So discounted room rate and free dining! Can't beat that!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Awesome!!! So which ones are you trying?

Well, my brain was spinning because I just got everything booked 30 minutes before they closed but I was able to get into the last showing of the Hoop Dee Doo. I am worried it might be too late except its only 6:30 our time. :lmao: and its the day after the halloween party so we will sleep in that morning.

Then I booked Teppan Edo, Boma, Biergarten (dh wants to do this again, YUCK)

I tried for Ohana's and could not get it the dates we wanted. I might rearrange and see if I can get it again. I also want to see about booking Prime Time, I wish Coral Reef still had crab legs.

Oh have you ever tried Capn Jacks in DTD? I just read about that place. I'll have to go hunt for reviews and pictures. I'm pouring over menus now. :lmao: And I'm hungry. :rotfl2:

We already have Sci-Fi, Whispering Canyon, Cinderellas royal Table and Chef Mickeys

There's a Gottschalks near Staley, but not near me. I haven't been in a Macy's FOREVER, but might be worth a trip. :)
Yeah! Go buy a nice pair of tight jeans, and nice shirt and go out on the town with DH!! :love2:

UGH, the dungeon. I am not a fan of that place. I know I'm the ONLY one. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You are on the right track but I'm imaging they are full. They were almost full last time I checked but we decided against it.

I gotta go grab Morgan, be right back.

I've done Coral Reef, Ohana's (kids loved it!!), Hoop De Doo (DS got picked to go up on stage!), one at MGM but can't remember the name (was a buffet) next to the 50's cafe??, Donald's Breakfastsaurus at AK, Crystal Palace, the Irish one at DTD, Wolfgang Puck's at DTD, Earl of Sandwich (one of my fav's)

Hi Melody! Seen your post earlier, yes I am very happy with the reconstruction. I still need to make an appointment to get the tattooing done (had to wait for 3 months after nipple reconstruction). But then I will be all done! I'm thinking I might wait until this winter to have the tattooing done.

Oh sorry Shawna, to answer your question. No I haven't eaten at Capn Jack's. There always seems to be a huge line there. Do they take reservations now?

We did enjoy the Wolfgang Puck Cafe in DTD. There food was really good and the kids loved their dessert's. DS's kid dessert had a plate that was like an artist's paint palette. It had a giant scoop of ice cream and all of the little color pots were filled with toppings, sprinkles. He talked about that dessert for years. It wasn't real fancy, we only ate downstairs at the cafe part. I believe it was on the DDP and I had read reviews that the food was just as good as the fancier upstairs.

Alison, the lady who tatooed my eyes, does all the reconstuctive surgery tatooing here too. I'v seen some of her pictures. Truly amazing!! :goodvibes

The only thing I didn't like about the DDP was we were using the internal buses and felt like we would get back from the parks, barely get to rest/swim and then had to hop back on a bus to go get dinner.

If I had to do it again I would have had a couple more "big breakfasts" for our table service and then just used a few of the counter services for an early dinner.

Even the kids kind of complained that we either had to stay at the parks later or make a round trip on the buses. Or hop on a bus to DTD. I don't know, it just made for some long days.

Some of the plastic surgeons here do the tatooing. But mine referred me to a lady in Portland that also does the eye liner tattooing also. My plastic surgeon said she does an awesome job. I should just go ahead and make the appointment, but I've been so busy lately. My 3 month nipple healing was up this week, so I should be ok to go.:thumbsup2

The only thing I really don't like about the reconstruction is the tightness in my abdomen. I guess it takes 1-2 years to completely heal and then sometimes you still have that tight feeling for the rest of your life. But I knew that going into the surgery, so it's just something I have to learn to live with. You know when you have a facial, that tight feeling that you get when they put product on your face. That's sort of the feeling that I have all the time on my abdomen. It does get better with each passing month though.

I am going to sign up for a yoga class that starts next month. So I'm hoping that exercising and stretching more will help loosen up the muscles and make it feel better.

Interesting!

Yoga should be really good. Or some kind of core muscle class. Where you use a big ball all of the time.

Those classes are good, but I always seem to get to sleepy in them.
I prefer some aroebics, and weight training in one class. Good for the bones. :rolleyes1

See scheduling is what I really dont like because I dont want to wait around etc, however like I said we will try it if its FREE!!! I keep repeating that word just to make it real.:lmao: :lmao: There was no way I was going to pay for this though. 12 TS meals is too much time for our family. I'm seriously considering using the 2 TS credits for both CRT and Hoop de doo so we just schedule 8.

I know everyone says not to do this to get your bang for your buck but like I said if its free why not. :lmao: Then we will have the other days to just to CS's and fly by the seat of our pants. What do you think?

I like more active classes also. But my doctors want me to start with yoga first and then work my way up to aerobics. Weight lifting is probably out because of my lymph nodes removed. I have mild lymphedema and weight lifting can irritate that. If I lift weights I have to start slowly, like 1-2 pounds, try that for a week. If no problems go up a pound or two every couple of weeks.

I like scheduling, but DDP was just a little too much scheduling for me. The one day that we did the breakfast, everyone commented that we should have done a few more big breakfasts as our table service, snacked at lunch and then used the counter service for a lighter dinner. You can use the counter service at the hotels also, so that makes it nice.

I think if I did it again I would also stay at a moderate or deluxe where I could also use the table service credit for a nice sit down dinner where I could be back to my room quickly instead of a long bus ride away.

We took little boxes of cereal along and used 1 of our snack credits to go to the food court each morning and get a quart of milk for cereal.

You can also use the table service credits for counter service if you want to. At least they let you do that a few years ago. I'm sure it's probably still the same. That way if you decide you don't want to have table service, just use them for counter service instead.

Finished my Thursday night TV.. had to switch between Grey's Anatomy (2 hr opener) and ER (final season)

boo hoo, why do they have to kill off characters when their contract ends? sniffle sniffle...

Because in the make believe world people can't just move. How unexciting is that?!:lmao: Besides, makes it much more exciting if they decide to come back...you know they got secretly kidnapped and an unknown evil twin took their place for 5 years.:lmao: :thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

Well no chance of that happening, this was on ER.. it's going dark after this season.

Though I 've heard they are bringing back a long dead character (Dr Green) , in flashback scenes... of course.

I used to be hooked on ER. I started watching it a LONG time ago...back when I was taking calculus and I was up until all hours of the night doing homework. I watched it for years, but for some reason I quit watching it a couple of years ago.

I think the last two years have been crappy storylines. It's time for it to end.
