We are havng a "duct tape" themed party for my 10 year old in a few weeks.

I always make an elaborate cake.. but I'm a bit stumped w/this theme. I have seen a few online where they took a real roll of tape (empty) covered it w/plastic and stuck it in the middle of a cake and frosted it like DT.

I might do this.. any other ideas? I was thinking maybe fondant or fruit leather? There would be 10 kids so I don't need a ton of cake.. 10 small ones would be fun, or maybe a few different colors..

Please throw your thoughts out there.. :)

My hairdresser's son and his prom date made outfits out of duct tape. It really came out nice. Not sure if 10 year olds could make perhaps hats out of duct tape for the party. Let them be the creative ones. :)

If you do one big cake I would use fondant to make the duct tape, but if you make cupcakes you could use the froot by the foot and that you look more realistic as the tape. :goodvibes

P.S. You should wrap the birthday boy's main gift in duct tape. That way it takes him a while to get into it! :lmao:
