The Celebrity Apprentice 2

quote=Imzadi]Brian was the easy scapegoat. Luckily, Brian has also become disenchanted and wanted out. So it worked out. Did Brian win any money for his charity?[/quote] He did. This was his second shot as PM (interesting that he jumped in for a second time before either Annie or Jesse volunteered even once). He led KOTU to their first win - I forget the challenge, but Claudia got fired.

She's going on and on about how stubborn and pigheaded Clint is? Lady, get a mirror!

However, if Joan's team loses, I think Golf Chick will go before Joan. Like Chloe, she's dead weight.
On the other hand, if her plan to raise funds from Annie's biggest poker opponents works... ;)

ABSOLUTE, TOTAL, 100% GUESS (vs. any type of spoiler, before anybody blasts me)

Does anybody else think Trump will find a way to fire Joan and Melissa the same week? Or that, if Melissa does get fired, Joan really will quit?

This is what I think. These two gals how how to play for TV exposure. Joan will, of course, be up in arms. If it's an unfair firing, where Melissa gets ganged up on, Joan will act the same way and want to go with Melissa.

If it's a justified firing, Joan will be distraught for her poor baby. Either way, we will see this type of scene:

Joan: Oh, Melissa baby, I'm leaving with you. This is so horrible. I can't stand it.

Melissa: Mom, I'm okay. Really. You need to continue to do the show without me.

Joan: HOW?!? I can't do it alone, it's horrible what happened to you.

Melissa: Mom, you have to stay. Do it for me. Do it for US. Win this thing and show everyone. Make me proud... yada...

Finally, Joan agrees ;) to carry on and continue to do the show, <sniff> without Melissa. Now, she's going to win with a vengeance. :rolleyes1 They get two minutes of airtime. They are happy. Trump & producers are happy for the drama, and the mother/daughter duo come out looking very solid.

Joan is just as spoiled as immature as her daughter. Both their egos are just insane. No amount of plastic surgery can fix the ugly that oozes from the inside.

lol....too funny....did you see that the only way Joan could show that she was mad was by throwing her drink down since she can't move the rest of her face !!

I do think they are under-estimating Annie. Like another poster said, she is a poker player. Best bluffer of all. Anyway Joan is using the same words this week to describe Annie as she did last week to describe Clint and this week she loves Clint.....whatever !!!

Guess it keeps us watching huh....:3dglasses

He's also owner of the Miss Universe Pageant. (Or own of those.) Again, he doesn't want to promote reckless drinking and driving for that demographic.)

He had a Miss USA a few years ago who was drugging and hoochie-ing it up through the club scene and instead of firing her he said that everybody needed a second chance.

Khloe's dad was Robert Kardashian and he was OJ Simpson's atty for his trial. They were very good friends Kardashians and the Simpsons. When OJ was accused of murder, Robert became his atty.

It's widely thought that Kardashian is the one who disposed of the murder weapon/clothing since he was seen the day after the murder leaving OJ's house with a garment bag. He eventually turned the (empty) garment bag over the police but wouldn't discuss what was in it or why he had it.

Kardashian is also the one whose jaw dropped open when the verdict was read, like he was not only shocked, but horrified that OJ was acquitted.

Can I ask if anyone knows when the Celebrity Apprentice became the Joan and Melissa Rivers show??

I don't think it's fair at all that Joan and Melissa are getting commercials from the show while on the show and the other celebs have gotten nothing.

Last week it was an All commercial and this week a Lifelock commercial--Pretty soon all the commercials for the 2 hour show will be nothing but Joan and Melissa.

I am so sick of Joan and Melissa! I just caught up with 2 back-to-back episodes online and I am DONE with their whining. I cannot believe the way that Joan acts with all her little hissy fits! Sure, Clint is a jerk but Joan didn't respect him and wouldn't give him a chance to get a word in edgewise when he was project manager. If she didn't try to bully him then maybe he would have come up with something better than the bedroom scene. Then, she was just plain NASTY in the boardroom toward Clint and my jaw dropped when Melissa joined in jumping all over Clint and she wasn't even on their team! Then it was all whiny Melissa on last Sunday's show. Get a grip!

I think that Annie has a couple of aces up here sleeve and I think she can being in some big donors. Does anyone remember ... is the whole project based on the amount of money that they can raise? Or is some of it based on things like dresses and the jewelry itself? If it's based on the money raised then it really doesn't matter that Joan selected Natalie to choose the jewelry ... but I think Joan is setting her up as a scape goat in case she goes down.

I think it is time for Clint to go home. I thought he said he could auction. That was bad. Joan saved the day there.

As annoying as Annie is she gets the job done. She sure was mad on the phone.

Joan is yelling and saying she will never speak to Clint, now Annie.

Sure hope it is not Melissa and Joan as the final two. But Joan has said many times if Melissa goes she goes. They are different teams. And now there are only two on Joan's team who is Trump going to put over there. I missed the previews for next week.

Joan and Melissa were pretty ridiculous last night. Not even on the same team and they have to defend each other. I guess they are both so insecure that they are afraid if they don't do it, no one else will either.

I think Joan set Natalie up. The logical person to pick out the jewelry was Joan. But Clint was pretty lame as the auctioneer and Joan did save the day there.

I've always kind of liked Annie. Any woman who can make a living playing poker has my respect. Professional poker takes some pretty tough nerves. I hope she hangs in there a few more weeks. I am a Clint Black fan so I initially was hoping he would win or at least come close. But the more I watch him, the more I don't like him.

I think Annie is going to win it...

Trump was very impressed that she has good friends who will come when she calls.

I love Annie. She really gets things done.

Clint... wow... anyone lost a bit of respect for him?

Joan and Melissa really crack me up. It's nice to see a Mother and Daughter who love each other so much.

I like Annie too. I always did since the beginning. She does get the job done and that's what Trump likes. I hope she wins. I was also hoping for Jessie but I think he screwed up not stepping up with donations. He is PM next week so we will see what happens. The previews had Joan calling Brandy names so I guess she is mad at her now. What drama!! But I guess it keeps us watching !!

I don't care for Annie. I don't like her leadership style. I have no respect for a leader that doesn't play to the strengths of the team. I didn't care for her annoucement that the only thing that mattered in the challenge was money. Obviously both Melissa and Jessie contributed to the task in a way other than raising money. I believe in Servant Leadership - supporting your followers so they can produce for you. All that being said, I think Annie has a great chance to win. The Donald seems to appreciate the "do anything to win" philosophy - unless you embarass his daughter.

I thought the strategy employed by Kotu, to pool their donations for one piece, was a good one. I thought it was inappropriate, and against the history of the show, for Evanka to not recognize this as a smart business move.

Can I ask if anyone knows when the Celebrity Apprentice became the Joan and Melissa Rivers show??

I was wondering that too.

I am so sick of Joan and Melissa!

I so agree.

I think it is time for Clint to go home. I thought he said he could auction. That was bad. Joan saved the day there.

That and he is not a very good team player. If they agree with him great but he doesn't want to listen to any other idea's.

Oh my goodness! I laughed out loud at Evanka's look when Trump was taken in by Joan's crocodile tears and said "See? She has a good heart!" :rotfl:

I don't care for Annie. I don't like her leadership style. I have no respect for a leader that doesn't play to the strengths of the team. I didn't care for her annoucement that the only thing that mattered in the challenge was money.
She *did* assign them tasks to their strengths and she also knew that Jesse was sandbagging the donations just like she did previously. She tried to light a fire under his butt. Of course, it didn't work. He's holding out his big donors for later so they count for him ... Pierce even called him on it.

Pierce also called Joan out on being a huge snot (she compared Annie to Hitler?!?) and Melissa out for supporting her. I wish that Trump would not say their behavior was "all right" again and again. It's not and he wouldn't put up with it from people in his real organization.

I think Trump is going to even up the teams again. From next week's promo:

New: Sunday, April 26th, 9/8c
The task to design an ad campaign for Right Guard has the celebs sweating bullets - and a firing leads to a boardroom explosion. (TV-PG DL)

Please, oh please, oh please let it be Joan!

Annie is effective minus any couth or team playing skills, people like that make me sick. I worked with so many of them I couldn't count. They eventually run into an adversary who will put her in her place.

Getting gamblers to come to an auction? Gamblers will bid on anything, so what? :confused3

I admire the respect Joan and Melissa have for each other, even though Melissa sort of turns me off. Clint keeps sliding by because slick Donald wants all the conflict people to stay for ratings sake. His dream team, Melissa, Joan, Clint and Annie...UGH!!! The rest just fall to the wayside.

Hershel Walker was my hero thru this show. What a great guy... and NO, he should NEVER marry Joan's daughter... :lmao:

I can't stand Annie. She is soooo full of herself and doesn't shut-up!!!! I hope she is fired next week. Joan is cracking me up. Trump will keep her around for entertainment purposes. That is probably why Clint is around. I wonder if Trump will even out the teams next week and team Annie with Joan. OMG that would be explosive!!!!!

She *did* assign them tasks to their strengths and she also knew that Jesse was sandbagging the donations just like she did previously. She tried to light a fire under his butt.

She may have made assignments based on strengths - but she didn't suppor thier strengths. Melissa obviously did a good job with the clothes and jewerly. She didn't appreciate her contribution - instead she just wanted money. I don't appreciate a leader who can't use the strengths of their team in a way where everyone feels like they've contributed.

And as for trying to "light a fire under his butt" - that apparently wasn't the way to motivate Jessie. A real leader would have found a better way

Did anyone else catch how unfair the money raising system is? Annie's charity walked away with $200,000, while Jessie's only got $20,000. And Jessie said last week he had people in Hollywood, who could have given $1M if he called them up, and then for his task, he didn't need to raise money. :confused3

Anyone else think what Trump said to Jessie about being good in bed was inapporopriate? It was funny, but I think innappropriate in a boardroom setting. It's not like Jessie can have his family watch the show featuring his own task now.

It also seems like Trump has sex on the brain this season, with what he said to Jessie, and also leering at Brandi & that model in the lingerie.

I don't see how this is Joan & Melissa's fault? I would blame it on the other people's managers or agents. It sounds like Joan & Melissa have very savvy agents or managers. They probably got on the phone with them as soon as Joan knew she won the task and said, "Get them on the phone in the morning, so we can do some real commercials for Lifelock.

Really, besides winning money for their charities, this is about primetime exposure and publicity for these celebs. If they don't make the most of it while they are there, and they don't win some money for their charities, what's the point of being on?

Trace Atkins song got a lot of exposure. I think it went to number one on the charts. A lot of that was due to singing it on the show.

Did anyone else notice Carolyn Kepture(?), who used to be on The Apprentice, in Season One, in Ivanka's chair, was in one of the Lifelock commercials?

I think Joan set Natalie up. The logical person to pick out the jewelry was Joan. But Clint was pretty lame as the auctioneer and Joan did save the day there.
Someone mentioned that last week. If it was true, it actually was smart thinking. Joan knew they probably couldn't pull the money in that Annie could.

I thought Clint was a close second to being fired.

Trump was very impressed that she has good friends who will come when she calls.
I'm really surprised at the poker community. When you live in a mentality of you can win or lose it all in one hand, I would have thought they'd be be tighter with their money. But, maybe realising luck and having enough gratitude for what they got and to share it is also part of their thinking.

I really don't get the pool their donations for one piece idea. They had to know it was about showcasing Ivanka's jewelry, too. It was embarrassing when her rings weren't worth $20,000 & Clint wouldn't drop the price to sell them.

If they had gotten better pieces they might have sold more on EACH piece.

Joan is cracking me up. Trump will keep her around for entertainment purposes. That is probably why Clint is around.

I think that was the biggest reason they got rid of Hershel. He is a great worker bee, but he has no real on-camera personae. With Clint, you know there's a potential for drama there.

I *think* they move Jessie to Kotu's team. I seem to recall, in the quick flash they showed on the previews, that Athena's team is all women next week.

I forgot about the Pierce and Trump getting on Jesse about his connections due to his wife- Sandra Bullock. I've been surprised Jessie hasn't called any big name Hollywood stars to help. I wonder if they had an agreement not to involve her and her contacts for the show or maybe he's saving it for later?

I'm thinking he's saving her for the finale if he makes it that far. Last (and first) Celebrity Apprentice, it ended with a big fundraising event. Piers brought in all his big-wigs. Trace would have also, except the event landed on the nite of the Country Music Awards, :headache: so none of his music collegues showed up.

Jesse did mention he could make a couple calls to Hollywood for $1M. I'm wondering, if he had managed the Ivanka jewelry task instead of Annie, would he have called in his markers. Sandra could have shown up to buy herself a beautiful bauble of Ivanka's. She could have worn it on some red carpet event later, mentioning again how Jesse was on the ICelebrity Apprentice."

Of course, [just cynically SPECULATING] there's always the possibility that Jesse & Sandra are on the rocks & headed for divorce and she won't be on because of that. This IS his third marriage. He could be doing this in advance for damage control later, so we all think, "I saw him on The Celebrity Apprentice. He was usually so meek and quiet. I can't believe he was bad to Sandra." :confused3 It's one thing to be the enigma that married one of the best loved actresses in Hollywood. It's another to be the Dumpee.
